Mavis Jiang of My Odyssey Tours arranged for my wife and I a wonderful 9 day tour through The Golden Triangle in India. Starting with a wedding in Samode we toured Jaipur, Agra and Delhi staying in fine hotels (often former palaces), eating delicious food (spicy for me and not spicy for my wife) and taking in the sights, noise and smells of this beautiful country. Everything was impeccably organised from the courteous driver, the Odyssey reps doing the check ins in each hotel, the small local restaurants for lunch to the experienced tour guides in each city. We can't wait to travel again with Odyssey to explore another region in India or South East Asia.

I arranged for travel through India, Nepal, Bhutan and other areas of Asia with Mavis that was necessary to coordinate for business and personal. It could not have been handled any more professionally. Every recommendation and suggestion was right on target. She was able to work all of the pieces together without a problem. Even during the course of the trip when a local airline suddenly stopped flying as a result of a financial dispute she was able to immediately work through a solution and we were never without another option. I would not hesitate to use their service again and especially would suggest Mavis!

Mavis Jiang has been exceptional in organising our India tour. During the process of booking our trip, I had numerous questions about possible changes to the trip. She was always patient and replied promptly to all my queries and kept in touch to tailor the best tour for me and my husband. She is also very attentive to detail. While filling the forms I had mistakenly wrote our first names where it asked for family name and vice-versa. She was quick and sharp enough to pick up the error and corrected my mistake. We haven't departed on our tour yet but we do hope that everything will be meticulously organised.

I was recommended Miranda from friends who booked with her in 2015 for a Chinese trip. Early in 2017 I made contact with Miranda in late January who planned and booked for me a highlights tour for March 2017.

EVERYTHING went smoothly and perfectly to plan. Including the weather. March as it turns out was the perfect time to go to suit my preferences.

My guides:
Marjorie in Beijing - Always prompt, informative and was always very obliging when I wanted to do see other things. For example, the National Museum in Tiananmen Square. She often introduced me to little local pastry treats. AND helped me retrieve a lost credit card at the bank. Thank you.

Britney Zhang in Xi'an - Again always prompt and an especially bright and bubbly guide. It is clear she has a passion for Chinese history which I enjoyed learning. Flexible in where we walked and what we did in Xi'an. I'll be back for sure to see the future excavations when they are exhibited.

Bonnie Yu in Shanghai - I only had Bonnie guide me for a day in Shanghai, but again like the previous experiences in the other cities, she was prompt, knowledgeable and very interesting. Thanks for helping me replace my lost sunglasses and finding the nice lunch spot near the French Street.

Drivers: Cars were always prompt and very clean. Especially Mr Jeung(sp?) in Beijing. I couldn't find a spec of dust in his VW Passat after looking for one over the 4 days.

I contacted India Odyssey Tours earlier this year to organize a cycling trip to Bhutan. David Li responded very quickly to my initial question, and provided a proposed itinerary within a few days. David was very patient with all of my questions, and provided detailed responses. Great customer service! I am confident we are going to have a great trip.

We had a great time for our week-long tour of india. Queenie Yang booked everything and was extremely easy to get in touch with. She revised the itinerary multiple times to ensure we got exactly the vacation we wanted and she always did it with great cheer. We were met by a representative from the company who escorted us to our hotel with our driver, Vikram. Vikram is our new hero, his driving through impossible Delhi traffic was amazing. He picked us up every morning with a different tour guide in each city we visited. He was really great. If you want a vacation that is just easy, customizable, and pretty much everything is done for you with very little hassle, I highly recommend India Odyssey tours.

Owen at India odyessy tours organised a 17 day tour of India for my husband and I. Everything went perfectly without a hitch. The drivers and guides were first class and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Thanks Owen

Another incredible trip organised by Queenie Yang.
Our trip went from Delhi to Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Agra, Varanasi, Shimla, Dharamsala, Amristar and back to Delhi. We stayed in Havelis, Palaces, resorts and hotels. Such a wonderful variety of accommodation with greats views and amazing architecture. Our drivers Bubu and Ardja kept us safe and were so helpful along the way.
Highlights of the trip were a camel ride in the Thar desert, sunset on the lake at Udiapaur, Agra and the Tarj, the boat ride on the Gangers, the clean mountain air in Shimla and snow capped peaks in Dharamsala. Almost forget making Nairn in the Community Kitchen at Amristar. Such an amazing variety of cultural sites and experiences. The four of us had such an incredible adventure. Thanks Queenie.

David Li booked our 14 day tour to Rajasthan. A perfect itinerary which exceeded our expectations.
We travelled with a family of 4 adults on January 2017

We cannot forget the excellent service he provided throughout our trip. David Li is Professional,honest,kind,patient , speaks excellent English and is so knowledgable.

As this was our first time I really needed help,but David Li has been so helpful and patiently explained everything and suggested his thoughts, which we really appreciate.
He quickly answered all my phone calls and text messages, even if he was busy,he would text and tell me he will call back soon, which he always did. Even when I was in India he texted and called to see if everything is ok.
We truely enjoyed our tour .

The driver Gajindar and the manager Neeraj in Delhi were terrific and friendly and we felt safe and comfortable.The tour guides and their managers were all friendly with good English and knowledgeable
The van provided was very good and clean

The hotels provided were of excellent quality and in great locations.
The flight arranged from Udaypur to Delhi was also good

I have had many many email conversations with our lovely Travel agent Mavis concerning the arrangement and delivery of our upcoming tour to Bhutan and India.
At all times Mavis was efficient, warm and informative. She even put us on to a few areas that we had dismissed as too hard.
All throughout the process Mavis has promptly returned email enquiries and travel alterations and was so helpful.
We have not gone yet but I have high expectations that all will continue along the same with the travel guides and drivers.
The itinerary we received is detailed and comprehensive,even including full contact phone numbers of the travel agents on the ground ( hopefully we don't ever have to use them!) and hers in case we are not satisfied with any potential problem remedies.

I would highly recommend Mavis and look forward to being able to post an equally good review when we return.

I've travelled to over 20 countries using various tour companies for support and must say my experience with Odyssey was exemplary. From the planning process with Mavis to the many tour guides and drivers on our private trip to India and Nepal in Feb 2016, our trip was managed with insight, professionalism, and meticulous attention to detail. Our guides and drivers were prompt, helpful, informative, inspiring and downright fun. Our trip was customized to our specifications and all of our requests were met with prompt and efficient changes and solutions. Our flights were delayed out of the USA due to 3 different mechanical problems and snow issues. We didn't arrive in India until day 3 of our itinerary. We worried the agency would even be at the airport on arrival. We had missed a flight scheduled from New Delhi to Rajasthan the morning we arrived and were transferred by car, a six hour journey. Odyssey made all the arrangements and didn't charge for that addition to our itinerary. The agency had not arranged our flights from the USA, and their handling of the situation was wonderful. Mavis was incredibly attentive, diligent and creative. Also, we were concerned about sending our credit card information to China to pay for the trip and there were absolutely no issues. We will absolutely travel with Odyssey and schedule through Mavis in the near future. God Bless Mavis.

We have not had the holiday yet, but I have to rate the overall professional attitude of David Li, after 5 quotations to get the right tour nothing was too much trouble for him, he answered all my question very quickly and promptly sent out the new tour itinerary. After the last quotation I changed my mind and wanted to visit somewhere else in India, David immediately reorganised the trip and sent the new tour details. Really looking forward to the holiday and will write another review when I get back.

My husband and I can't say enough good things about our trip planner Catherine Wang and our driver/guide Ajantha Karunaratne. Catherine planned a wonderful two-week adventure for us filled with marvelous activities and beautiful accommodations. Ajantha was totally reliable, knowledgeable, and pleasant to be around. We were able to focus on elephants, blue whales, mountains and gardens while they did all the work! We highly recommend this team.

Thanks to Kyle Li and Odissey we had an excellent trip through India on April 2016. Recently we booked a trip to China which we had to cancel in the last minute. Kyle and Odissey were very helpful arranging the trip cancellation. Overall, Odissey is a first-class tourism company which can arrange all your trip for you with no worries. We had an excellent experience with Odyssey India.. Queenie helped us arrange 3 wonderful weeks on very short notice. Odyssey was responsive and provided us with various options. We were able to tailor our trip to our liking while making good use of their experience and advice. They adjusted just prior the trip to allow us a few more days in certain places. They made it all so easy. Arranged guides; drivers; hotels and flights. For working couple travelling with short notice, Odyssey could not have been more helpful. Queenie also adds a very personal touch - she walked us through our programme and checked in with us before, during and after our trip. There were also Odyssey staff who checked in with us in each new city. Queenie also helped us when our flight arrival time was later than planned to ensure pick up times changed. The transportation we had through Uda Pradesh and Rajastan was comfortable and as made for stress free movement between places. It allowed us to fully enjoy our experience in India - we did not have to worry about getting places and in each place we were able to maximize our visits to superb sites (which they helped us pick and choose based on our interests). We were visiting Chennai for 2 weeks and decided last minute to have a tour for 8 nights. After several emails and a couple of phone calls we were set for the tour.
Queenie Chang had done the preparations through her holiday break which we appreciated a lot.
We asked her to book us with 4 and 5 star hotels as we knew from our previous tours that some hotels aren't up to standard.
All the hotels apart from the one in Mahabalipuram were very good. They should probably reclassify the Chariot Hotel to a 3 star due to poor facilities. There was also no representative who met us in our hotel which was another disappointment.
The guides were very good apart from the one for Tanjore who didn't speak English. We were guaranteed English speaking guides throughout the tour.
The representative of Odessey in Tanjore assured us that our complaint would be noted and the company wouild be made aware of it.
We met the representatives for Madurai, and Trichy as well, but not in Chennai and Mahabalipuram
I would like to mention our driver Jayaram who made our trip very comfortable and relaxing. He took us to nice authentic Indian restaurants and provided lovely fruit everyday. We couldn't have wished for a better driver. He also accompanied my husband to a pharmacy late in the evening for a medical emergency. Thanks a lot Jayaram for keeping us safe with your good driving.
The overall experience is very good., but it could have been excellent.

I have planned a special trip to India with my daughter for her university graduation. I have been so impressed with Odyssey tours and with Mavis specifically. She has taken the time to understand our needs and she has planned a great first visit to India for us. Mavis has proactively put together a wonderful itinerary and has stayed connected with me through the entire planning stage.
