Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 125 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people found the platform frustrating and riddled with glitches, leading to a terrible user experience. The pricing model was consistently described as expensive and a money drain, with many feeling they were being nickel-and-dimed through constant credit purchases. This led to a perception of poor value for money, as credits often ran out quickly. Customers also frequently reported issues with the product's output, such as low-quality or unusable videos that often did not follow prompts. Many experienced problems with voice-overs being unclear or out of sync, and the platform often failed to deliver expected results. Furthermore, many users felt misled by the subscription terms, encountering a lack of transparency regarding credit usage and strict no-refund policies.

Total waste of money

Total waste of money. Purchased a $20 subscription to try it out for a single 10 second “attract screen” video I needed for an event photobooth.

I came upon their tool via ChatGPT, with whom they have an integration. I took a very detailed prompt I built with ChatGPT and fed it into their system. The result was mediocre, and worst of all, it was a horizontal video despite me specifying a vertical output. So I spent another round of tokens making a vertical video, only to receive another mediocre result that missed some critical prompt items. I attempted to use their feedback tool to edit the video, spending the remaining tokens in two more rounds of generation, and ended up with a video that was worse than the original.

I then took the same exact prompt to Google Flow, on a $7/month trial, and it one-shotted exactly what I needed. Not wonky that, but I was given 10x the tokens for that price and was able to generate other versions, edit, and tweak — and I still have enough to do 2-3 more complete rounds.

So I emailed invideo’s support seeking a refund given the poor experience. After arguing with AI support bots, a human finally responded and said it is against their ToS to provide ANY refund if you have used any amount of tokens. Sure enough, that is the language in their ToS, plain as day.

Shame on me for not reading that in full, but I had a deadline to meet. Shame on them for building a terrible and overpriced product. Google will shake them out for their lunch money and whatever tokens they have to spare. Total waste of my time.

Not highly recommended

The service here is slightly better than the website I previously subscribed to; however, the credits are consumed far too quickly. Since the generated videos aren't perfect right off the bat—often requiring multiple rendering attempts—my funds were depleted in no time. Of course, if you have a generous budget, feel free to disregard what I just said.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Wanted a 4.5 minute music video, subscribed for a monthly £15+ subscription because on generating (what I thought would be a free taster) it said I only had 1.3 credits and need another 21.8 credits to produce the work. So the subscription gave me 75 credits, take away the 21.8 credits to finish I’ll still have 53.2 for a future project.

Then after another wait I got another message to say the credits are out and it needs another 26.4 credits. I asked why, multiple render attempts because they couldn’t change a colour to black and white in the video…it had used ALL my 75 credits WITHOUT my consent and STILL hadn’t finished.

It couldn’t tell me how much it would take in total and WORSE still when I demanded to see what it had produced it showed me TWO identical 12 second clips that DIDN’T meet the spec!!! When I complained it was suggested I PAY MORE and they’d produce a SHORTER clip to reduce errors!!!

They repeat the same AI responses and refuse refunds just demanding more money to finish what it already failed to do and with the assumption of an unlimited budget!

Will be contacting my card provider for a charge back!

I blew through $20 very quickly and…

I blew through $20 very quickly and didn't get anything close to a quality product. I was looking for a simple 1 minute video and this did not even come close. No chance I'm going to risk $100 for an upgrade. The interface for setup was nice but the final product was very poor.

I started with a basic plan. Just wanted to create one video for my daughter. Had to buy extra credits and still not enough credits to finish the video. Feel like I’m being robbed. But upset to lose an important video I wanted to do for my daughter.

Consider other providers - Issues and poor quality

Initially paid (5/14/2026) for the most basic service ($20) to test the quality to produce an AI generated marketing video for my business. Through the video generating process, I was required to purchase more "credits" apparently due to sync and other technical issues. Unfortunately, after the last "upgrade" requirement (more money), I contacted support and raised concern about my paying more money for technical issues the service was having (sync, video, etc.). I was advised that the issue was sent to the tech team and it would be worked on. Almost a day later, and after my follow-up, I was advised that I could log back in and resume the video. Again, there were the same sync and video issues. I asked the chat support representative(s) that I had been communicating with via chat and email, to simply cancel the account and process a refund because the service never worked in the less than 48-hours I was attempting to use it. I was told that the recurring subscription would be canceled but a refund was impossible due to the AI platform credit use. I was also told that they would continue to "help" with the initial TEST video if I desired. In short, this platform appears to need a lot more infrastructure work before charging people and being unwilling to refund monies. I suggest that anyone considering this platform to consider other options. I have now paid $174.58 for nothing.

FRAUD!

the platform relies on the following immoral business practices:
Bait-and-switch — attracting users with one expectation, then changing the terms later
Dark pattern — UX designed to steer or pressure users into paying/signing up
Freemium upsell — offering partial functionality free, then charging for completion
Paywall after investment — when users invest time/work before discovering key limits
Lead generation funnel — collecting signups before revealing practical restrictions

its a scam

its a scam. Ive wanted to make an simple explenation video of not more then a minute with very simple images. I paid 20 dollar and then it said i needed to pay extra because the credits were out. I allready find it strange because it was such an simple video but because I already spent 20 I thought I spent 25 more so I at least have a video. Then it said my credits were out again and I needed to buy more. So i paid 45 dollar and still have no video!! also they don't have a customer service or any way to reach out. So please don't waste youre money!!!!!!!

Requesting a refund

I'm frustrated. My experience with Invideo took less than an hour. I chose the Plus plan. The system generated an amateur video for me, with a mix of English and French dialogue and generic visuals. When I tried to make adjustments, the system asked me to upgrade because I had used up my monthly credits.
I paid for a monthly subscription but was unable to generate a single usable video due to technical issues and confusing interface. Please refund my payment.
So I just canceled my subscription and put this bad experience behind me. Avoid this service.

Very poor experience.

Very poor experience.

The platform generated outputs I did not request and repeatedly failed to produce usable videos, yet still consumed my credits. This effectively made the service unusable while still charging for it.

What’s more concerning is how this is handled. Support is fully automated and incapable of addressing anything beyond repeating policy statements. There is no real escalation path, no human review, and no accountability when the system fails.

The “no refund after usage” policy is applied blindly, even when the usage results from system errors or incorrect outputs. That is not a fair or reasonable standard.

If you are considering this platform, be aware:

* You may be charged for outputs you didn’t ask for
* Failed generations can still consume credits
* There is no effective support if something goes wrong

Overall, this is not a reliable service, and the lack of proper support makes the situation worse.

Expensive, glitchy, and frustrating to use

I wanted to like InVideo, but the experience was extremely disappointing.

The biggest issue is the pricing model. You get charged credits every time you generate or regenerate a video — even if it fails or gets stuck. I had a render freeze at 5% for over 10 minutes, and the credits were still deducted. That alone is unacceptable.

The output quality was also underwhelming. After spending around $20 in credits, I ended up with a few very basic 7-second videos that were not usable for anything serious. Editing is limited unless you regenerate again, which means spending even more credits.

The platform itself is confusing. There are multiple modes (Agents, Video, Studio), and it’s not always clear where your projects are or how to actually finish them. This leads to wasted time and accidental credit usage.

Overall, it feels like you’re paying for attempts rather than results. For a tool that markets itself as fast and easy AI video creation, the friction and cost make it hard to justify.

I would not recommend it in its current state.

Subscribed to InVideo Plus as a beginner

Subscribed to InVideo Plus as a first-time user. All credits were consumed by Agent One during the setup process before a single complete video was delivered. Support refused a refund and offered only 20 credits as resolution. Extremely misleading onboarding experience for a new subscriber. Was never informed credits are consumed during intermediate steps. Would not recommend to beginners."

1 star is too much.

1 star is too much.
Customer service is effectively non-existent. The AI chatbox is useless, and trying to reach a human takes far too long. As a paying customer, this level of support is unacceptable.
