(Richard James Estate Agent Swindon) Tried to charge me £3000 for selling a £120,000 flat claiming it was their absolute minimum charge. Absolute rip off merchants considering every other quote was under £2000. If they didn't want to sell my flat they should have been up front about it instead of lying through their teeth. The only thing I can think of is that they thought they could take advantage of a medically discharged Veteran.

Richard James Letting Agent, very poor letting agency, with high turnover of staff, complained in December 2016 about a leek in the bathroom was finally fixed in May 2019, had to constantly request a balcony key, they were only ever interested in pleasing the landlord, lied constantly regarding different things, once the bathroom was fixed the landlord put the property up for sale, but was assured by Richard James that they were only selling to a landlord. All of the buyers that came to view the property intended on living in the property not one was a landlord. On the 12th September was given notice to quit, John Potter the landlord wanted vacant possession by 14.10.2019, called the office and told them we would be out by the 11th, was told i had to stay to the 14th regardless. On the 14th was told everything was ok and i would receive my deposit back, a week later was told i had overstayed and they would be deducting the rent from deposit, very poor customer service avoid at all costs.
