IXL is rage baiting

IXL is rage baiting and says you're wrong when you aren't. Once, they told me to choose what word you would use in general to complete this sentence.
" May I have a_________ with you?" and the word choices were conversation and communication. I chose conversation because saying "Can I have a conversation with you" Is normal right? They said it was communication. Who in the English vocabulary would say; "Can I have a communication with you?" Like I literally write essays and gets A+ on them and they tell me I'm wrong. Bruh. Oh and the math says that 5.0 does not equal 5. AND THEN they set you back from a smart score of 99 all the way to 76. T-T

IXL has ruined practice for me...

My school has ixl assignments like other schools. Though, many teachers just give us ixl for virtual days. Ixl has become so frustrating for some kids that the hit chrome books, ect. Ixl makes it hard for me and my pears to learn, it feels like military drills, trickery. Yay! i understand the skill my score is at 50. Ixl makes it harder to succeed by only give 1-3 points while a mistake costs me 5-15.

I would do 0 stars.

I am mainly doing a review to bring IXL to 1.0. Every single kid I knows hate IXL and that is just a fact. I have to get my “Smart Score”. Smart score is like under is 100 is u r not smart. I got an 1150 in ela and my teacher is always grading me harder. All it does is bring kids depression and anxiety. You get one right and it gives like 5 and a wrong one subtracts like 10. I have punched my Chromebook hundreds of times and I WISH it would break. I am making a petition against this on change.org for this and other websites such as I-Ready and GoGuardian.

This site actually triggers me.

This site actually triggers me.
So I'm an (almost) 6th-grade student and ive been forced to do IXL since i came to the US (from 3rd grade to now) in the country i was from i had to do normal paper homework, boring yes but better than this stupid site that im having to do thru out the time ive been in the US, and guess what? I've always used "Inspect" to "nuke" the site and remove every element, but last year they blocked it since we got a new principal, and you know what's worse? They say, "Our website sparks creativity." No, it doesn't. Need I say more about this dumb website that is forced on us?

Never, ever download IXL

When I was in 3rd grade, my math teacher assigned 2 IXLs as homework. Each night. If you are a student or a parent who has used IXL, you know that just one of those soul sucking, trauma inducing, “learning opportunities” is enough to make you cry for hours. It took me 3 hours to get through one, and by the time I was at the end, the questions were too hard for my mom to do. 3rd grade stuff by the way, not college level calculus. Soon, I developed depression. I was making suicide threats each week, self harm was a regular after I was done with my IXL. Not only did that thing give me pretty bad depression, it was like I was constantly compared to my peers. It took my friend 45 minutes to do one, while it took me 3 hours. See, the cruel thing about IXL is in the beginning, you think: I got this! I’m so awesome, this will take me no time! Then, some where down the line, you realize that it doesn’t matter how many question you get right, you’re still going to fail. I realize this sounds more like a psychological horror movie than a children’s math app, but it’s the truth. Please, I beg you to never download IXL, unless you want my experience.

I hate ixl.

one time I was doing ixl and my 'smartscore' was very low, so I tried to make the lessons faster. It got to a point that I was physically and mentally exhausted, I was sweating and everything, it was horrible (I'm also neurodivergent so it was way worse). I spent all of my time in class trying to complete that lesson. It got even worse when my teacher said that ixl counts in our grade. That's why my grade in that class is so low. Its not even me anymore, is the dehumanizing website.

IXL Is Mentally Ruining Students

I'm a freshman who uses IXL daily, I personally think its useless. I usually end up googling the answers just to get it over with because its so mentally taxing. It causes me genuine distress and takes HOURS to complete 1 lesson. Don't get me started on the points system, get one right? You get 1-3 points. Get 1 wrong? 10 points down the drain! I highly encourage anyone who values their mental health to NOT USE IXL.

I have been getting worse grades since…

I have been getting worse grades since my district has started requiring IXL. We are required to do 15 lessons per week and each lesson takes anywhere from 20mins-3hrs because of the horrible “Smart” Score system. If you get many questions correct you only get one point for them but if you get one question you lose 15 points. In my class if you do not do all 15 lessons for the week by the end of the school day at 1:30 on Fridays then my teacher will publicly humiliate you by writing your name on her board for everyone in your grade to see and if you are a good kid then she will be mad at you. The smart score system is really depressing and I have had a way less time study for test tests because it takes three hours a day just for one of my six classes homework and I also have other homework for the same exact class for every single lesson that we do

IXL is anxiety inducing

IXL is anxiety inducing. Their name is supposed to mean "I excel." But it doesn't make you excel at all, the only thing it does, is just give you anxiety, depression, and tears. Do not use this burning barrel garbage website. It's basically just a website built for kids to cry. Don't use it. It's for your own good.

Don't use IXL at all costs

I'm currently in 11th grade and had to use it a lot in the past and every time I had to do it whether that be for english as an assignment for my class or an assessment, and the same exact thing for math. This took place all throughout middle school and my past 2 years of highschool, currently we don't use IXL since their contract ran out, and I'm so grateful for that. Throughout the years of doing IXL for homework, it has put so much mental strain on me since I've been diagnosed with depression and anxiety, and doing IXL did not help, I've had panic attacks due to it and also mental breakdowns due to being so close to completing my IXL and getting a singular answer wrong and having to do another 7 questions just to get back to where I was. Majority of the time that I spent on IXL was me just using AI or Google or some other tool to cheat and just be done with IXL since it was pure torture for me. Another thing that made me feel shitty was the fact that we had assessments that would base our answers off of our reading comprehension so if we got a score that was below grade average it makes you feel stupid for not being at grade standard even if you're doing fine in English class as a grade.
If you're a teacher, staff member, or someone that works for any type of school board, or even a parent, don't make your students/children go through IXL, its not worth the stress, anxiety, and even possibly depression they'll have to go through.

IXL has no purpose to exist and adults don't get the point

People don't understand kids and just think that if they make a decision that its good for them. I have Autism and ADHD and I often feel as bored as I did during the lockdowns (My parents didn't shove me in front of an ipad). I've crashed out over it before. My mom who was a teacher before said that IXL even sucked when she WAS a teacher almost a decade ago. And I'm stuck with it, I cant opt out. It uses and gives my data. Im just a kid who wants be seen being professional so that someone can just understand and listen
