Very drying

Very drying. Huge amounts of alcohol. I was sold this at a country event as a solution to eczema. It does reduce the redness but the amount of skin that flakes off is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The small very expensive balm glued it back on for a while but at £13 for a table spoon you would hope so. I guess this is good for acne but that the sellers don’t know about skin conditions.

We would like to reassure you that the only alcohol in our products is cetearyl alcohol - a fatty alcohol which is derived from vegetable oil. It is widely used in skincare as an emulsifier because it is so safe to use, non-toxic and non-drying (unlike ethyl alcohol which is the alcohol to avoid!).

It sounds as though you may have had a reaction to the Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) that is also in our balm. Some people do find that they need to condition their skin to the use of it over time and we attach a page from the Acne Support Organisation and from Healthline which talks about Niacinamide, skin and eczema which we hope may allay your concerns. 🌱

Wonderful spot balm!

A month ago, I used the balm for a week in order to clear my face of spots in time for school. Just after two weeks, they’re barely visible! Great customer service too :)

Cleared up teenage sons spots on face

I bought this for my teenage sons. They used them a bit on and off at times, then when used regularly their skin cleared up significantly.
