Extremely disappointed with the level of service from this company. I was hung up on when I called, and given incorrect delivery dates on more than one occasion.
When I tried to raise a formal complaint, I was told complaints are handled internally with no feedback given to customers. There is no transparency, no acknowledgement, and no way to escalate your concerns. As a customer, you are simply left in the dark.
This is not how a modern, reputable company should operate. I have since contacted the CEO directly to ask whether a proper complaints process even exists. I am still waiting for a response.
I would caution anyone considering using this company to think carefully before doing so.

I love IKEA! They get it right. I’ve purchased 7 rooms of furniture plus countless decor and accessory pieces. I’m probably an expert on putting together their bookshelves, dressers, tables and more. I’ve rarely had an issue with anything I’ve built. The pieces are precision and innovative! I have only had one return, of a lounge chair that just didn’t feel right for my body. But when I took it back, even their Customer Service was absolutely outstanding!! No questions. Easy on the spot refund. I’ve used their delivery service also for things that wouldn’t fit in my car. It was worth every penny. They showed up exactly on time and brought it just inside my entry way as I asked. The mattresses are a tenth of what I paid for my last one at a big mattress chain. and they’ve held up better than any I’ve owned. I’m an older, retired woman and can still easily assemble their pieces. My kids took their bedrooms pieces with them as they left home because they held up for years and years. I’m very thankful for IKEA stores and the quality that has not disappointed since they came to our town decades ago.

We used the Ikea video call system to work with an Ikea advisor to design a run of wardrobes with sliding doors and one hinged door with the same cabinet height across the full width.
The hinged door although described as the same "Grimo" style turned out to be 15mm shorter in height.
I contacted customer service and spoke with Don who told me the doors were not from the same range even though both sliding and hinged doors were described as "Grimo". At no time during the design were we told the door heights would not be matching.
It turns out that in the opinion of Ikea that the mismatch is my fault for not checking the door dimensions prior to placing the order.
Do not use this company as they have no ethics or accountability.

purchased an IKEA sofa, including delivery and assembly. The delivery team clearly damaged the wall while carrying the boxes into my home, to the point that they even added a note saying “damaged wall” on the delivery slip.
I filed a complaint with IKEA, attaching photos and a copy of the delivery document. Their response was that, according to the delivery team, the wall was already damaged, and they offered a refund of only one third of the delivery cost.
The wall was not damaged beforehand, and I have internal security camera footage that clearly shows the damage caused by the delivery team — footage I did not initially share because I trusted in the good faith of the people delivering the packages.
For a large company like IKEA, it is unacceptable to be so stingy with compensation and to risk losing a customer who, until recently, had been loyal.

1 star because nothing lower. I made an order - on corner sofa-Holmsund and after few days a part of the order cancelled, when enquired, they want either to cancel my entire order, or wait for the part that got out of stock!

I ordered a table and chairs in January. First, one chair came with rusty screws and hinges, but they sent a new one, ok. But now I've started noticing that there are weird marks on the table that don't follow a pattern, I don't think it was like this. I've contacted their customer service, they said they would replace it and that they would call me for details. First of all, I've never been recontacted. Secondly, I don't even have time or desire for them to come over, dismantle the table, bring a new one for us to assemble. It's extra headache for us. All I want to say that their quality has decreased significantly. Probably won't bother again ordering from them

IKEA credit card payment allocation is unfair and misleading. Payments are applied to promotions expiring later instead of balances already charging interest, and customers are not allowed to change this. This design increases interest risk and makes it harder to pay balances responsibly. Customer service admits “the system is designed this way” and offers no solution.

I needed to run into the store for a few items. Everywhere I turned there were people pushing cats in strollers. I, like many other customers, am allergic to cat dander. I explained this to the manager; however, the only response I received was that the Bangkok stores have gone pet friendly. I hope Fluffy has more money than me, I will not be back. IKEA is more concerned about a cat’s happiness over customer’s health. By the time I got home, I hate to start pumping antihistamines

I ordered some goods, they sat click and collect between 2 and 4 they are not at collection point, it’s actually a delivery! And now they just take it back, a refund! What use it that, I still want the goods. Can I talk to someone, NO, what is the point?

Ikea are the worst company I have had do deal with in terms of customer service.
I have been waiting for replacement work tops after the last one bubbled approximately 18 months ago.
I put in a request for someone to look at them, I was told to send photos.
Firstly, ‘heat damage’ from the cooker, but the right hand side of my cooking doesn’t work, so it can’t be heat damage, then apparently water damage, if it had been sealed properly then water would get in.
When they eventually said they would replace it, the jokes continued.
Wrong measurements, different coloured up -stands to the work tops, work tops too small this has happened, several times.
Poor communication with fitters or even no communication.

I have been a global IKEA customer for over two decades, but my recent experience with IKEA Italia has been the most disappointing to date. After a large February order for my new home was significantly delayed—causing both financial loss and major logistical inconvenience—I was promised a full refund of the shipping costs by customer service. Since that agreement, there has been total silence. No follow-up, no refund, and zero response to my emails. It is disheartening to see a brand I once respected show such a lack of pride and basic professional courtesy.

I ordered a mattress and the first delivery was wrong. I was told a replacement would arrive a couple of days later and that the incorrect one would be collected, but on that date they only came to collect. When the replacement arrived, it was wrong again. Support was VERY unhelpful: long waits, agents deliberately disconnecting from 4.30pm no doubt because home time at 5.30pm, and no clear information. Still not resolved. Disgusting customer service and VERY SLOW - not prompt at all!

I recently purchased furniture from IKEA online and had it delivered to my home. The delivery team brought everything directly to the room of my choice, which made the whole process much easier and more convenient. The delivery cost was quite expensive, but honestly it was worth it for the service provided. Everything arrived in good condition and the experience was smooth overall. I’m very happy with the service and would definitely consider using it again.

Having bought my kitchen cupboards and doors over a month or so I have twice asked why I have to pay to pick up my kickpanels simply because the 2 stores, both 90 minutes away from me, never have them in stock, even samples to view. No answers whatsoever. Customer Service just doesn't exist at IKEA in Italy

IKEA Italy has the worst customer support you can imagione. I bougth an electric towel dryer online that was delivered to me that has stopped working. The warranty is valid so I emailed them five times enclosing all documents.. You get an automstic answer each time saying they will contact you soon, but they don't. Then I called them and they promise to send a voucher, but they don't. Then they say they need to come and pick up the towel dryer before they can send a voucher. They promise to come Febr. 27, but they don't. Their customer service quality is just not working.

PLEASE FIRE EVERYONE WORKING FOR IKEA IN Italy!
The Italian IKEA branches must lose more items and money than any other country. We tried to place an online order — only half of it showed up. I personally called the Italian IKEA helpline about 30 times and received absolutely no help (if they weren’t on a three-hour lunch break, they simply hung up on me).
Then we tried delivery to a checkpoint, only to discover they operate for one hour a day — at a time of their choosing. YOU HAVE TO BE JOKING. This is a complete embarrassment to IKEA headquarters.
My only remaining option is to drive three hours to the nearest store. At this point, I might be better off flying to Sweden and personally driving everything back to Italy myself.
PLEASE SEND HELP, SWEDEN — and fix this!
