great experience w a few holdups
the scuba diving program was excellent with great instructors and team! there wasn’t as much trash pick up as hoped but still a great experience. The only thing is that the hostel was extremely far from the program spots and not in a good location.
Memorable experience with pleasant people
Took part in marine conservation volunteer project.
Very memorable experience with lovely, pleasant people.
For my first time taking part in volunteer work whilst also having travelled alone for a prolonged period of time everybody made me feel welcomed and comfortable in this new environment.
The work placement was very good with attentive, helpful, and pleasant people who made great efforts to make the experience and work unforgettable and thoroughly enjoyable.
The commuting to and fro the placement took some time out of the day, but the transport was easy to manage and very reliable.
Overall an unforgettable, wonderful experience.

I had a great time during my trip anf volunteer work. My leader, Danai, was very welcoming and did a great job of keeping us organized and letting us know where we needed to be! The leaders at the Humanity Center were also very kind and welcoming towards us. Would definitely do this trip again!

Such a fun experience it was great to have people to give you suggestions and teach you about the city and culture. I had the best time ever! Clara and buse are the best!!
Children and youth support
I did the children and youth support program in Barcelona and I had a great time. I had a great time working with the children at the school I was with a group of 3 and 4 year olds which was really fun. I felt that my experience made me more confident and it was good to be surrounded by Spanish culture.
Super experience!
I did an internship in this company, and it was amazing!! Incredible people from all over the world, good vibe and great time there, I couldn't have hoped for better. I would definitely recommend it!
Amazing experience
Impactrip helped me feel safe when I was alone in a new country. They did regular check ups and helped with any problems we had. They also gave us amazing recommendations for what to do with our free time!

This was the best trip I had ever been on, everyone that joined us volunteering were beyond kind and so cool❤️ I absolutely loved meeting them. I made many new friends and dogs!!! Our coordinators could not have been more helpful. I will definitely go back and would reccomend this to someone of any age, you won’t regret it 🥰
Great experience
I recently volunteered at an animal shelter near Lisbon for a week and stayed in a town called Estoril and beach house ran by the Impact team.
I had a great experience and everything went well starting from the pickup in Lisbon, first day orientation, volunteer instructions, and getting around and traveling to and from assistance.
Communication was excellent throughout the week and I always felt like I could ask for help if needed. Special shoutout to Nela as she was my primary contact during the week as well as Filipa who was great also.
Authentic Sustainability
An exceptional hotel where sustainability is not just a word, but a practice. Its activities are incredible. I loved the food: an excellent Portuguese and international buffet, with creative vegetarian options that surprise with their freshness and flavor. It’s a pleasure to see how they integrate circular economy into a sustainable tourism experience. Totally recommended!
Amazing company
I did my internship with ImpacTrip, and I've had a really good experience. The team is lovely, the programmes are impactful, and you really feel like you're part of something special.
Great experience, don’t listen to the 1 star reviews!
I had an awesome time doing Environmental Action in Rome, Italy for two weeks. The hostel was good, I had one roommate who was also with Impactrip and we had a great time. The work was fun, challenging and enjoyable! Got to enjoy the cuisine and explore. Improvements can be made based on more information when arriving but you should expect crazy comfort, expect FUN!!!
The disregard for safety with dietary…
The disregard for safety with dietary restrictions was very disappointing.
I volunteered at the Greece Implact trip location through IVHQ. I did the animal care placement and loved that part of my trip. The main issues I had were the meals and lack of safety in many different regards.
The meals provided through the hostel were very inconsistent. Some days we would have decent food, but for the most part it was lacking fruits and vegetables, decent flavor and frequently messed up with the dietary restrictions some of us had. I personally have severe food allergies that I was told on the IVHQ website would be easily accommodated. I lost track of the amount of times I was given food labeled as “vegan” that had meat, mayo or other allergies I have. My friend with celiac was given gluten labeled as “gluten free” on multiple occasions. The last of which gave her a horrible reaction. The staff never took it seriously and actually laughed when we told them what they done to us.
Another blatant disregard for our safety was that same friend’s experience at her placement. She volunteered at a shop that was run by a pervy creep who said he only lets girls volunteer for him. When the local team was made aware of his disgusting behavior with the young female volunteers, they told her that she just didn’t look at it from his perspective. Very disappointed with the way it was handled.
I had a very mixed experience with impact trip this summer. I really enjoyed the volunteer aspect, but the accommodations that we had to pay for were less than acceptable.
I arranged a volunteer trip with IVHQ & Impact
I arranged a volunteer trip with IVHQ which was subcontracted to Impactrip I travelled half way across Europe and after a long flight and 2.5 hour ferry trip was contacted the following day by the team at Impact I was the only volunteer on this trip , the trip itself fell far short of my expectations based on the information provided by both Impact and IVHQ I would urge anyone to avoid either of these companies they value your money far more than your safety and expectations a great experience AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Loved it!
Just finished two weeks with ImpacTrip in Barcelona for the Marine Conservation program, and it was such an amazing experience! 🌊 I went in as a complete beginner diver, and now I’m officially certified, I still can’t believe it!
The local team was super welcoming and really passionate about ocean conservation, which made everything feel meaningful. Plus, it was a great way to practice my Spanish while doing something hands-on and impactful.
Only downside? The food could’ve been a little better, but honestly, it didn’t even matter that much given how awesome everything else was.
If you're into marine life and want to learn to dive while making a difference, I definitely recommend this program!
Croatia Impact Trip
My local coordinators in Croatia, Mara and Petra, made my experience really great- they were so welcoming, kind and made sure that I was getting support and the most out of volunteering the whole time :) Thank you to you both ❤️❤️
Impact in my life
I’m in Impact Beach House for my internship. I can write that everyone is very helpful here. For me was also very good to be together with young people. I feel my self like I’m at my home. For sure I will miss this house when I go back to my (Türkiye-Istanbul) country. 2025 summer was so different for my life. If you want to try something different in your life, come here help to environment and people, feel good.
I'm a first time international traveler
I'm a first time international traveler, so I was nervous. But the Impactrip representative, Claudia and Rui, were very knowledgeable and helpful the whole way through. I got to meet some cool people and make wonderful memories. The only improvement could be improving the hostel/sleeping accommodations. Other than that, my travel experience with Impactrip helped me build confidence in myself as a traveler.
I spent two weeks (plus a couple of…
I spent two weeks (plus a couple of extra nights) volunteering with ImpacTrip in Split, Croatia, working in the Youth Support program — and it was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had.
From day one, I felt welcomed and supported. The local coordinator was incredibly friendly and always available, creating a relaxed and open atmosphere for all of us. The work with the local youth was both meaningful and eye-opening. Knowing I was making even a small difference was deeply fulfilling — it gave real purpose to every day I was there.
The accommodation was simple but comfortable, and the Croatian food served was genuinely delicious. Sharing mealtimes with other volunteers added to the warmth of the experience.
One of the highlights for me was the people I met. The volunteer group was super international, and we quickly bonded over shared values and adventures around Split. Exploring the city, going on weekend trips, and exchanging stories with volunteers from all over the world was just as enriching as the volunteering itself.
If I were to do it again (and I probably will!), I’d definitely request a private room for a bit more personal space — but that’s just a small note in an otherwise amazing journey.
