The site is honest, which is the most important thing. It is an inboxpounds site.
I have used inboxpounds for a couple years now and I was happy with it at first, a nice way to earn some extra money by doing offers. However my opinion has very much worsened over time, this is due to a multitude of reasons such as unreasonable banning, lackluster rewards, completed offers not being credited, no extra benefits/rewards for extended use and the nail in the coffin is the fact there has now been a 30% increase to the price of cashing out rewards (£100 now requires £130) which is absurd, there was no prior notice to this change, this site obviously does not value it's customers and I no longer hold motivation to continue using it, too much effort is required now and I'd rather not experience any further disappointments.
Wow everything was fine till new update.
If you want withdraw 50£ they will charge you 65£ so they take from you 15£ extra… if you withdraw 130£ you only receive 100£ … wow !!!! Im leaving, its not easy to make this money when you spend your money to get them. What a joke….
Why does a payout take 4 days? You're not a bank in the 1980s. And if you demand feedback from me two days before my money arrives, well, it's not gonna be of the good variety.
And why do I have to earn a balance of £19.80 to claim £15?
A great something-for-nothing site, but I still feel like I'm being taken for a ride.
Got to first payment and paid out very long process however game play subsequently didn't record the larger target as complete. Smaller ones no issue
They have added a charge to claim your money that means you have to pay 33% of your earnings to them.
Here's why the positive reviews are FAKE.
1. They come DURING AND AFTER this added charge. No one is going to go and write a five star review at the exact moment they've lost a THIRD of all the money they've earned.
2. People in five star reviews saying 'I cashed in my first voucher for £150'. It would take many months to get a voucher for £150 and there's no way an early user waits that long to cash in. You don't know if the site is a scam, you don't know if it will close down, you don't know how easy claiming will be until you try. You're not going to wait till you've earned ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY POUNDS (average survey 25p!!) to try this out.
If the last twenty MOST RECENT FIVE STAR REVIEWS are fake/bots, what does that tell us about MOST of the other five star reviews?
Finally, most of the five star reviews mention customer service. There's no customer service. Click on 'contact us' and it takes you to your ledger page. The money you've earned or attempted to earn. There is NO CONTACT EMAIL. If they have arbitrarily closed your account so you can't log in, you can't contact ANYONE. Doesn't matter how much of your money they are holding.
This is a VERY BIG American company and they pay Americans, if not FAIRLY, then at vastly higher money-time ratios to the UK users. They are stealing our time. Say no. Write to complain. Leave a review.
I've been using this site for a few years and always found the earnings slow but steady. OK you're never going to retire on it but I use it to earn tesco vouchers to help out a bit. I saved £70 and wanted to cash out for a £50 and a £20 voucher but.....all of a sudden with no warning a £50 voucher costs £65! Not happy. OK I haven't spent any money but I still feel robbed. I'll still use the site but I won't be putting in much effort in future, it's going to be something to do on my lunch break. On the plus side my voucher arrived within 3 days which has pretty much always been the case.
Tried to get a £15 Amazon voucher but there were so many security steps to get code to pay into Amazon I couldn't do it. Contacted Inboxpounds and received instructions by email. Unfortunately the description of the reward email I received from them bore no resemblance to the email I had actually received so their instructions of how to claim the voucher didn't work. However it helped me to muddle through and I finally got my voucher but the system is too complicated.
This used to be a DIIFICULT but fair-ish way of earning a little extra money - on average about a pound an hour, but it was frustrating with most surveys bumping you out even after you'd spent 20 minutes on them.
Recently they linked me to a Toluna survey that promised £12 a day and I diligently filled in long paragraphs like a focus group. They did not pass a penny along to me and asked me to find the exact survey that linked to it - there's no way of doing this. This is not the first time this has happened.
Finally the American sister site began charging 30 cents for each pay out claimed, so the UK one started charging THIRTY PER CENT on each pay out, ie £130 cost for a £100 pay out. After earning £130 at a pound an hour they'll let you take home £100.
Was quite good, then all of a sudden a pound isn't worth a pound anymore. You have to get £6.25 to withdraw a fiver, making your current earnings you haven't withdrawn suddenly devalued.
It's never been the most generous vis-a-vis surveys, but now Inboxpounds has added a hefty tax on redemptions. A £10 paypal credit will now cost you £13.30 (33%), a £10 high street gift voucher £13.00 (30%).
So, they offer you a 10 minute survey at say 25p, but then want the equivalent of 33p if you want to be paid your 25p (redemptions are from £5 up).
Outsourced customer servivce tell me that this is to cover their costs - but PayPal charges 2% and many high street gift vouchers are offered to merchants at a 4% to 10% discount.
If this private tax isn't reversed soon, I'm out of it. 33% is a lot, but Inboxpounds needs to learn that 33% of nothing is still nothing.
I believe that this practice is illegal under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill 2024, so I have sent a complaint to the Competition and Markets Authority. The company behind inboxpounds is Prodege, LLC c/o Prodege UK Limited 1 Poultry, London EC2R 8EJ - I suggest we all complain.
I like inbox pounds, good way of earning a little extra. But recently getting credit and completing surveys have become an issue.
I played the games and when I submit to get my reward as Amazon gift card they blocked me and I couldn't now enter in to the system..cheated without giving my gift card
I really like inbox pounds Great games to play and surveys and they pay you for Surveys and games you install and you can cash out when like. '
Awful. In every survey where you are asked for your age and I enter mine (80) you go through one or two questions and then get a notice saying you are not suitable 'for this survey'. I've just spent half an hour without being able to complete one and getting no payments. They should make it clear that many surveys are not suitable for persons over a certain age! Surveys at 1p each are an insult to your intelligence. Crap site!
