Positive personal experience at Hermanus iHub.
In our recent personal engagement we’ve been struck by the thoughtfulness of the model at the Hermanus iHub. The online structure allows learners to work at their own pace, which in practice translates into a level of flexibility that is genuinely supportive, particularly for those whose capacity to engage is not consistent from one day to the next. That responsiveness to individual rhythms is, in our view, one of its real strengths.
The curriculum itself feels modern and generally well-considered with an emphasis on developing learners for our current technological age.
There is also space, without pressure, for social engagement through optional club activities. Similarly, there are opportunities to develop technology-related skills for those who are inclined in that direction, adding a layer of relevance to the overall offering.
Importantly the Hermanus iHub is managed and overseen by an exceptional, highly committed and dedicated Hub Manager who consistently goes more than the extra mile to understand and accommodate the learners at the Hub. Our experience has been that the Hub Manager has a genuine investment in the well being and idiosyncratic development of each learner.
Overall, the iHub offers a flexible and responsive learning environment that accommodates a range of needs without losing sight of the broader purpose of education.
