I've been a customer of Imperfect Foods for several years. I find the produce fresh, nutritious, and interesting. At times, it forces me out of my comfort zone and I find I'm enjoying foods I had never thought to try before. I expect to be an Imperfect Foods customer for many years. I highly recommend the service and the product.

I received a box, with items I could go into the story and purchase and have much more. I paid $39.00 for items, that would cost me no more than $10.00 in the actual grocery store. I'm not at all happy about this subscription.

The Yo Mama's Caesar dressing...Gross!!!
I'm not sure if it's spoiled or someone went overboard on the vinegar. We all had to throw out our dinners since this dressing ruined it. Imperfect Foods usually offers better products

Do not waste your time. Their ads all over the social media platforms, but the company does not live up to expectations. Spent a while picking my items and was looking forward to receive my first order. Turned out they had "an internal glitch" and my order was never packed. My very first order, lol! They give me $10 credits, can I also have the time I wasted on you back? Prices are high, you're not saving anything. Lots of products are their own brand, which defeats the purpose of "imperfect foods". Wait though. The company is pretty much imperfect, that's true. Shop somewhere else.

Order said on it's way, then changed to "missing". No contact from the company. Apparently they didn't have my order on the truck. I called the company and they wouldn't send a replacement order or credit a new order! (Response - I already spoke to 2 different people, and they want me to call again to the general customer service number. No thanks!)

At first I wanted to try the service. It saved my family time and that was nice. Though it was never major order issues, just one here and there, such as we had gotten meat with holes in packaging and it blead everywhere (a major contamination issue) We became less sold on the "imperfect packaging" concept. I had gotten rotten butternut squash, and a head off cabbage with 2 days of life left before molding, or even a pinapple that wasnt ripe on the insde, but was going moldy/rotten on the outter side. Im ok with "imperfect" and "saving food from a land fill", but isn't happening when somthing isn't fit for human consumption.
With going out grocery shopping, I can see that I'm paying more for the same products through Imperfect such as the cosmic apples that at my local grocery is 4lbs for $5.59, which I bought 5lbs for over $9.
So not only did I relize I was I paying more money, I was paying money for some products I couldn't consume. Final straw was 3 cracked/ broken eggs and not the normal packaging this last order. Im just exausted with feeling like my food and money are being wasted.
Where I can say some products are good and Imperfect has some ideals in mind, they just can't blindside consumers with the concept of "it's just imperfect" when some things are just inedible.

I have been having problems ordering from imperfect foods since the first of the year (2023). When I try to add produce, the categories are grayed out, so I cannot customize my order. When I tried using the contact us link, the message did not go through because captcha was not working. No idea what is wrong.

I received my first box yesterday and so far everything looks good. The salmon I didn't like much it was VERY thin and literally broke apart before I put it to cook and had a weird taste. Everything else looked pretty good. We'll see how the chicken and shrimp taste. Also the chicken is small only enough for one person which is fine being it's just me. To be continued......

When there is no viewing of products, prices, and you have to put in a Credit Card # (that can't be deleted) before you can see SOME of what your getting. This is a SCAM. No phone numbers or names to contact either. I was sent my Order that was not authorized. I tried to delete my card and guess it didn't happen. What the Pink truck delivered was not worth $63.00 14 oz of chicken. $5.49. Nice savings they promote for food going to waste and re-buy. Watch out for places like this. SAD!

There customer care number is supposed to be opened week days from 8am. I have been calling for days (after 8 and before lunchtime). Save your money and just go to the grocery store. This is a huge scam and waste of food + time.

I had the most pleasant experience with the selection of food, the price, and the convenience. In addition to the noticeable offers, its customer service is the most upstanding and efficient.

I loved this service until last night when I made the shrimp and was awake all night with food poisoning. I think I’ll skip the meat and seafood.

The app is easy to use, delivery is great, but products and pricing are disappointing. Most products are SO SMALL for what you pay. They have a lot of specialty items that cost more than the typical supermarket too. I wish it was produce and grain only, and more regular sized items at an affordable price.

We signed up for Imperfect Foods after watching several documentaries about food waste in the states. The idea behind what they were doing compelled us to join in. We have a set budget and quantity minimum we try to achieve for our produce (we have to feed 4-8 house rabbits their daily greens as well!!) and the selection from Imperfect Foods was commendable. The issue we were having was the no matter how many times we tried to change up the cart, we were always over budget and/or under the number of items we typically buy in a week. As we weren't sure this would be a good fit, we cancelled our subscription before the 1st order was processed. Turns out, you have to cancel the subscription before Wed or clear your cart to have that week's order not be processed. Come Saturday, we receive an email that our order has been processed, which we weren't expecting. Thankfully, Arrielle and their customer service department worked with us since they couldn't cancel the order once it is processed. They refunded us this order and we will have it delivered to the food pantry we go to so that it can go to those who need it most.

I’ve gotten a few boxes with imperfect foods and they’re amazing! Makes grocery shopping fun, prices are decent, and the food is so good. It’s hard to think grocery stores reject these kind of beautiful things but hey their loss is my gain.

I received my first delivery today, and my expectation was exceeded tenfold. I have seen all of these food delivery services on Instagram and was so hesitant but after downloading the app and seeing how user-friendly it was and how clear and concise the instructions were I placed my first order. All of the items from the vegetables to the meat look amazing. The meat was still frozen upon delivery and through the app. I was able to track the delivery which was right on time. I’m definitely looking forward to my next order.

Their produce is fine, but somehow, across the board, their packaged items are disgusting. I've never had to spit out a cheese cracker before. I cooked a package of their marinated chicken, tasted it, and threw out the whole pan. Their chopped pancetta tasted like dog breath smells.

Imperfect foods doesn't care about the environment at all. It's just marketing to make you believe you're helping the environment. All they're doing is buying "imperfect" food on the cheap for wholesale, and up charging it to buyers for huge margins.
Case in point, most of their non-produce store brand items are the same things you would find at Wal-Mart and Grocery Outlet, just with the Imperfect name. Not to mention that just about everything is swimming in plastic packaging.
But the biggest issue for me and my neighbor who's been their customer for many years, is that they charge a lot more money now ever since they've unionized, this is the perfect example of why I dislike unions; prices skyrocket! There's no value in it anymore, we've been skipping boxes for over a month now.
Once you start looking at what they're charging per ounce or per pound you see it's all a very, very poor value.
The prices are now the same as my local farmers market and I'm in San Francisco so you can just imagine how much these scammers charge for almost rotten food.
Support your local farmers by buying fresh, full of nutrients food at your local farmers market instead of this nonsense or shop at stores like Trader Joe's where there's constantly traffic so the food is fresh.
And if for some reason you're being lazy or can't go shopping, just know that there are great delivery alternatives out there that aren't unionized and won't sell you expired Grocery Outlet rejects, those services are: HelloFresh, GoodEggs, Home Chef, Tovala, Factor, Blue Apron, Freshly, Blue Carrot, Martha & Marley Spoon, Hungryroot, Butcher Box, Sunbasket, Daily Harvest. Heck even the Whole Foods Market delivery service by Amazon is cheaper at this point. But the best part about all those services I just mentioned is they all offer first-time customer discounts and most likely free shipping.
But if you really want to prevent waste and save a LOT of money, look into Too Good To Go, I get about $30 to $40 worth of almost expired food for $5 at my local grocery store, restaurants are also on this platform and sell food they were going to throw away daily but you can grab it for no more than $6. Too Good To Go is amazing if you can find a buffet that's on the app, me and my neighbor drive 30 minutes to a buffet that supports Too Good To Go and we get about a week's worth of food for $5
Shout-out to Veronica Cruz for never responding.

A select few items are actually priced well. Most things are far more expensive than the local grocery store, plus almost every time, they'll cancel a few items on delivery day. So you can't plan your meals around what is supposed to be delivered.
As a positive, their paneer is really well priced and I love their "seasoning for all the things."
