About iVisa
Written by the company
iVisa is a private online travel document service with over 12 years of experience helping travelers apply for visas and other travel authorizations easily and securely. We’re not a government agency.
Millions of travelers choose iVisa for convenience, speed, and support throughout the application process. To provide this service, we charge a service (processing) fee in addition to any government fees. This fee covers access to our easy-to-use website and mobile app, step-by-step guidance, document and photo validation, 24/7 customer support, support in 14+ languages and more.
iVisa offers multiple processing options: Standard, Rush, and Super Rush. Faster options mean our team reviews and prepares your application sooner to help ensure it is complete and error-free before submission. By reviewing your application for accuracy and completeness before submission, iVisa helps prevent delays caused by errors or reprocessing, which can result in faster overall approval compared to applying on your own.
We understand that travel plans can change. Our refund policy is designed to be fair and transparent, with eligibility depending on application status and timing. Full details are available here.
Our goal is to simplify international travel by providing clear information, reliable service, and responsive customer support at every step.

The entire process was very helpful to the traveler who wants to visit Brasil. Everything was straight forward and to the point and was easily explailed to the applicant. Excellent service! keep up the good work.
Absolutely disgraceful experience
Absolutely disgraceful experience with iVisa.
I found this company through a sponsored Google search result whilst trying to complete the Dominican Republic eTicket process. The website is presented in a way that makes it extremely easy to confuse with an official government service, particularly when travellers are urgently trying to ensure they meet entry requirements before flying.
What I find most unacceptable is that there was absolutely no clear or distinct explanation anywhere during the purchasing process that the Dominican Republic eTicket itself is completely FREE through the official government website. Despite this, I was charged an outrageous £90.90 for something that ultimately costs absolutely nothing through the official channel. At no point was there any meaningful separation between the supposed ‘government requirement’ and iVisa’s own excessive service charges.
In fact, I only discovered AFTER payment — when reviewing the invoice — that the actual Dominican Republic eTicket fee was listed as £0 and that I had effectively paid £90.90 purely in ‘service fees’ to a third-party company. This was not made distinctly evident before purchase in any transparent or obvious way. Had this been clearly explained upfront, I would never have proceeded with the payment.
The entire setup feels deliberately designed to confuse travellers into believing they are paying necessary official processing charges rather than optional third-party fees for submitting a very basic online form. Frankly, I find the business model deeply unethical and intentionally misleading.
Once I realised what had happened, I contacted the company immediately. Customer service was completely unhelpful, dismissive, and shockingly impolite throughout the process. Every response felt scripted, defensive, and entirely focused on protecting company profits rather than resolving a legitimate complaint. Despite clearly explaining that I felt misled by the sponsored advertising, confusing presentation, and lack of transparency surrounding the charges, they repeatedly hid behind ‘company policy’ to justify retaining the majority of my money.
What made the experience even worse was that no partial refund was offered whatsoever until after I had sent multiple angry emails and dealt with several different customer service representatives. It became painfully obvious that the company had absolutely no intention of offering any compromise or resolution unless I continued escalating the matter repeatedly. Even then, the partial refund eventually offered was frankly insulting considering the circumstances.
Charging £90.90 for submitting a free form is utterly indefensible — refusing to properly address customer concerns afterwards makes the entire experience even worse and demonstrates a complete lack of integrity, accountability, or genuine customer care.
I am genuinely appalled and disgusted by the lack of transparency, accountability, and professionalism shown by this company. In my opinion, the way this service is marketed is fundamentally deceptive and appears carefully structured to take advantage of travellers who reasonably believe they are dealing with an official or necessary government process.
I will now be escalating the matter formally through my card provider and consumer complaint channels, and I strongly encourage others to avoid this company entirely.
Please research and use the OFFICIAL Dominican Republic government eTicket website directly. Do not make the same mistake I did.
One of the most misleading, unethical and frustrating online service experiences I have ever dealt with.

Application
I am continuing to have a very poor experience with iVisa. I applied for a Thailand visa on 7 May 2026, well in advance of my planned departure on 10 June 2026. At the time of application, I was advised that the processing time would be approximately 10 days, which was acceptable.
However, by 25 May I had still not received my visa. When I contacted customer support to follow up, I was informed quite shockingly that no visa had been submitted on my behalf. I provided the agent with my order number, and she stated that the issue needed to be escalated to the “specialization team.” After waiting for a response, I was told that my application had been sent to the Thai Embassy in Pretoria, despite the fact that I clearly indicated that the nearest and correct embassy for my location is the Thai Consulate in Canberra, Australia.
What is most concerning is that no one from iVisa contacted me to inform me of this error or the resulting rejection. I only discovered the issue because I followed up myself after the promised timeframe had already passed.
Throughout this process, I received inconsistent information from different customer service agents. To make matters worse, several agents acted as though they were doing me a favour by offering to reprocess the application “free of charge,” even though the mistake was entirely on iVisa’s side. The only mistake I made was trusting your website when searching for information about the Thailand visa process.
I paid $148.95 for the visa service, only to later discover that the official Thai Government website charges approximately $60 and is straightforward to use. I also paid $99.95 for the Digital Arrival Card, which I later learned is completely free through the official government portal. This feels misleading and exploitative.
When the application was reprocessed on 25 May, I was told the visa would be ready by 9 June. Based on what I have learned, I find this highly unlikely. I contacted the Thai Consulate in Canberra directly, and they confirmed that visas take 10–15 business days and cannot be expedited and they had only received my visa on the 25th of May 2026. They also stated that third‑party organisations often provide inaccurate information about processing times.
As a result, I am now left uncertain about whether I will be able to travel with my friends to Bangkok and Phuket. I am also at risk of losing money on my flights, accommodation, and activities, all of which are non‑refundable. This situation has caused significant stress and financial concern.
At this point, iVisa has provided one of the worst online service experiences I have encountered. The lack of accountability, transparency, and accuracy has been extremely disappointing.
