Pregnant

I'm currently pregnant with some health complications. I have reached out for help and advice, but am just being put off because it doesn't work with their schedules. I'm not dying, yet, so it's ok for me to be miserable. I wish I had other healthcare options on my insurance plan because then I could be done with Intermountain.

My mom was admitted to the Emergency…

My mom was admitted to the Emergency Room due to severe chest pain. It took just over 4.5 hours of her being there before she was administered oxygen. My sister kept texting me her vital signs and her oxygen levels consistently dropped below 90% and even under 85%. I was concerned and told them to get the nurse. Multiple times my siblings asked the nurses and the doctor about her oxygen levels and they were told she was fine they just have temperamental oxygen sensors. Really? In the ED you can’t afford decent oxygen sensors? Eventually after the nagging from my siblings they tried 3 different sensors and they were all reading low for them t admit maybe she needed oxygen. My mom’s fingertips were a bluish purple color!! Come on Logan Regional! Get your act together!! My sister who is a nurse tried to get help and was brushed off. Not good!!

I have gotten annoyed everytime i have…

I have gotten annoyed everytime i have to go to this hospital. Doesn't matter if it's a instacare or hosptial. The customer service is so frustrating, Everytime i call, i am being lectured and so far i was told that i can't do financial aid because i have insurance and even though i almost died i was being treated that i was a criminal because i couldn't pay a bill on time. I had to not pay other bills so they would leave me alone. I will never go another hospital or Instacare ever again. Rather die than deal with the lectures and basically told that i am nothing and just want my money.

All the Comforts of home

It was great to be able to cuddle up with a blanket in my own living room instead of going out in the cold just to get a doctor's opinion. I've have always felt like it was better back when doctors would make house visits. you wouldn't end up dragging the whole family sometimes into a waiting room full of sick people. Because you couldn't find a babysitter. having doctor visits over the internet I feel is awesome

I'm not sure how connect care is usual…

I'm not sure how connect care is useful at all, simply because if you actually need anything, you'll have to go in to be seen by a doctor to get any treatment. I've tried to use connect care twice...once when I was already being treated for bronchitis and couldn't stop coughing...I was hoping to get an Rx for cough syrup with codeine...but they can't even prescribe that because it's a controlled substance. The other time I was hoping to get an order for a Vit. D and iron level because I was extremely tired and my doctor hadn't gotten back to me after a couple weeks...so I thought this would be a simple way to get the order. They can't order labs either. I'm just honestly not sure what they'd be able to do for anyone unless it's to prescribe some ointment for eczema or some other rash. Connect Care is a good thought...but restrictions seem to render it useless.

The doctor let me know what medications…

The doctor let me know what medications I could take, but she gave me so many and never actually said which ones to take. I wasn't feeling good and the doctor sort of listened to my explanation and didn't spend a lot of time with me.

We love Connect Your Care

I love being able to call in and have my issue evaluated. It's not fun waiting for an appointment time when you're sick. This gave us immediate attention. I have recommended it to 3 different family members in the past month, even those that live out of state!

It was a short wait.

It was quick and easy, mine was a short wait for a doctor.
It took much less time than going to a doctors office and waiting to see one.

So convenient

So convenient! I was grateful that I didn’t have to leave my four kids with a sitter and go to instacare when I didn’t feel well. It worked well and I was given the help I needed.

Connect Care was very easy to use

Connect Care was very easy to use. I was able to speak with a doctor in a decent amount of time and get the prescription I needed sent over to my local pharmacy. Connect Care was half of the price of a normal visit to my doctor's office.
