Avoid avoid avoid avoid!! I purchased a Roomba Combo combined mop and hoover iRobot 3 months ago which has never worked properly. I’ve spent 3.5hours either waiting on hold or speaking to customer service reps who read from scripts, and who have not resolved the issue. They have failed to get back to me when promised and my device is still not working! It was very expensive and is a complete waste of money!
I have been a long standing iRobot customer and it’s incredibly disappointing to see what was once a good company with products that previously work well, reduced to this.
In utter frustration I have invested in another brand (Eufy) whose customer service is exceptional and the robot hoover is performing well!
I strongly recommend avoiding iRobot, they are a sham and a con.
I would agree with the reviews below. The customer service is useless. We have a simple fault with our five month old Roomba J7 and they are totally incapable of fixing it. I have sent photos and they sent me filters which are irrelevant to my issue. I really wish I had not bought one.
Unfortunately the customer support became useless, if you call be ready to have time to stay more than 1 hour waiting to get through if you are lucky. Email forget about it you will not get a reply. I got a Braava jet last year and now is not spraying water, trying to get support with my issue has been 3 weeks and still nothing. Contacted by phone, by email, by instagram, Facebook and the only thing I get back is that someone will contact me back. What a joke irish support is in UK to help.
Horrific customer service. They’ve owed me a refund of £1300 for over 6 weeks and keep putting up more red tape to delay the processing of it. They can take weeks to reply to emails, calling their CS you get random allocation and never speak to the same person twice. They cannot transfer calls or allow you to speak to managers - and even when you do request a call back from one they never do it. It’s just awful. Not what you’d expect from a company like this who charge so much for their products.
Ordered an iRobot but it’s not turned up and customer service has been absolutely useless.
No idea if it’ll ever turn up and as they won’t resolve it on their end I’m going to need to go through the onerous process of issuing a chargeback through my credit card. Waste of time.

I've never received the parts I ordered. Their tracking makes no sense. I basically have a £1000 doorstop. I've contacted them to ask for a refund, but no reply.
I'd recommend not using this company; they're truly ridiculous.
Dreadful customer service
My robot broke in after 3 months
I sent it back, they then sent me back a lesser model and seem to have lost the base and charger unit. Now they want me to send proof they have not sent me it back????

We bought our J7+ roomba combo in late 2023 after reading reviews on online mags specific for tech that it was the one to buy. We have two of us working shifts, two kids and a dog so in order to lighten the load a bit we purchased this.
And it was great…..
For about 6 months…..
It has since packed up and won’t work. One of the base unit contacts has sunk into the base unit and now it won’t dock or charge. Customer service has been abysmal and that’s being kind. 3 weeks after initial contact we are still waiting for a resolution. I wish I had found these reviews prior to purchasing. Avoid this company and their products and please take heed of these reviews. Massive expensive mistake, please learn from us and buy something else if you’re in the market for a robot hoover.
Appalling customer service. Received a faulty product and am finding it virtually impossible to get it replaced or repaired. Have to wait hours on the phone to actually get to speak to someone, and when you do - they don't have the 'authority' to authorise a replacement. Can't speak to a manager or anyone who does have the authority as they don't take phone calls. So here I am stuck with a broken product and unable to get it repaired, replaced or my money back.

I received a Roomba J9+ Combo as a gift, and it has been the worst possible present to receive, with all of the work I have had to put in just to get the damn thing to work.
It turns out that iRobot has not provided me with the correct equipment, thus not all functions are available.
I have been attempting to resolve this with their telephone support for some time - however this has gotten me no closer to actually resolving the issue.
They have sent me the wrong equipment twice, and now inform me they are out of stock. I suppose I am just out of luck!
Absolutely don't recommend - maybe if you actually got the equipment you ordered, you'd have a better experience. I wouldn't hold my breath though.
Really wish I had checked here before ordering. They sent me a used unit and even weeks later they are no closer to sorting it out. Terrible terrible terrible.
Second review on Trustpilot. On my third S9+ now and this company is a total joke, please don’t buy their products. The tyres on my S9+ have worn bald and the poor thing can’t navigate properly or dock itself. The tyres on my car last longer than this and clearly this is a product quality issue here. The consumable parts are incredibly expensive and don’t last long. Customer service either don’t respond or simply don’t listen to your issues. Have mailed the CEO of the company direct but guess what - no response !
One big SCAM company. Even if you will send back your items you will bever get a refund.

My roomba started malfunctioning within 6 months of buying it. It took over a month to arrange a repair because thier customer service is so slow. It came back from repair even more broken that when I sent it. Thier Customer service are now ignoring me, its been over 3 weeks since I told them the robot is still malfunctioning and I've heard nothing back from them
Our robot was great until it stopped working. Absolutely shocking customer service (as all the other reviews say), making us pay over £500 in changing parts - none of which worked. Now we have to pay another £50 to send the robot in for repairs before finding out how much the repair is. DO NOT BUY.

Had an iRobot which was one of the original models, it was like a tank and just kept going and going. When it finally died after about 8 years I had no hesitation buying a new one.
What a mistake!!! I’ve had my new iRobot Roomba i5 for about 2 months and it’s already stopped working. And trying to get hold of their customer services for support is a joke… unanswered emails, unanswered calls and when you agree to a callback when you’re on hold it never comes.
There is a solution to the intermittent behavior of Braava 390s (and variants), they may need new tyre treads. They can be bought on Amazon (search Braava 390 tyres). To fit, search ‘Fitting Braava 390 tyres’ on YouTube. Fitted these yesterday and it’s transformed the machine. Irobot do not sell or suggest them. They want you to bin a perfectly good product and buy another one.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Product (Roomba) is mediocre for the price. It’s only a matter of time before you need customer service and then you’re in big trouble. Endless waiting. Took me six weeks and finally got money back through PayPal
Terrible Experience!!!!
My husband bought me a Roomba S9 series combo, with the vacuum and mop. The vacuum started acting up terribly (getting lost/stuck each job or would just stop working in the middle of a job). I sent in a ticket to Robot asking for them to investigate/repair what the issue was. After which they sent me a trade in voucher- never sent us the vacuum back and stated that it was un-fixable. Now/Currently, we have received very poor communication from Robot personnel. One representative hung up on my husband when he was asking to speak to someone more qualified to process our issue. For a product that is brilliant, and I LOVE to use, I would not recommend it simply based on their customer service. They are unhelpful and your money is better off being spent on a similar product somewhere else.
Having had 2 previous robots over the last 15 years, buying another seemed the obvious choice - Roomba J9. Sadly this was the wrong choice! I don't know where to start with the issues faced, but slow customer service meant that my robot that is not working correctly in a number of ways now means they won't replace my machine, they want me to take the time and send it back and hopefully get it repaired under a warranty (as long as the problems are not exempt from warranty!!!). It hasn't worked properly since I had the machine and I spend so much time trying to resolve the issues it is a joke. Looking at the other reviews of the product this may never work like my previous ones did. I'm hugely disappointed with the service and machine and wouldn't definitely not recommend or buy another machine!
