Well, So far so good with Indiefy basic free account. They're legit but if you're not a big artist and verified it limits your releases per month and tracks per release (5). I'd highly recommend them... See more

Worst Company I've Ever Seen

Years ago, I gave my songs to this company to release them on digital music platforms. I am currently working with a new company and I asked Indiefy to takedown my old songs. They've been stalling me for 3 months. I waited politely and calmly for 3 months, but now I'm tired. I'm tired of reading the meaningless, mysterious and simple answers this company gave me. I talked to at least 5 different employees for 3 months, but they all pretend not to understand. One of them lied to me that it would take 60 days to takedown, but on their site it says it takes 21 days to takedown a song. I've been waiting for over 90 days. I definitely do not recommend. Spend your money and work with a decent music distributor.

Edit: I wrote "years ago" in the first sentence of the review I wrote. It's been years since my songs were released. But I've been waiting for months for you to remove the songs. I want you to delete everything, not just songs. I hope you will deal with it as soon as possible.

Edit 2: It's been more than 9 months and I still want them to delete it, but they are stalling. I probably spoke to every employee in the company. It's not even clear if they're human or bots. Worst company I've ever seen in my life. It takes 2 weeks for them to reply to my mails. I'm really fed up now. I will find the solution in different ways.

Edit 3: They don't even answer anymore. Definitely do not even go to this company's website.

We regret the inconvenience
We have communicated to the artists that our Takedown system was momentarily unavailable. This is due to the new regulations that were made in the stores, which indicate that any song with less than 6 months of being published, can not be removed. If you paid for the removal of your music, please let us know.
Best regards

Not to be trusted.

Rubbish site. If a 0 star was possible, I would have given them. Wasted my time. Held me down for 3 weeks hoping my song will be distributed. They sent me a scam mail that my song is on music stores only to check and nothing was found. They are not to be trusted. Move on

Hello!

We're sorry to hear about the inconvenience you've had with your releases. We were having problems with some stores that were not publishing the songs.
This is a problem that is out of our hands and all we could do is put pressure on the stores. We know that this was a very complicated situation for our artists but we did our best to take care of them as best as possible and as fast as possible.
We are sorry if you got the wrong idea about our service, but we will be glad to help you and if you have any pending releases, please let us know so we can report them and they will be reflected.

Best regards

PROS & CONS

PROS
1. The first impression i got from indiefy back in 2019 was, one can actually generate a FREE perfect artwork for their release.
2. I Like it for the fact that even with just 10$ for a month, you can create Multiple releases and as well create Many different artists under just 1(One) Indiefy account.
3. My favourite feature is the availability of multiple withdrawal methods
Thats even the most crucial to all independent artists.
4. Make sure you have all necessary documents/license to all your releases so even if stores are having issues with your tracks indiefy can help fight for your right.

CONS
1. If you're a free user on indiefy you're entitled to paying them 15% from your royalties, Not much though, Unless you earn a lot monthly
2. As a free user, Your withdrawal May take Up to 3 (three) Months before you receive them into ur Bank or Payoneer (No independent or even label likes this)
3. Even premium user still needs to wait a month after they must have initiated a withdrawal on indiefy.
4. Free users can't withdraw untill you hit $100 (everybody hates this)
5. Premium user can't withdraw as well until they reach $50 (hmm.. Not much)

Do not belive the positive and 5 star…

Do not belive the positive and 5 star comments here. All are lies and probably written by friends/family of their scam business. They don't show any analytics of your songs and takedown takes forever. I got multiple track on stores because of them.

BIG PROBLEM

Greetings, 3 years ago I uploaded an album and a song. Then I requested removal. It was removed from the panel on the site, but not from digital platforms. And the copyrights did not come to your account.
Now I contacted again and asked for it to be removed. No progress for 4 days.

If it goes on like this, we will sue in international courts. I'm waiting for it to be deleted together with the professional associations I worked with for the last time...

Someone else published my music with fake copyright because of this internet address.
They asked me to fill out a form, but I filled out the form completely.
was not interested.
I definitely do not recommend it.

Not recommended: Thousands of dollar royalties not paid

I have thousands of dollars as unpaid royalties and they terminated my account because now they made enough money from my music. Its been 2 years since im emailing them for my pending royalties. their support is worst because they are barely few people running this scam website to lure new musicians.

I have all the proofs and conversations on email. their landline number never works. since 2020 they owe me more than 5000+ dollar because my music went viral on tiktok and it gained more than a million streams on spotify. i sensed their shady business back in 2019 that's why i started deleting my music away from indiefy. but you have to keep one music left under your artists profile otherwise they will remove your artist profile and you cant claim any pending royalties.

after 2 years of delayed payment they knew they made alot of money now they have terminated my account without giving any reason. and whats funny is their landline number never works so you cant even call them. the support email response time is usually around one month if you lucky enough they will give it after two weeks.

The paper work and agreements keep changing. when joined this website they were taking 15% from royalties for their free service that changed to 30% without any notice or paperwork but since you are signing paper work on their website so there is no paper trail to that. they can and they do change things without notifying users. like they change payment methods without informing. also if you do not have screenshots of how much they owe you or how much money you requested for withdraw when and how. they are simply going to lie about it. thats what happened with me. i requested payment in 2020 that due to their website maintenance glitch got cancelled and the support said "do you have proof of it" i said im sure your website keep track of who requested when even if it is under maintenance. in short if you do start with them always download receipts and check smallest things. like in my case the shady thing was i was constantly being charged some maintenance fee from them and that too after 30% of their cut which they dont breakdown how much is total and how much they taking. the transparency is a joke. i have told them in email plenty of times which is why i moved my music to a different distributor. remember always keep the receipts and screenshots ready and downloaded. and keep taking screenshots of you revenue page. frequently.

Reading all these reviews, now i know that this is not just my case but it happened to alot of other artists too. so the fraud is being done to other artists too.

I urge all of you artists to file a collective case against them. you can email me and my lawyer is finalizing details on a case against this fraud company. they know they are based in mexico so it would be hard to capture them because of lawlessness in mexico and American law doesn't apply there but we are figuring this out.

All positive review are done by these scammers company members itself or the artists that didnt reach to the point to earn some money from their music yet. The company itself is run by family friends as you can see.

Simply put, i do not recommend this to anyone. if you want to use a distributor for your songs and please dont use this one. they are going stall you for payment for years and then block your account once they juiced you out max.

I know this is long review but an honest one, i have alot of incidents and proof of conversations along with screenshots of what fraud business they are running.

Some functions are not very friendly, but the service is good

Some functions are not very friendly, like the Pay-to-go services per song/artist. But the releases out in the specifed date correctly. We not claiming copyrights yet, so we use the free services (such as distribution), and the support is kind. If you order the pay-to-go service once, the system asking for payment the first time (even if its just a missclick), so not use a "are you really want to buy this?" message box procedure, like other platforms. - I hope this is gonna get fixed soon. No other problems then.

My account is on freeze and they dont…

My account is on freeze and they dont say the reason. I switched to LANDr and release in there with no complaints. My albums are live in other distro.
The support of Indiefy sucks. It seems that they only have Medina as the support for the whole company. Sorry but i wasted my money in there. Do not recommend.

Easy, free, some features require payment

It shows you how to do everything pretty simply. You can publish your music for free, choose your artist name, make your own cover photo for songs, and publish together or separate. But if you want to choose what stores you publish to, or publish in less than 3 weeks, you have to pay. Customer support is pretty fast and they're really helpful.
