Taj isn’t my permanent educator (perth wa)

Taj isn’t my permanent educator, and I. Normally don't leave reviews but I honestly really enjoyed learning from her. She explained difficult concepts in such an easy, clear way that actually made sense as a student.

What stood out the most was how she linked everything to a real example from the ward, which made the concept click straight away.

Her teaching style is really engaging and easy to follow, and she made the whole learning experience feel a lot less overwhelming. I genuinely wish I could sneak into more of her classes because that’s how much I liked the way she teaches.

The lecturers are supportive and knowledgeable, and the content is relevant to real healthcare practice. I would definitely recommend IHNA to anyone pursuing a career in healthcare.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Institute of Health and Nursing Australia. The course schedule was changed completely after enrollment without any official communication, which made it impossible for me to attend while working full-time. The communication was very poor, emails were not answered, and no one picked up phone calls. The refund process was also very difficult, and I had to contact Fair Trading to get my refund. I would not recommend this institute based on my experience.

WORST WORST WORST
I am regretting why I am studying in this college. First of all, my first course was cert4, and I was supposed to finish it in March 2024, but during Christmas break in 2023, my attendance was over 80%, although we had online classes and that experience was also disgusting. Than after Christmas break, there was no update when the classes will start. Students had to figure out, than after Christmas my attendance dropped by 40%. And when I contacted ihna support team they said its a technical glitch, you don't worry. When I asked for certificate in March after completing all units got satisfactory and cleared all fees, they said my attendance is not enough, and I have to do placements too and the worst part is, there was not a single hint given by the college that theres gonna be any placements. They forgot to tell their students about placements. Because of their misscomunication and irresponsible behavior I had to spend 7 months extra to cover my attendance, I paid again for 7months, just to repeat the classes. And they provide my certificate after a month of completion.
Cut 2- second course DON,
SAME REGRET.
extended my course for 6 months, first semester was fair, but didn't provide any information about placements and required documents, no information for required vaccines. I got three vaccines in a single day, didn't think about their side-effects, just to finish my second semester placements before Christmas break finished. But staff ignored me 2 weeks before Christmas break, even after providing all documents and vaccinations proof. Got my placements next month, but got failed. And now ihna charging me 300$ per day to do my second semester placements again which is for three weeks. So according to ihna I have to pay 4500 for 15 days, where we international student don't earn 4500 in a whole month. And I am now three months late, and my second semester placements are not done yet... I regret every single day and I try my best that no one from my circle ever enroll in ihna... Educators and coordinators keep threatening the students that they will cancel their visa and fail them and they mismatch everything with money, whether thats attendance or assignments. Don't listen to their students, just keep transferring us from one staff to other. Staff doesn't have any coordination in themselves. It's been three years with ihna, I still don't know which staff plays which role. Because they are not even clarified what they are doing in ihna. Just don't go with ihna. Just don't...

So unorganized, and they know it. The man in charge at the perth campus literally tried to bribe my class to give five star reviews for ihna in exchange for money gift cards. They have only one admin person, one IT person and my lecturer always seems to be busy doing anything but our own class work. Uniform is like $200 with postage too, what a joke.

Messy

Disorganised. Admin staff and accounts slow to act; occasionally completely unresponsive. Insufficient learning resources and contact hours for a very hands on course. Admin person assigned to the course has little clue what is going on or when assessments and placements are happening; very late communication and scrambling to organise things last minute. You will be more prepared for your career (and save several thousand dollars) studying at a Government TAFE or any other RTO. Seems more engineered to generate profit and pump out qualifications than to support actual learning.

We are so grateful with IHNA for our 2 sons to have passed their DIP of Nursing and this has been made possible because of IHNA's excellent educators, very well equipped facilities and with good standing placements partners. Coupled with their friendly, accomodating and very realiable staff most especially Jinky and their accounts team. They had been very quick in resolving students issues and addressed concerns immediately. Hugely appreciated. Super thanks a lot for all your superb services. Keep up the excellent work. Do continue to produce competent Enrolled Nurses. More power to IHNA's management and staff. GOD bless us in all our endeavours.

Warning about IHNA (Institute of Health & Nursing Australia)

Caution re: IHNA (Institute of Health & Nursing Australia)

Posting to warn others. I enrolled in a Cert III with IHNA that was later terminated by the institute, making completion impossible through no fault of my own. IHNA acknowledged my withdrawal and refund request but has continued to delay and avoid resolution.

Despite repeated follow-ups, formal complaints, and escalation to senior management and the CEO, there has been no outcome or clear timeline, only ongoing deflection. I have now lodged complaints with the relevant Australian authorities after exhausting all internal options.

Please do your research carefully before enrolling and don’t risk your hard-earned money. I can provide documentation and correspondence if needed.

**************************
As I’m unable to respond directly to IHNA’s comment below (if my information were incorrect, I would have removed it).

IHNA has acknowledged my enrolment, withdrawal, and refund request in writing multiple times. I have a full email trail and the institute mislead students, including correspondence with Student Support, Accounts, the Complaints team, and escalation to senior management. I have also emailed your enquiry address and made numerous phone calls, which remain unanswered or unresolved.

Before responding publicly to reviews, I suggest IHNA first review its existing email records and pending cases, particularly those already acknowledged internally. Redirecting students back to generic enquiry channels after months of silence does not constitute meaningful engagement or resolution.

As internal avenues have been exhausted, I have lodged complaints with relevant Australian authorities, including the National Student Ombudsman and regulators, and am progressing the matter further. All documentation and evidence are available and will be provided wherever required.

Very bad institute

Very bad institute

I have enrolled s course there and attended 2 days. However, I had lots of doubts about the quality of teaching as the teacher mostly read from slides, didn’t really teach. Also, lots of Indian accents.

I decided to withdraw the course. All paperwork had been done but they still deducted my money after that. I contacted them so many times to ask for refund but still get the same answers saying that they will take to the accounting department and let me know but they had never called me back.

They said the policy is the refund returning within 30 days. Is it cheating? They took my money after I withdrew the course and kept it for 30 days????

Please think carefully before enrolling this institute

I had to defer twice before starting course , then started course 10 sept 2025, couldn't login, asked for help several times and hours latter got some response and still had problems, then when did attend meeting, apart from tech IHNA end, the guy was who was giving the 1.5 hr inro was talking so fast, a Indian lady asked him to slow down, he was same ethnicity and all he did was speed up.

I've missed 2 days of online classes due to this IHNA on tech stuff and incompetency of getting back to students to where to login in to online classes and help generally.
They say "a ticket " for help is raised and will get back to you in 24 hrs, i haven't had that privilege with an out come, i still can't login to where class is meant to be.
in my opinion this company don't care about helping stuendts, its about how much money they can make.

I'm extremely disappointed that I've been unable to start this course.
In my opioion, and this is my view only, if your considering doing a course with this company and spending your hard earn money and time with crap that doesn't , I would look elsewhere.

The frustration and disappointment I've gone through and still is , is not fair.
I sincerely wish other people better experiences than I've had.

Do not study with IHNA

Do not study with IHNA if you're looking at doing an Individual Support course. You will be left without any help. If English isn't your first language nobody will help you. The course will take a long time. Your placement is long and you don't get a job. Employers do not want people who went to IHNA.
