Brilliant event

Brilliant event! Lots of staff. Clean well maintained toilets. Lots of food stalls dotted about ( few healthier options would be good (poke bowls/ decent salads etc) music was fantastic. Felt safe. Good price considering all the bands & events on offer over the 4 days.

One of the UK’s best festival choices

The line-up for the Isle of Wight is generally second to none, which is what makes us repeat attenders. The sunny micro-climate has worked well the last couple years. There are a lot of camping alternatives & it’s very easy to walk in and out of the venue to off site accommodation/food suppliers. The onsite food and drink provision is varied and not excessively priced versus any other festival. The other attendees are well behaved and fun to be around. The security staff were all pleasant, although some weren’t first language English speakers.
The Isle of Wight festival is geared to the ‘radio 2’ crowd. It’s generally older and more family orientated than say Leeds or Reading. It needs to cater for that but that didn’t work as well as it could have this year. The accessible toilets were not well supervised and everyone was using them. However when I made the festival management team aware of this they were keen to get constructive feedback and restructure the provision for the year after. They refunded the money we had paid for some ‘premium toilets’ that were in the camp ground and not that useful to us.
Overall I’d say they Solo are very experienced in delivering a high standard festival and it’s at the top end of UK festivals. The Isle of Wight in itself makes for an excellent mini break around the festival

About four bands worth seeing and I…

About four bands worth seeing and I adore my music. Lots of cover bands, out of control group's of children on drugs / vapes, security / staff in contact with the public could not speak English which is a safety concern. To get the wrist band you had to walk miles to get it....must be a better way than this.
Just felt like a cheap effort however the three stars instead of 1 were for the amazing security at the mainstage with the water and handing out sweets! ....IOW you need to fix this....
