CLOTHING LEAKING DYE

FORMAL COMPLAINT – SERIOUS QUALITY CONTROL FAILURE
I purchased 2 jackets and 3 shirts from Extreme Collection under order #4700 (8V4PLOUYU) for a total of €1,908.
One of the jackets, the La Spezia Black Soutache Military Blazer – Limited Edition, released dye during normal wear. The dye transferred onto and stained my Dior Saddle light-coloured leather bag.
After initially ignoring my emails, Extreme Collection responded after I referred to my EU consumer rights. They requested that I send the jacket for inspection and stated that my Dior leather bag would also need to be inspected in their laboratory.
I requested a basic and directly relevant investigation: testing the dark polyester material used in their garments for dye leakage/colour transfer (colourfastness). This is particularly important because another jacket I purchased is made from the same dark polyester material.
Extreme Collection stated that they cannot perform a dye-leakage test on the materials used in their own garments and refused to conduct the requested material testing.
At the same time, the company stated that my leather bag should be inspected in their laboratory, despite Extreme Collection being a clothing company and not a manufacturer or seller of leather goods.
This raises a fundamental question: if the company claims it cannot test the colourfastness of the material used in its own garments, on what basis is it proposing to conduct a laboratory inspection of a leather product that it does not manufacture or sell?
The relevant issue is the garment and the dye that transferred from it. The company has refused to test the material responsible for the damage while proposing laboratory examination of the item that was damaged.
I paid €1,908 for these products. I consider the dye transfer, the refusal to investigate the garment material, and the company's proposed handling of the damaged item to represent a serious quality-control and consumer-protection concern.
DO NOT BUY from Extreme Collection.
