Truly terrible customer service. I was lured into their luxury-tier subscription with the promise that I would be able to pick 3 of my own products. Did not happen.
You know that quiz you take about your beauty and skincare likes and dislikes? They ignored it.
In the next 2 weeks I received 1) an email welcoming me to Ipsy. 2) an email assuring me I would soon be receiving a list of products to choose among 3) an email announcing they had already mailed out my box.
In other words, they skipped the part where I was allowed to choose. Instead I got a box full of junk, including 2 things I specifically asked NOT to receive-- a mascara and skin toner.
The other items: 2 cheesy make-up brushes, a very strange blush palette of mostly browns. That left one moisturizer. I've never heard of the brand.
Every attempt to reach customer service and point out that this was their mistake was met with another bot. Finally they said, No, we don't let you pick any products your first month.
First month is the last for me.

I would give zero I could. They're very slow. I never got my box for December. Never got the email to make choices and feel l have been completely ripped off and money stolen

i usually have no issues and love my ipsy, this time my box arrived damaged with 4 of my products missing. i messaged with the glam bot and it said someone would reach out and figure out the issue. no one has contacted me and i have checked my email and spam folder as well.

Their website wouldn’t accept my payment (tried multiple times), so I decided to order with another company. A few days later I noticed they took the money out of my account. I emailed and told them to refund me and that I do not want the product since I purchased elsewhere and they told me all sales are final (I emailed before the product even shipped). Extremely frustrating company and terrible customer service representatives. Save yourself the frustration and just go with another company from the jump. This company is sketchy.

I moved in August. I changed my address and never got my pkg. emailed them. No response. Same thing the next month. I tried booking for customer service, phone number, etc. and got nowhere. Finally, now, in December I got through to it chat bot and after repeatedly saying I needed, Customer service got told they would email me. Long story short. They told me that even though I changed my address, my billing address hadn’t changed. They admitted they sent it to the wrong address - every month. Then they told me now that it’s corrected they can only send me this months bag. I’m livid.
Addendum: got an email saying I need to provide details or they’re gonna remove the review in two days. Meanwhile, they’re asking for information I don’t have and don’t know where to find. Obviously, that will affect my ability to warn people about this problem. That’s a shame.

Follow up part two!! No support or idea or looking into it. Ipsy created a shipping label and said it was being sent out and would be received by 12/17/25.... (ordered 12/2 and 12/6/25) and NOT EVER SHIPPED OUT! No one can look into.. here is a $3 compensation for your troubles. DO NOT ORDER FROM IPSY. They seem to collect money however not shipping out orders. No customer resolution. Lesson learned from me on IPSY. UGH
Follow up to IPSY! not only did they not look into anything that was shared with AI they didn't problem solve or work to find any answers. OH MY GOSH IPSY, you have major problems!!!
Oh my goodness, what once was a good company is no longer in my opinion. I shopped on the Ipsy site for Christmas presents and placed two orders on 12/2/25 and then 12/6/25. Sure they took the payment however would never process. The challenge is finding customer care. It is all through facebook messenger or X or a AI bot. NO answers, put a ticket in for customer care and no responses. Oh shipping ticket created and told received by 12/17/25 however it hasn't left the location. So someone is not being truthful. I would strongly encourage not to buy from IPSY site. Sure it is a wonderful cost savings however you may never ever get what you ordered so really no savings rather a risk and loss.
I appreciate the prompt follow up response. My only concern as all the quick response that I received earlier did not happen or were not complete or potentially AI sent. I really want to see if Ipsy will contact me. I was waiting also for an email response and nothing. Fingers crossed. Come on Ipsy you can do it if you really try. thank you

Would do zero stars if possible. Horrible shipping issues with no follow ups from support bots. Past two orders not delivered and no refund was given, or even anyone following up. Done with paying for this bullshit to not show up.

Shady practices. They will charge your account and you will not receive anything. Only customer service is a bot. Don’t waste your time and money.

Terrible business practices. Terrible customer service… Not only is it terrible, they do not have a number to call… just a chat bot or you can email customer support. They will take unauthorized payments out of your account then refuse to return the money because “they don’t do refunds” …. 0/10 … don’t waste your money. Seriously, don’t.

Ipsy customer service is amazing. They stand behind their service and take steps to make sure deliveries are right. Some people say they don't like the selection and I don't always like what is included in the subscription box, but that is the point of trying new things. Every order that I've placed for product has been accurate and shipped quickly.

Mascara is dried out, only enough lip gloss for 3 times usage.. I immediately cancelled subscription. I can visit retail stores and get free samples, because that is wha They sent. The best item is the bag

IPSY Team,
I’m not a big fan of only being able to contact support through email, however, I truly appreciate the consistent follow-up you’ve always provided on my requests. I really value and recognize that.
This time, I worked with two agents — Je and Ken — and they were quick, kind, empathetic, and professional while handling my case. 100% extraordinary! Thank you both! IPSY is very fortunate to have you on the team.

Avoid this company. All the items you receive are samples you would get for free at like Sephora. You put in all of your preferences, but they never acknowledge them. Also, in December, I paid for my monthly subscription, and also canceled my ultimate subscription, which is only quarterly, but kept my extra box. They charged me and then said both boxes were canceled although the company would continue to send me emails to select the items for my extra box. If you reach out to them, you talk to a bot you never get a response if you send an email. I sent an email December 1 of this problem and here I am three days later with no response from them. If you enter the Chatbot, it will generate multiple tickets for your issue and tell you they don’t give you a refund. Just take it up with your credit card company and save yourself the headache of dealing with this company.

This company has gone downhill since I last used them. I cannot believe how scammy their practices are. I was playing a game and saw an ad that they offered their bag for $4. I clicked it and signed into my old account and took the quiz. It then asked if I want to continue - no where did it say that a charge would be finalized nor did it show the amount so I thought if I clicked continue it would show it on the next page - nope! All of a sudden it was like the purchase was made and it still didn't even tell me the amount. It had been so long since I used them (over 5 years), I didn't even think they had a card on file but I guess they still had my paypal and I got a notification that I was charged $36!!!
I immediately tried to cancel it but couldn't get the bot to cancel it and it also wouldn't patch me through to a human. I am now waiting and hoping that they respond to my ticket and give me my refund.

This company/service is a SCAM! I ordered in November after doing questionnaire. I got makeup that should be in a 10 year old first play makeup! I immediately cancelled and guess what?????They sent one shipment after Thanksgiving and then processed another one to ship for December even though I cancelled it and have email showing I did .

I personally don't have enough money to pay for ipsy every month, so when I saw they were having a buy one get one free I figured I could treat myself for one month and get two bags. I subscribed and made a note to unsubscribe on the 25th to not get charged for next month. According to policy, if I canceled my subscription before my package shipped, my free gift would be removed, but I wasn't too worried cause I thought it would be shipped before the cancellation date. It was not. I cancelled my subscription and only got one bag, and the day afterwards they finally shipped my package. I honestly think this is a sad thing to do, and I will probably never purchase again.

I have cancelled this service 3 TIMES over the last 3 months and they just charged my card AGAIN. They have no customer service number and no customer service email. You have to speak to a chat bot that's as useless as the contents of my cat's litterbox. These people are THIEVES. I'm going to have to cancel my debit card so they'll stop charging me and fight with the bank to get my money back. I HATE THIS COMPANY.

Reply from IPSY
They have stolen my money. No movement on my order since label was created Nov 7. No one will get back to me. Completely ignored. As everyone knows charge backs aren't that easy to do. It looks like I am left no choice. After they get your money, they do not care. Scammers and liars!

They were amazing and helped me with all my issues and fixed everything asap thank you

I have loved my Ipsy boxes. I always get more than what I am expecting and the brands they have curated are phenomenal!
Whenever I have had any issues or concerned the Ipsy team is right there to handle each concern of mine. They have been so kind and informative. You can tell that they actually care about their community and will go above and beyond for them. Ipster for life here!
