Do not use

Singed up for 0.50p trial. They automatically took out £39, as I had cancelled them, I managed to get them to refund. They again took out £39 a month later, I tried to get this refunded, but this time they say they have no record of my account existing and there was nothing they could do. Scam

Scammers. Signed up for 50p search, unsubscribed within 5 minutes. Got a confirmation email confirming I was unsubscribed and was then charged £39 subscription fee 2 days later. Bank have blocked any further payments.

If I could give this company minus 5…

If I could give this company minus 5 stars I would! They have scammed me out of paying £39 a month, but due to me caring for my terminally ill parents, I didn’t notice it was a recurring payment. I contacted my bank and within 2 minutes they confirmed it was fraudulent and my card was cancelled and they’re in the process of refunding me. I honestly don’t know how they’re still allowed to be trading as all of the reviews are the same as my experience. Shame on you!

Be Careful

The company claims to be able to provide access to information for most addresses and people. Yet after taking my credit card details - and £0.50 - NOTHING came through.
To top it all they automatically set up a £39 monthly subscription in a sneaky (via small print) and backhanded way. Be careful!

Anything that costs 50p is too good to be true

I remember thinking 50p was cheap. I doubt even the search i paid for was real.
I noticed a pending transaction the next on credit card account for £39 so froze card and reported it lost.
Googled hp-info and here i am.

Next day chatted with bank but as it had then been processed I've had to go through the dispute process.
I've emailed company and will try phoning in vain hope of a refund.

I Feel like such a tit!!!
I guess if scammers think if banks will refund their customers then why not steal?
I didn't think to check trustpilot but for anything outside of my normal online 'shopping' i will.

No stars!!

No stars!!! Paid 50p to find info without success and cancelled subscription immediately. Took screen shot of cancellation confirmation. Today had £39 taken from account. Emailed. Nothing. Telephone number is an unknown number. Bank have blocked further payments and are looking into the fraud. Who is it that is responding with apologies to recent reviews? Has anyone had any success in actually corresponding with the scam company? Can they not be traced?

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would, but there is no option. Total scam, do not use this company. 50p is taken they give you nothing, then they keep taking £39. They do not respond to emails.I have contacted the bank, hopefully they can stop them taking my money.

FOR YOUR INFO; INFO-RECORD.SCAM

I SHOULD'VE CHECKED OUT THE REVIEWS BEFORE VENTURING ONTO THIS WEBSITE. THEY DEDUCTED 50 PENCE THEN 2 DAYS LATER DEDUCTED £39,00 FROM MY ACCOUNT. I TRIED TO TERMINATE THE SUBSCRIPTION AND MY E-MAIL ADDRESS WASN'T RECOGNISED. AFTER SENDING AN E-MAIL TO THEM OUTLINING WHAT A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS THEY WERE I THEN RANG THEM ON 02045255459 AND SPOKE TO ALBA; I THOUGHT I WAS SPEAKING TO SOMEONE IN PAKISTAN BUT APPARENTLY SHE'S IN DUBLIN. YEAH WHATEVER!

SHE CONFIRMED OVER THE PHONE THAT THE SUBSCRIPTION HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND IN THE
E-MAIL THAT THEY SENT TODAY CONFIRMED THAT THEY WILL ALSO BE REFUNDING MY MONEY. I WILL WAIT A FEW DAYS TO SEE IF THIS WILL HAPPEN AND I WILL GET BACK TO YOU.

Appalling, fraudulent Company

I can only echo all the other comments. I only noticed after 2 lots of £39 was taken. I had not signed up for anything. Their customer service agent immediately went on the attack and was extremely aggressive and when I asked her to verify that I had an account (which I didn't) she put the phone down on me. Barclays have noted that this is fraudulent and have cancelled my card. I have lost nearly £80 which I assume I will never see again.

A con

A con from start to finish. Agree a 50p transaction and they debit your card with 50p then try and debit £39. Luckily it looks as though this transaction was declined by my card company - well done Barclaycard.

I was charged £39 by this company without my authorisation

I was charged £39 by this company on without my authorisation. I did not authorise a subscription, or receive any goods or services to justify this payment.

I contacted customer services and received no meaningful help — only generic replies and long delays. There has been no refund and no clear explanation of why my card was charged.

This is unacceptable. Charging customers without consent is extremely poor practice and misleading. If this is not resolved promptly I will escalate the dispute with my card provider, contact Citizens Advice/Trading Standards, and refer this to the Financial Ombudsman.

Refund the full £39 immediately and reply publicly here with a reference number so other customers know you take unauthorised charges seriously. I will update this review once the refund is processed.

Scammers

Scammers. Accept 50p so they have card details. I cancelled immediately but they proceeded to take £39 x 3 over 3 months. Refusing to refund me saying I subscribed. The initial search for 50p returned nothing so why would I agree to pay for a none existent service. I have raised a dispute with my bank.

Still fighting to get my £39 back from these guys who say they refunded me on the 4th September. My bank has checked and confirmed that they are lying and we will now start and official dispute to reclaim my money.

This company stole my money and tried…

This company stole my money and tried to blame me for not reading there conditions. They are scamming people out of their hard earned cash. As other reviews have said, they are a fraudulent company who disguise their theft under a thick veil of deception and then blame their prey for not having read their ‘conditions’. I didn’t sign up for anything nor did I have an account with them. Only way to stop them taking any more money is by cancelling my bank card. They are refusing to refund what they taken off me. Stay clear of this so called company
