These people are literally evil

These people are literally evil. I called them with my insurance info and made an appointment with a new primary care physician that I waited a month for. This is to follow up with an ER visit where I had horrific gut issues and they found spots on my lungs. I also have cardiac arrythmias and fatigue, and feel like my days are numbered. I finally get to my appointment only to be told they made a mistake and would not take my insurance. I asked for advise and was told to call the number on the back of my insurance card. This is when I got really upset, I raised my voice and used some choice words I should not have, but did not direct it at anyone, just frustrated with the situation. Their supervisor was a horrible woman who showed no empathy for me whatsoever, her attitude was literally disgusting. I told her she had no idea how big of a deal this was and how much you are harming me, and she said she did, but it was hollow, as she had NO IDEA what I was there for or what I was going through. I was told I needed to leave, which I did immediately. These people have no idea how much harm they have caused me. It was their own mistake and they admitted it, but still would not provide the care they promised unless I paid for it myself. The lack of empathy was so disturbing and horrible I have no words for it, it is impossible to convey how much disgust and hatred I have towards these people right now.

If I can avoid Intermountain, I do.

If I can avoid Intermountain, I do. Since our local hospital changed over to Intermountain Healthcare, within a week of having services completed with them, they will contact you every day until you are on a payment plan with them. If you have more than one bill? It doesn’t get rolled into one account—they expect multiple payment plans to cover all. If you don’t get in touch with them within a week of your service (because you’re at work when they call), they threaten to send you to collections. It is apparent that this company does not care about healthcare or helping people make realistic payments for medical bills. They are for profit. Period.

I Love My Dr.

I love my Doc. So I’m going to stay as long as I can stand all the bad that is intermountain health. Their billing is so late and comes in little bits at a time. I often try to wait so I can see if anything else is going to pop up. Don’t wait too long though, or they’ll be contacting you. I swear, the day after I pay my bill, they send one from some other part of the country. The worst one was a bill from 11 months prior.. I don’t go to the doctor very much, but it’s time to go back before I’ve even seen last years bill. Also, if you’re waiting for some specialist to call and make an appointment, sit tight it’ll be a long wait. Don’t call them, they have to call you.

Their billing and payment system is…

Their billing and payment system is totally FUBAR. It's almost impossible to get a straight answer out of them. You can't get information online, over the phone, or in person. Very frustrating regardless of how you try to do it and I was trying to pay a bill.

Inaccurate medical charts.

I went in to grab a copy of my 2023 ER visit for abdominal pain. My chart says I drink alcohol, 7 days a week over 8 oz of liquor a day...I am very proud for being 10yrs Sober. Its not easy having combat experience and remain sober. How insulting not to mention inaccurate health data.

I am embarrassed to say I work for this…

I am embarrassed to say I work for this company. I watched them treat patients like crap. Billing went after my 16 year old step daughter for a crash she was the victim in and instead of going after the one at fault they put a lien out on her! Sent certified mail for her to sign. 1) illegal as she is a minor 2) she has nothing so it would in turn go after her families vehicles and such. And when you call you get sent on a wild goose chase and no answers.

Again super embarrassed for this company and I sincerely apologize to patients and family of patients for this companies very incompetent behavior. (It comes from the top of the company as a lower caregiver it sucks on the inside too. The pay is low and thats if you get paid. I went one month no pay. Heard every excuse in the book. The payroll is not up to date on how to do a payroll efficiently. They add extra steps to confuse their employees on kronos under excuse of colorado law standards when the other version met Colorado standards its just another way to screw even their staff. They are greedy.

Stroke patients get forgotten or ignored (my grandma one of those who went 24 hours before they even entertained the idea of a stroke told us it was just a seizureand left her to become infantile, another sat for 4 days wothout a nurse checking in on them) I do what I can to stop this from happening to any other person!

Again to go after a kid is wrong and they should be ashamed of themselves. Companies like this is what is wrong with the world today.

Worst billing system I've ever seen

Worst billing system I've ever seen. Website doens't work. Can almost never get through via telephone. Finally did and could barely hear the rep because of a poor connection. Confusing and unhelpful.

An appointment for a ct scan was made

An appointment for a ct scan was made. On the way to the appointment they called and said they didn't take my insurance so I had to make other arrangements. It took over an hour to set up another appointment for a week later. Who ever set the appointment need to be educated also they did not tell me I had to fast for 4 hours prior to the appointment. I should of been notified before not an hour before. Since I live out in stockton it takes any hour to get there and I already on my way, Very inconvenient

Trust the nearly 100% NEGATIVE REVIEWS…

Trust the nearly 100% NEGATIVE REVIEWS of this God-forsaken place. I broke my arm in Deer Valley, Utah, Uber-ed myself to this place in unspeakable pain and had to wait in line to PAY before being seen by a "wanna-be-doctor" (She was a "PA": physician's assistant) who finally took an X-ray, found that it was indeed BROKEN, put me in a $20 splint that I was charged $180 for, and sent me on my way without ANY pain meds because they DON'T PRESCRIBE PAIN MEDS at this place. I was told, "Take some Tylenol when you get back to your condo and follow up with your ortho when you get home" (in FIVE days!) so that was fun. I am STILL getting bills 10 months later...for what?? 'adjustments' to the bill. Thank you very little, "Intermountain ADVERSEhealth".
Avoid this place like the plague.

Religion Based Healthcare

Please be aware that this organization is religion based, If I had known that I never would have gone here. They do not listen to you, they are robots following protocols and there is no human element to their profit driven care. If you are looking for people who care about you and your health, I would avoid this place.

Trying to get a billing issue resolved

Trying to get a billing issue resolved. They refused to fix it. I have never talked to someone so cold as the person I spoke to yesterday. She was angry I even asked questions. This problem I had reviewed cost me $2300, instead of none if they had billed it correctly. Do not expect any help from them regardless of your medical condition.

Can’t schedule properly

I scheduled 2 weeks in advanced an MRI with sedation. I come in at 6:15am only to find out it’s not scheduled. They canceled it when they called a number I NEVER gave them to confirm. They are irresponsible, have horrible records and waste your time. I will never work with them if I can help it

Unbelievably Incompetent

I have tried 6 times now within the last few months to receive an itemized bill. They have billed me for the same date of service and services, but listed separate providers that I am not familiar with. They then sent one of them to collections, but not the other? And I cannot anyone on the phone or to reply via email. I've tried billing and the doctor's office the bill came from. Nothing. I'm at a total loss.

THE WORST COMPANY

This is the worst company and customer service I have ever experiences. We have called 7 times since November to resolve a bill and it is still not resolved. Everytime it is a different answer and no one seems to know what is even going on. We actually just called and someone picked up and did not say a word for 5 minutes! I am at my wits end....

One hundred percent, the worst billing department.

The worst billing department and customer service I have ever dealt with in my whole life. I've been going back and forth with my billing issue since April of 2023. And it's still not resolved. Each time I call these incompetent people, all I get is different excuses and no helpful assistance to resolve my problem. Over one year, that's freaking ridiculous and inexcusable customer service. Avoid this hospital at all cost.

Fake doctors!

Physicians assist King passes herself off as a doctor. I moved from out of state trying to get my medications refilled. She cannot prescribe controlled substances which my documented injury requires for pain relief. I didn’t know she wasn't a doctor, I addressed her as doctor several times. Without being corrected. She put in my chart I was addicted to the medication. Which caused me problems getting my medication. I hadn't had any medication for 3 months! But I was an addict! She is on a power trip. I decided I had enough and fired her! I got x-rays and a CT scan which verified my back injury. By 3 real doctors and presribed the medication she said I was addicted to! After wasting 4 months of my time and money with all kinds of unnecessary tests to pad the insurance bill. She should not be in the medical field. In the room waiting for her valuable advice. A sign read, "People should trust doctors more than the internet". She lied to my face several times. Trust is the currency of the medical profession. She hurts patients by her own personal beliefs. That anyone who needs narcotics for herniated disks with arthritis are degenerate drug addicts. Stay away from her, ask for a real doctor!!!!

Don’t bother with Intermountain care because they don’t CARE!!

If I could give a minus on this review I would. I have been seeing my Doctor for over 15 years. I stayed faithful when he moved from practice to practice, but his move to Intermountain health was the final straw. I had to wait over 6 months to see him the first time and now it is a minimum of 3 months. I had an appointment that I had made 3 months ago. I had to get results of several tests and most importantly the results from a sleep apnea test. After waiting for over 45 minutes, I went back up and was told by the receptionist that they would reschedule me because he was just too busy to see me. She then proceeded to tell me it would take 3 months before he could see me again. After being told he was too busy to see me even though I had made this appointment 3 months ago, I walked out. I have been looking for a new primary care doctor ever since. I ABSOLUTELY refuse to go to any doctor or practice that had anything to do with Intermountain care.

They damaged the artery on my right leg…

They damaged the artery on my right leg when they performed an ablation in August of 2023. They entered near my groin but the damage is closer to my knee, nowhere near the point of insertion of the catheter.

They never took accountability for what they did. At first, they claimed that the pain was normal. Nine months later and the pain is still there.

On another matter, they have a physician assistant. I do not know if I can use names, so I will use initials. His are A.H. He is argumentative, arrogant, obnoxious, and racist. When I told him of recent heart symptoms, he dismissed it “ Its probably not your heart.” Other patients have complained about the same thing.

A.H. Claimed that I had a blockage of my arteries due to his reading of my MRI results. I had an angiogram and it showed that I have no blockage.

I currently see a cardiologist. He reminds me of a bad mechanic. He guesses at the symptoms and prescribes a fix. After our last visit he claimed that someone would call to schedule our next Zoom appointment. That was one month ago. No one has ever called me.

I can go on and on.
