Awful company would not use again
Awful company would not use again
Bought a gas cooker to be fitted in our new home but on the day it snowed a little. When I say a little by 11am it had all gone. Indesit whirlpool cancelled saying due to adverse weather delivery was cancelled but the engineer managed perfectly fine to turn up to fit the cancelled cooker.
On the Saturday morning the cooker arrived but this time no engineer and at first I was told engineers don’t work weekends but yet again another lie. On the Monday no engineer again so I rang to be told they hadn’t rebooked it but some engineers do work weekends so they thought it would follow on from delivery. 4 days later having had no option but to order takeaways as we had no cooking facilities at all the cooker was fitted on the Tuesday.
I sent customer service a complaint email to request they pay some recompense due to the fact they couldn’t be bothered delivering due to a bit of snow when their engineer managed fine and the response was the weather was at fault I could have a goodwill gesture of £20 from the £150 it had cost. Absolute rubbish I definitely won’t use again for products or services!
Absolute garbage
Absolute garbage. My washing machine brand new 3 years ago crashed this morning. Awful noise and grinding whilst spinning; smell of smoke. My cat startled. If Indesit had any decency at all they would come fix it. (Here, Indesit, is the machine number, on the remote chance you might be decent and come fix it…I won’t hold my breath: IWC 71452).
Regret buying an oven from Indesit

Bad customer care and repairs
Faulty cooker
Bought a cooker that was delivered on Wednesday 21st December. My son bought a fresh pizza to cook, but the oven didn't heat properly, unevenly cooked pizza. I rang Argos who I'd purchased from, who put me through to Rita at Indesit customer services. What an awful patronising individual, no customer service skills and no apology.
She told me that it states in the instructions, that a pizza takes between 15 and 50 minutes to cook, I told her that if the oven worked properly, cooking a fresh pizza for 50 minutes would burn it to a crisp, obviously no common sense. The instructions do state that pizzas, bread and focaccia take between 15-50 minutes, but anyone with more than one braincell would realise that pizzas would not take 50 minutes, but bread would!
Rita told me the only option would be to send an engineer out, for a brand new cooker, that hadn't been in my house 48 hours. Told her this was unacceptable and that I couldn't wait for an engineer as I needed to cook Christmas dinner, which she didn't seem to care about. She told me to take it up with Argos, as she couldn't help me anymore than she had, even though she was no help whatsoever.
I rang Argos back, who were more empathetic to my situation and have refunded the cooker so I could order another make. I've gone for a Beko as I know their customer service is second to none and will not buy indesit or any of their sister company products again and advise anyone not to buy from this hideous company.
Indesit are now refusing to give me a date for collection of this broken cooker, despite Argos and myself contacting them numerous times. Joke of a company, who not only ruined my Christmas, but also seem adamant to ruin my new year too, avoid!!!

Shocking customer service, ages on the phone just to get through!!! New Indesit washing machine drum wouldn't rotate on first wash, wanted to send an engineer out 1 week later after I rang totally unacceptable time frame and wouldn't allow me to speak to any engineer to discuss, poor policies from a scripted customer service who don't want to help. Will never purchase an Indesit product again. sent the machine back. Buy at your peril. Fob you off with their poor service.

Delivery team didn’t want to install so they didn’t. Claimed there was a problem with my property. There isn’t. I had to employ a handyman to remove my old appliance and install my new one. When I spoke to their customer services team they were rude and unapologetic.
In 2020 our washing machine was…
In 2020 our washing machine was recalled and we were given an Indesit washing machine as a replacement model number BWA81483XW UK. However by July 2022 rust started to appear and by October 2022 there was rust, paint was peeling and paint was bubbling on the front of the washing machine and the sides. On the front of the washing machine, 20%of it is rust, paint peeling or bubbling. The washing machine is kept in a room where the window is kept open for over 12 hours. Hotpoint had said that they cannot guarantee that all components will be free from corrosion, whenever moisture comes in contact with metal, oxidation could occur. This is the first time in over 40 years this much damage has occurred. I will not definitely be buying from Indesit in future. Very disappointed.
We have a silver under the counter fridge gone faulty
We have a silver under the counter fridge just over the 1 yr warranty and the light has stopped working. Having checked to see if the bulb was faulty only to find it is a circuit board with LED lights, which costs £85 to order, ( what a rip off ) as the fridge only costs £190. Tried to call indesit ( On a premium I might add) but unable to get through…don’t buy this crap
Appalling customer service
Tried to order draw front panel for freezer . Sent complete bottom draw unit and told to take front off this. Asked how since no instructions and told not allowed to tell you. DO NOT BUY indesit if you want good support and customer service.
Don’t buy an indesit washing machine
Don’t buy an indesit washing machine. There is a reason why they only give you a 1 year warranty had mine less than 2 years and it needs a new drum bearing £250. That’s more than I paid for it. Customer service is useless just go around in a loop. Normal use. 5 washes a week. Only 2 of us Don’t waste your money. By cheap buy twice.
Could do MUCH better.
I had my tumble dryer repaired a few weeks ago because it was making a screeching noise. The repair cured that problem but it then made a grating noise like metal on metal. I phoned the company on the Friday and was offered a repair the following Monday, anytime starting at approx 7.30am. I explained that due to a serious health issue with an elderly family member, I couldn't accept an appointment that early. I was then offered an appointment on the Wednesday after 10.00 a.m. I accepted. I received a further text saying the appointment would be between 10.00 am and 1.00pm. At 8.30 this morning the engineer was on my doorstep. Of course I couldn't send him away. When he came in he read to me the details of the problem I'd reported. They bore no resemblance to what I'd said. It transpired that the dryer needed a new motor. Why wasn't it replaced on the first visit.
INDESIT EXPLODING OVEN DOOR
I sat here reading the reviews on indesit and feel morally obliged to write my own. In short we had a new kitchen fitted 2 and half years ago which we choose an double oven by indesit. Bascially the glass front exploded last sunday when doing the dinner. When I say exploded thats what I mean large shards of glass flew across the kitchen some embedded in the wall such was the force. PLEASE DO NOT BUY AN OVEN FROM THEM.... they sent an engineer the next day who said could not find any fault on my behalf to which indesit told me I would have to replace it myself as out of warranty. Now thats actually not my biggest worry THIS IS DANGEROUS my eldery mother lives with us and we have 5 grandchildren if any of them had being in the kitchen when it happened makes me feel physically sick. There are quite a few people this has happened to reading reviews and comments on social media what does it take for this company to do a recall or even admit theres a problem? Even one child injured or losing its sight? Im saddened and depressed a company can act like this. Is this the world we live in now. We have tried to bring this safety issue to various organisations and we feel duty bound to tell people as someone will be injured unless action is taken. All we can say is until this happens PLEASE DO NOT BUY THERE OVENS. This is not the ramblings of someone after compensation just a family warning other famillies
Thank you

I'm not happy I brought a fridge freezer two years ago.It is supposed to be frost free but it's not.The draws are broken as when you pull them they snap in your hands useless thing.
Terrible products that do not last and have terrible warrantees
Yeap, we are now on our third Indesit washing machine in six years (two of which have had new motor and drum). Avoid this company like the plague. They A. produce awful quality products that don't last and B. have even worse customer service, with every repair being £100, no matter what it is! I will never buy anything from them again. Shockingly crap products that do not last and have terrible warrantees, not worth the paper they are printed on!!!! God, please someone bring back Creda (now, they made superb washers that lasted like 15 years. The whole issue with front-loading washers is - FIXED PLASTIC DRUMS that fail after so many washes, and this company and others know this!!! They make a lot of money on repairing their awful washers.
very very poor
very very poor, have made a complaint in writting no reply, did one in resolver no reply. will never use again shocking service
I recently bought an indesit double…
I recently bought an indesit double oven. It arrived with just 2 shelves with none in the top oven/grill. Having spent ages trying to get through to someone I was told this was standard and they’d had many many calls to purchase another. I don’t mind buying the shelf but at £40 plus depending on delivery I think is absolutely disgusting. What a con to get money out of people shame on you indesit/hotpoint
