Astonishing amateurishness
Unluckily I have to join the group of one-stars. First our order didn't go through and continued pending. We called, chose "continue in English" and were answered by a recording in Greek, nobody answered. Finally we got through on the greek line. BUT: items were not delivered for several weeks, only after we called again, two of the items were missing and although they promised, we have not got the money back even several weeks later. Compared to others here we were lucky, but the amount of amateurishness is astonishing in a company that should care about their international reputation. Greetings from Sweden!
Online orders are a scam
Made an online order on October 16 after several delivery delays they delivered the order with half missing items worth 3000 euro...they delivered half of sofa,half of bed.despit the calls I made every week till now I don't know what to do ,no body answers or care because you only have to call customer service and that's it.

I am deeply disappointed with my online ordering experience. Despite paying in full, my September 2024 order remains incomplete as of February 2025. The delivery process has been chaotic and unreliable, and customer service has been unresponsive, unable to provide solutions or updates. I regret trusting this service and strongly discourage others from placing online orders with delivery, as the lack of accountability and support has been unacceptable.

They never deliver your product if you buy online! The people that work at the call center don’t receive any training at all and they don’t have any professional information system like other companies, and that’s a fact! They search the site to see if the products are available! Their only training is to tell you lies in order to stop you from calling a lawyer and from reporting them! Never buy online, TERRIBLE experience. We are waiting for an order to arrive that we placed 20 days ago (!) with no update whatsoever and the people in the call center know nothing about it (but it’s not their fault, the company is a scam). The call center company(I don’t know if it’s IKEA but IKEA is disgusting nonetheless for hiring them) should have been shut down and face the law. Disgusting.

The worst IKEA of the world! Wrong product codes in the store, online shop never updates the status of order, delivery of products takes ages. If it wasn't the brand of IKEA, I would have thought I was scammed. The kind of service offered in Greece is not worthy of the IKEA brand.

I was charged for services NOT provided. Additionally, they did not sent all the items I had given to them. Literally, I paid items and gave them to their logistic service, and they did not ship everything. Unacceptable customer service. Hopefully they will reply to the European authorities I have reported them to, since they don’t seem to reply to me to resolve my issue.

I got an SMS they’ll deliver today, later I received specific time frame, I arranged to be at home until 15:00, no ring no call, I checked with IKEA they told me it was out for delivery. Right after I hung up I received an SMS that they couldn’t delivery because of the recipient (me).
Avoid buying online, to save yourself from a nervous breakdown! The worst customer experience!

Bought 3 closets / wardrobes in October, around the middle of the month - ordered online.
Diakinisis, their useless shipping partners literally dumped the order in our living room - my spouse was on the phone at the time.
That would be probably OK, only they dumped just 1/3 of the order, they left no packing list, we had to trawl through the paperwork to find out what was delivered.
A gruelling couple of months followed, with countless man hours spent trying to get our stuff or our money back. The staff on the phone are completely decorative, they really cannot do anything else than tell you that “someone will call you”, which if course they don’t.
This happened ( we got our order delivered) just before December but bits of it were messed up, too many hinges, not the shelves we ordered etc. At this point I was exhausted and thought to myself suck it, let’s go with what we have and get the missing bits later.
Then they were hacked, so I could not return the extra bits they delivered nor order online. Shelves are not actually an “off the shelf” item (good pun and delicious irony) so I could not purchase anything else.
This I did earlier today, 27th of December. They took those extra hinges back, got my in store credit and the shelves I was missing were apparently in stock, so things were looking up.
NOT! Apparently their system does not show stock real time, so I had to get back to the queue to get yet another refund.
I had already spent 3 hours in the shop so I am embarrassed to say that I basically broke down, told them to shove them and left, losing / forfeiting my 25 euro refund in the process, I was simply mentally exhausted by all the standard responses.
Especially on the phone, you almost feel like you’re speaking to a machine.
Bottom line, if you value your mental health and your time, do not purchase anything other than the usual tattle they sell. If it does not go right (which it appears is very likely) you are in for the loooong haul.
Though the frontline staff are helpful and try their best, it appears that management is non existent. I’d bet they are “family”, if you catch my drift.
PS.: I cannot wrap my head around the fact that they run out off stock so often, even with basic stuff. Completely boggles the mind as to how companies like this survive. But wait, we all know, but it truly is another story.

Purchase a kitchen in IKEA Airport in October 2024. Paid on Oct 24. After 64 items delivered then 3. 50 are missing. 20 calls at Customer Service, Ikea Airport : They apologize but they know nothing. They ignore what was delivered, i need to check by myself. 5 days ago, they say they were hacked. Now, I need to have a flight from France and see the situation

Disgusting customer service
Disgusting customer service - I thought IKEA were a professional company. Not in Greece it is appalling Their customer service is non existent. I bought a sofa and chair delivered 22/10 after one month waiting. As soon as I opened the boxes it was clear that half the covers both for the settee and chair were missing. Called IKEA immediately was told to E mail in with photos I did this straight away. No response not even an acknowledgement. Have called the Athens help line three times a week for two months they just say sorry will get someone up call you. They never call the help line can’t or won’t help. I am now going to a lawyer I want my €1400 back I have furniture that is unusable and ugly without covers. What is the point in having a help centre that cannot help. Nobody in IKEA knows the head office address or name of their manager. E mail response is nil. Do not buy anything from this organisation they are not interested in after care or customer satisfaction I am so angry and frustrated with the total apathy of this compsny

I had the most terrible experience with IKEA in Greece. I placed an order, and my items never arrived. I tried calling their customer service multiple times, no exaggeration – at least 30 calls – and received no helpful response. The worst part is I had to make FOUR visits to the store to resolve the issue, which is just unacceptable.
After 3.5 months of constant back-and-forth, I finally managed to get a refund, but the process was so frustrating and time-consuming. The lack of communication, poor customer service, and overall unprofessionalism were infuriating. I won’t be shopping at IKEA again, and I highly recommend you avoid them if you want to save yourself the hassle.

Same complaints as all other recent reviewers. Made orders in June. Waited over two months for delivery. When it finally came in late August (after repeated calls to chase the delivery), parts were damaged, the invoice was missing and I'm still waiting now (mid-November) for a response to my contact with customer services. Thinking I would avoid the online experience, I went to the store by Athens airport on a weekend to pick up some shelves and small items and waited 1.5 hours in a queue to collect these from the new "self-service" desks. Employees rude and unprofessional
I like IKEA furniture and products a lot. Their resources, being a multinational giant company, are great. However, it is very sad to note that their customer service is insincere, rude and completely unprofessional. Who hires those people and mangers?! It is unbelievable, such a poor quality, for a company that size. Moreover, it is my perception, the company is part of the "system" and not treating the customer with the appropriate respect. We are not talking about the local bakery store, what expectations could one have, we are talking about employees from a giant company with impressive resources and expected to provide some real value both with their products and services. Completely disappointed, mostly, with their employees.
