No entrepreneurs, everyone tries to sell you something

I run a SaaS and signed up for the conference with a goal of meeting other entrepreneurs, purchasing a ticket.

A few days before the conference was to begin I started receiving spam emails from people selling to startups. Lawyers, graphic designers, software houses - you name it. I've been to such "conferences" before, and there are two types of people - desperate people trying to sell something, and stuck up people happy that someone is giving them attention. I decided it's a waste of time and not to go. The organizer appears to be aware of this dynamic, but refused to refund the ticket. I asked for my data to be removed - which they said they did - but the spam isn't stopping even now. Apparently the data was scraped, so RIP my inbox.

If you're looking to meet other entrepreneurs, I recommend staying away from Infoshare - no self respecting person would go there.
