The mafia of insurance companies!

Intact auto insurance are nothing other than cons. They take your money but when you put in a claim, they ignore you like you don’t exist and you never see a red penny. So for people who like to dish out money, get ignored, and never get a claim fulfilled this is the insurance company for you.

The worst organization I have ever…

The worst organization I have ever seen…
The worst organization I have ever seen and dealt with.
No one there knows what they're doing, they have no sense of urgency, they can't change the simplest of things on file (address change, spousal changes etc), and after digging further, I found that most of their staff there hate their jobs and management.
USELESS!

Intact Incompetence

Initiated an insurance claim with Intact on January 11th. Car towed to repair shop on January 13th. It is now January 29th. No appraiser assigned to my file so no authorization to commence work on my vehicle. Adjuster is overwhelmed with lack of response action from third party Snapsheet who reviews claim against repair estimate prior to handing file back to Intact Appraiser. I don’t understand how a simple process can be so convoluted and take so long. Oh yeah, adjuster refuses to let me speak to her supervisor and lectured me on “not following the process.”

Intact Commercial? Why bother?

Intact commercial insurance is complete chaos. Had Intact for ten years, and for multiple properties. No claim ever filed. Paid over $130,000 in insurance. Had a one time extreme weather damage and consulted broker, Broker said we were covered and should file a claim. Broker told them a claim was coming. Before any claim details, photos, or paperwork was even attempted, Intact says nope we don't cover you for that. We specifically had insurance for such events. No one had even talked to us, but somehow Intact saw fit to send some random guy to crawl on top our building with no permission, and take random pictures of non related items and submitted them in place of our eventual claim. Our claim was going to be for around $4,000 of damage to commercial retail product inside the structure, Keep in mind we protect very well our product, and never once filed a claim. Obstinate, rude, and logically challenged in all of their communications. I decided to cancel everything I had with them, and moved on. We were the commercial client that every Insurance Company would love to have, since we take care of everything ourselves and never file claims needlessly. Now Intact, will suffer a small drop in revenue for them, but one drop at a time, they'll lose more and more customers. A mathematically challenged organization.

Goodbye, Intact!

I got auto insurance with Intact through a broker. I followed all the rules and directives I was given by the broker, ie. provide proof of driver's license within 2 months (I moved from another province).

I was still within the 2 month limit when out of nowhere, I got an official letter via registered mail that my auto insurance policy was cancelled. No other insurance company has ever cancelled me! To say I was upset and baffled is an understatement. I received the letter on a Friday evening and had no choice but to immediately jump into action so I wouldn't be driving without coverage. I got a new broker and new auto insurance policy over the weekend.

On Monday morning, I called the Intact broker to ask what had happened and why Intact was cancelling my coverage. He said it was just a standard letter they send. He actually thought I would stay with the company after being blindsided and having my weekend ruined. I told him, "Too bad, I'm not staying. I am cancelling Intact, not the other way around".

Later that day I got the new driver's license. Intact's bad business practice cost them a customer for life. In the end, it worked in my favour because the new company is way cheaper for the same coverage.

Avoid these scammers

Avoid this company. They're really scammers. the insurance cost for my car was about $550/month which already was way much more than the other companies and they increased it to $860 because I changed the address to my new place which is very close to the previous address. When I asked them to cancel the insurance, they charged me over $1000 for the cancelation fee. That's really unbelievable and I haven't seen such a fraud in my entire life.

THE WORST CROOKS

THE WORST CROOKS. GO ELSEWHERE. I was rammed in January 2022. We are in October 2022 and they delay, refuse to pay and use every dirty trick in the book to try to force me to accept an insufficient amount. YOU ARE NOT INSURED WITH INTACT.

Intact insurance lying theeving crooks

intact insurance claims adjusters lyed to me for over two months , telling me not to worry that my boat and trailer were covered , on the third month intacts claims manager called me to tell me that the would not cover my boat and offered me less than half the amount of what my trailer was worth , they do not return calls for many weeks or now months , the are very dishonest to their costomers , they do not car about their costomers , the worst insurance company to deal with , !!!!!!!!!!!!!! WARNING !!!!!!!!!!!If you are insured with Intact insurance ........... chang to another insurance company

Despicable Service

Today is July 3rd 2022. I have a vehicle claim that started back in January 2022 and has been nothing but a headache since. Claims advisor has not once contacted us even though Intact has told me on several occasions that she would. I have reached out many times to her by email and phone messages and have still heard nothing. Our rental car needed to be extended due to the delay from Intact in getting our vehicle repaired. 3 months later we find out the rental car hadn't been fully paid for by Intact and was therefore put on MY CREDIT CARD. Over, the now 5 months since my initial claim I have called Intact directly many many times. Each time being reassured it was being taken care of and that someone would contact me in a couple of days. Yet I still have not heard from anyone and the bill has not been taken care of. I have asked each time I've called, to speak to a supervisor but each time they refuse to put me through to a supervisor due to "proper protocols" needing to be followed.
This kind of service is despicable especially with the amount we pay for insurance. They owe me over $900.00 from an unpaid rental car bill. What do we pay a deductible for if we are the ones doing all the leg work...for 5 months?!

6 weeks and still waiting...

My son bought a SUV and insured it with Intact through PC broker. Five months later a tree fell on his car. It took 5 days for him to receive a response from Intact. This is a recurring theme, Intact often waits 5 days before responding to his emails, and he has never been able to get a human on the phone. The mechanic told him it would be repaired so he left some personal items that he didn't need right away in the vehicle. A month later, Intact confirmed it would be repaired. They then had the car transferred to another chain of the mechanic an hour away to be repaired because the local mechanic was backlogged. This new mechanic found another $500 damage, so now Intact won't be fixing it. They're going to write it off. Now my son, who hasn't had a vehicle for 6 weeks, (and hasn't been looking for one because his was supposed to be fixed), is supposed to find a ride an hour away to get his stuff out of the car. They also only offered him what he owes on the car, not what it will cost to replace it, which would leave him without a down payment for a new car. Why say you'll fix it, haul it an hour away, then change your mind for $500 extra? And why wouldn't you pay him the market value? Now he has to search online for identical vehicles to show them what the car is actually worth to replace! It's been 6 weeks! Either fix it, or give him what it's worth!
My other son and I were both considering switching our policies, but that isn't happening now! I'd rather pay an extra $10 a month and have an insurance company that cares!

After 20+ years with Intact I am…

After 20+ years with Intact I am changing my insurer. Catalytic converted was cut off my vehicle by theif. Intact first tried to tow my car to an auction. When I insisted service be performed at my dealer Intact was hesitant and refused to send appraiser. Dealership stepped up and provided necessary photos. Intact would only authorize dealership to install an OEM part and suggested they weld pipe where connectors were cut. Over a month later and still no resolution

We had a driver cross a solid line and…

We had a driver cross a solid line and hit us in a road rage incident. the other driver was following somone and that is why he was pissed he did not get let in. we both had intact insurance and they had their business, home and auto through intact. in the end the so called witness lied and said we crossed the line. we thought the picture would prove who crossed but apparently physical evidence does not surmount friends who lie for friends and intact will not even consider our photos... so it seems that intact decided it was better to keep the higher paying customer than us and we are now paying for someone else hitting us. NEVER GO THROUGH INTACT THEY ARE ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. They have an app and I submitted a claim. I got confirmation that a claim was opened, but it didn't show up in the app and the website has technical difficulties. Their phone support forwarded me to three people and they couldn't help. This is a fake insurance.

AVOID INTACT AT ALL COST

THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY, AVOID AT ALL COST AND SAVE YOUR MONEY. GO TO NUERA INSTEAD. WE HAD FILED A CLAIM 3 MONTHS AGO BUT NO ONE CAME BACK TO US, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID SHE WOULD LOOK INTO IT AND CALL ME BACK AND IT HAS BEEN THREE MONTHS. PEOPLE WHO WORK HERE ARE USELESS, THEY KNOW HOW TO PROMISE AND SAY THAT EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT AND THEY WILL GHOST YOU. HEARTLESS PEOPLE MAN.

The worst insurance company

The worst insurance company! Got in an accident in Sept 2020 & till now Jan 2021 we have not been paid for the car. Told us our car is fixable based on pictures the garage sent when 2 garages said it was a write off. Finally in December they sent someone to the garage to see the car and he said it was a write off. claims process with intact is a nightmare!

The adjuster never gets back to you! When I call back to customer service to see why she hasn’t called, I get told she wrote a note saying she called!🤦🏻‍♀️ Why are you working if you don’t want to work.

They are soooo cheap to wait till Boxing Day (from sept to end of Nov) to pay for the sale price of car seats we have. Like wow seriously. Of course I had to fight it to get the difference. They won’t pay the taxes either on the car seats! Unbelievably cheap

All this & we are not at fault, hit from behind! I will never deal with them again.

be careful when dealing with intact insurance

I got motorcycle insurance from intact insurance 2 years ago i didn't have class 6 licence at the time and i was given a few months to get it, i took the test but ended up failing it, so the next year when it came to renew i still didn't have my class 6 licence so i called my agent to ask if i can renew even though i didn't have my licence, i got no reply, they called asking if i wanted to renew, i was too busy with work so i decided to not renew for the year but i didn't get around to call intact insurance to cancel, i just assumed since i didn't renew they would just cancel my policy no one contacted me after, so this year i was looking to change my auto insurance and found out that intact insurance ended up putting a 'no payment' clause on my record and had charged me for three months without telling me, i ended up paying those three months and explained my situation to a customer service rep from intact insurance but she didn't didn't see it as a miss understanding and said she would not remove the 'no payment' from my file. In hindsight i should have just renewed the insurance but i was being honest and got screwed in the end, and i had auto insurance with intact for twenty years without any problems. don't get fooled by their commercials they're just a greedy insurance company.
