no order and time wasted


I ordered a hard bass case here through eBay, the product was supposed to arrive on 12/17 at the pick up point. 20.12 I wrote to the seller asking why my product is marked as delivered if I still haven't received the collection code.

The seller Dan replied that yes, the item was delivered and sent me an incomprehensible photo of poor quality as confirmation. To my question, what should I do with it if I need a collection code, he sent me the code in text form. I once again asked him to send me the FM code for scanning, he replied that for this I should write directly to eBay. I wrote to ebay, I received a reply that I should wait for a response from the seller.

I wrote to the seller again. He replied that he didn't have another code and that the one he provided should work. I went to the collection point, and, as I expected, this code wasn't accepted. I wrote to the seller again, and he replied: " I'm sorry, it turned out that your order was refused by the pick up point and returned to us, we will refund your money."

I replied that the best apology for my wasted time would be a discount on the next purchase, because I'm going to order this item again. But this my message was ignored.

ordered and paid for a viola

ordered and paid for a viola, then emailed to say there was a back order of 3 months.
so cancelled the viola and the cello i ordered. took 4 days to get a refund.
ordered the same cello from another website but it turns out the same company trading under a different name.
so i paid them again and had to cancel. took another 3 days to get a refund.
terrible company, really unhelpful. they advertise items that at are not in stock.

Ordered a Cobra Ukulele Case . Best price i could find it at was on Instrumants4music. Item arrived well packaged at time promised. Great quality item. If need be i will use Instruments4music again. I had a good experience with this company. Thank you. Instruments4music.

Ordered a couple of items from this…

Ordered a couple of items from this site early November as Christmas presents, no where did it say they were or were not in stock. Placed order anyway, they took my money straight away through PayPal. Checked my account a few days later and it said partly shipped. Emailed them to ask where my item was to be told it was on back order and if receive it in January. Received a full refund but think its very misleading to be told it was partly shipped. Bought similar items elsewhere at much cheaper price. Don't bother with them if this is how they run things

im sorry to say this we waited 14 days…

im sorry to say this we waited 14 days for the cello to arrive ,we bought this on ebay ..as stated there was 17 sold 4/4 and sevaral sold as 3/4 ..only 2 recieved so take care when you order .when it arrived it was as stated in the sale but i can honest say not many peeps had them as if you put a dispute in you will not be able to leave feed bk etc ..no tracking on your order etc

Avoid this place like the Bubonic…

Avoid this place like the Bubonic Plague. Do not purchase any cello from this store.

I purchased a beginners 4/4 cello from Instruments4music, thinking that I was getting a great barging at £189.95, within my budget. I did not realise that included in the price was freight and VAT below:

The cello arrived a week after I ordered it. I have received packages from Germany within two days, so I was not impressed at all by the delivery time.

When I opened the box, both the bridge and strings were not in place. Because it is a student cello, I assumed it would arrive with everything set up. Due illness, I did not look at the cello again for a few weeks.

When I was well enough to do so, I called instruments4music asking for help to set my cello up correctly since I was a total novice and there was no tone coming from the strings when I struck it with the bow. I was told to 'look on YouTube'. I was astonished and disappointed at that remark and the lack of instrument knowledge and customer care. I wasn't even advised logically to find a Luthier or Cellist for professional help. You would have thought that that would be the least they could do regarding customer care, and especially since they tell you on their website to 'Please feel free to contact us if you have any queries or enquiries'.

Since I was not given any support over the phone, and the cello 'was not working' I decided to return it, only to realise that the 30 day return period would be up the very next day, so I emailed them to request a replacement cello instead.

I emailed them over a period of a week and did not get a reply from them via email nor phone. I sent the emails both to the customer service email and the sales department email. Today is Friday 12th July 2019. I brought my cello Friday 31st May 2019 and I still have not received any acknowledgement whatsoever regarding a replacement cello.
The customer service care leaves a lot to be desired, because there is no care. At all.

DO NOT DO WHAT I DID! Do not by a cello from this place! They will take your money and ignore all your messages to them, knowing that they sell unplayable instruments.

I wish I had shopped at Gear4music. I spoke to them and they knew what they were talking about and very, very polite and offered help. Change of circumstance made me buy from Instruments4music.Big mistake.

A good cello will cost you between £500- to thousands of pounds, depending on what make it is and where you get it from.

But if you are a beginner and are on a budget, and can only afford between £50 - £300, buy your instrument from a music shop where they specialise in cello's. If they do not have your price range, you can rent a cello or ask them for the best advice. Also you can look for second hand cellos on Facebook and/or Gumtree etc. Amazon instruments play well from what I have seen on you tube. And Ebay sell cello's from £89-but buy at your own risk- Personally I would say it is worth it because you can always replace the bridge, strings, rosin, tailpiece, and bow for under £100. The cello I brought from Instruments4music is probably only worth £89 or less than that. I had a luthier tell me to paint it and use it as a form of artwork. I suggested I will use it as cello shaped plant pot. Amuse yourself at your own leisure.
Also saving your money to get a decent cello is always a good idea, then when you have enough, I highly recommend visiting a Luthier who has a good reputation and purchasing it from them. Avoid generic music stores.

I have been totally ripped off and now will seek advice from Trading standards.

I do not recommend Instruments4music to anyone. They are a bunch of crooks.

DISGUSTING

Please do not use this company.i ordered a violin for my child's birthday.the strings were broken, the quality was disgusting like a toy shop.it cost £12 to send back.they lied and said they refunded me but hadn't and I had to set up a dispute with Paypal to get a refund. I still haven't received postage back and spoke to a very arrogant caller called Richard who was just rude and refused to pay the return of postage on a faulty good.this is obviously how they make their money.customer service disgusting.i paid £12 for nothing and waited three weeks for a refund.please go to a proper music shop

Fast service

Bought a simple 19 inch rack blank panel. Super qucik delivery, not free but fast. Would happily buy from these guys again.
