AVOID

Avoid this company if you’re looking for an actual intensive driving course.

I paid £2,000 upfront for what was sold as an intensive course. What I got was 1–2 lessons a week spread over months. That’s not intensive by any stretch of the imagination, and it’s ironic considering their own website says that 1–2 lessons a week isn’t an intensive course.

I was told I’d been given the instructor who “trains their instructors”, which filled me with confidence at the time. Looking back, it just makes me question the standard across the whole company.

Communication was a joke. Lessons regularly started late, there were frequent holidays, and whenever something went wrong, the blame was pushed onto me instead of the company taking any responsibility. When my mum contacted them to complain, instead of addressing the fact that the course wasn’t being delivered as advertised, they argued with her and claimed it was all my fault. I was repeatedly told there wasn’t enough availability for more than one lesson a week, so why advertise and charge people for an intensive course in the first place?

The most frustrating part is that they completely ignored the real issue every single time we raised it. They just kept repeating how many hours I’d had and hiding behind a “no refunds” policy, even refusing to refund the hours of lessons I hadn’t even used.

In the end I’d had enough. I changed instructors, and within a few weeks I passed my driving test.

Funny how quite a few people share the same experience as me and I’ve been told In the driving instructor world they are known as “scammers”

Avoid - Poor Service In Every Regard

Awful service. Paid upfront for 40 hours on the agreement that I would complete the course over approximately 5 months, I was promised prior to paying that I could have 2 lessons a week. 14 months later I had only received 28 lessons due to no fault of my own, and when I requested a refund I was denied. When i requested a different instructor with more availability I was denied. When I repeatedly asked for lessons at a higher frequency I was denied. Intensive Driving took zero accountability for their lack of availability and rather chose to flat out lie to me by telling me they never promised me 2 lessons a week. On many occasions lessons were cancelled at very short notice. On many occasions my instructor turned up late without an apology. On many occasions my instructor was unpleasant to share a car with, was non-conversational, rude, and unnecessarily harsh in his feedback which was way more critical than it needed to be. My experience was poor from the start and I have made repeated attempts to get what I was originally promised or a refund to no avail. Due to the large gaps of time between lessons I did not retain what I was learning and had to repeatedly recap what I had done in previous lessons which was a massive waste of my time and money. My instructor did not seem to understand that the reason I was learning slowly was down to his lack of availability and slow frequency of lessons, and would instead choose to berate me and insinuate I was stupid during lessons. Absolutely awful company. Avoid at all costs. They do not care about their students. I should also add that my instructor is a majority shareholder of the company. Extremely disappointing.

Lied and gaslit my son

Did not deliver the promised service to my son and will not refund him for unused lessons.
He paid for an intensive driving course in full and upfront (hoping to complete and pass test within 5-6 months), they took his money and 18 months later he has only had just over half of the 40 hours of lessons that he paid for. They are refusing to accept any liability and placing the blame on him for not having availability to do his lessons when the truth is that the instructor allocated to him was only available on weekdays between 10am and 2pm! Why allocate an instructor that does not have enough availability to fit around someone's working hours? My son managed to finally arrange a set day of the week off work with his boss so that he could have his lessons but he has further been messed around with pathetic excuses of "oh the car is in for repair", oh I have to take a different student for their test". Excuses after excuses and often with very late notice of cancellation of the lessons.
My son has sent in an official complaint asking for a refund of unused lessons, further theory test fee (as will have to complete this again as the 2 year time frame is nearly up) and compensation for the abhorrent service he has received.
The Office Manager for Intensive Driving uk has sent a response which disputes any of the facts in my son's complaint (I get it, no company wants to hold their hands up and admit they are at fault) and even lied to say my son agreed (apparently in writing) to wait for the Instructor to return from sick leave to resume his lessons. Why would my son agree to this when he has been trying to get a refund from them for over a year? This is the third time he has requested a refund and been refused. DO NOT PAY UPFRONT TO THIS COMPANY! Beware of their shady business practices!
