I have been a supporter from the S1 crowd funding. I have a S1 and F1 now and like both! I’ve had consistent beers made with iGulu kits and my modifications!

With the current firmware, these machines work great (I have 2 F1's).If you use their kits, after sanitizing just add the dried malt extract to a gallon of water, add the liquid ingredients, and use a frother to mix all together. Add the yeast, Seal it all up, scan the QR code, and off it goes!
My current favorite brews are the West Coast Double IPA, Irish Stout, and the German Pilsner (note that Pilsners take quite a bit longer to brew than ales.
Areas where it could be improved;
1. The app (I use the IOS version) is seriously lacking.
2. It would be helpful if it let you know how much was left to be consumed. As a workaround, I use a tilt hydrometer (It also allows you to calculate ABV) and note that when the hydrometer reaches 1.1 the keg was virtually empty.
3. If the keg was larger. Maybe 1.5 gallons?

Great product and fantastic kits with DME, liquid hops and yeast. Very simple to set up and commence brewing. Controls temperature through the fermenting stages and cold crashing stage. Uses food grade CO2 for dispensing. The only thing I have found wrong is that the dispensing pressure is way too high. They have it set at 10PSI. If you have ever owned a keggerator, you know that is only for cold crashing. Dispensing is 3 PSI, you don't want to spray the beer out of the tap and create a HUGE head. That is waisting beer and food grade CO2. Master mode works for fermenting and conditioning and cold crashing, but not for , what they call cooling, ie. Dispensing. They need to go to a tap room and check with the experts.

I originally bought my first iGulu through their monthly subscription program to help reduce the upfront cost of the device. After using it, I ended up loving it so much that I ordered a second one through the same program.
I’ve owned and used several other DIY beer brewing systems over the years, and the iGulu has easily been the simplest and most enjoyable experience so far. There’s very little mixing involved, it’s far less messy than other systems, and the brews consistently taste great.
One of the biggest things that impressed me is the carbonation — the drinks come out with a great level of fizz compared to many other home brewing devices I’ve tried. I also really appreciate that the machine handles the entire process from fermentation all the way to dispensing and refrigeration. It makes the whole experience much more convenient and streamlined.
Overall, it’s been a great addition to the house and one of the few devices that actually lived up to the hype for me.

Great company and great products. I’ve backed several of their crowdfunding campaigns, and they’ve always delivered on their promises and on time!
Their brewing kits, combined with their fermenters, offer user-friendly solutions

My beer came out absolutely perfect, and the iGulu worked flawlessly from start to finish. The machine is beautifully designed, incredibly easy to use, and delivers results that genuinely surprised me.The technical support is truly top‑notch — fast, friendly, and extremely helpful. Freddie’s assistance in particular was outstanding.iGulu has definitely earned a loyal customer. I’m excited to dive even deeper into this amazing home‑brewing universe with them.
I spent a lot of money on 2 f1 machines , the machines are good but the brew kits are always out of stock , I’ve checked daily for months now and still can’t buy the brew kits , I have also contacted the company about this on 3 occasions and have been given false information each time , the last of these was an email saying kits will be available in the uk on the 12th January which has come and gone and yet again still no kits , the machine is good but don’t expect to buy the brew kits as they never have them , you can unlock the machine to make beer with your own ingredients but this requires a card for each machine at an additional cost on top of the large sum of money already spent on the machines, not great.
I have to give iGulu 5 stars, not only because of their product but also because of their excellent customer service.
I got the iGulu from my colleague who backed it on kickstarter. He didn't have a receipt or any other proof of purchase, because he bought it a long time ago. Also the master brewer card wasn't included, and after a few months a part of the kegg broke because of user error.
In both instances the customer service helped me to the fullest, even when I didn't have a receipt of the sale. I got a replacement part, I got the igulu master brewer mode enabled (because its a kickstarter device).
5/5, would recommend.
I brought my husband the brewing machine and kits for his 40th and it’s been an absolute hit. Except now we can’t seem to find the beer making kits anywhere…. So it looks like they’re going out of business and not sure the machine is compatible with other kits so will now have to look into this which is a shame. For a short time it’s been a blast but maybe that’s it?
It's a great machine when it works. I have had two S1 machines crash/die during the beginning of a fermentation stage and will not power back on. Outlet and breakers are fine. Spoke with IGULU and appears they have had some issues with the power adapter on the first shipment that was sent to the US. I'm frustrated but at least they have stepped up both times and offered to send me a new unit. Does say something about their customer service and backing their product! Update- just received a call from IGULU apologizing for the issues I had on my 2 units and offered to send me some beer kits for the ones I lost. This mean a lot for a company to reach out like that and unheard of in today's world. Changed my review to 5 stars!
[Update: April 4, 2025] After my previous frustrated review, I'm happy to completely revise my rating to 5 stars. After 8 years of waiting, my iGulu F1 brewing system has finally arrived! I want to acknowledge that while the wait was extremely long, the support team did an exceptional job keeping me updated throughout the final delivery process. They provided detailed tracking information and were responsive to my questions.
The unit itself appears to be well-built and exactly as promised. I'm excited to start brewing with it and appreciate that the company ultimately fulfilled their commitment, even if it took longer than anyone expected. Sometimes good things really do come to those who wait!
For anyone considering iGulu products now, my experience suggests they've greatly improved their logistics and communication, which is very promising for current and future customers.

Below is my previous review before the update:
I backed iGulu’s original “Smart, Automated Craft Beer Home Brewery” 8 years ago and have still not received my unit. Over the years, they’ve posted numerous updates promising delivery “soon,” but nothing has ever arrived. Worse yet, the company recently launched and completed a new crowdfunding campaign, claiming they are delivering new orders while ignoring the many original backers who remain empty‐handed.
Despite repeated emails and comments on their campaign pages (with specific delivery address confirmations and refund requests), iGulu simply doesn’t respond. They keep assuring us they’re shipping out units, but there's never any proof of that for the earliest supporters.
To anyone considering iGulu’s products: please be cautious. Based on my experience, they take your money, claim chronic “delays,” keep launching new products, but fail to honour commitments from years ago. It has reached the point where they seem like likely scammers, and I strongly advise potential customers to look elsewhere until iGulu proves otherwise by fulfilling all of its overdue backer orders—or issuing refunds to those still waiting.
Bottom line: Spare yourself the frustration. For many of us who believed in this project from the start, it’s been 8 long years of broken promises, non‐delivery, and virtual silence. If you value transparency and trustworthiness, consider a different brand.
So if you are in Australia and want to buy one of these units beware of the following:
1. Power cord is USA type when they could swap it out for an Aussie type.
2. The sodastream bottle in Oz is not the same thread as USA, the adapter available ($24 and a six week delivery timeframe) will fit both bottle and unit BUT won’t reach in far enough on the unit to activate the gas. Therefore you have to drink 5L in one day!!
3. Kits are not available in Australia, they ship ex China and again another 4-6 week delivery timeframe. igulu response to this was subscribe and buy bulk, but that creates other issues along with the average 14 day brew time, so you go without for 14 days.
Sadly my unit because of the above is now gathering dust in the garage, and has never gotten to pour a beer.
Save your pennies and buy a carton instead.
I first came across iGulu on Kickstarter and was intrigued by the claims that it could simplify beer brewing. As someone who loves to drink beer but know nothing about the process of brewing beer, I bit the bullet and backed the project.
I've backed tons of projects on Kickstarter that never came through, despite taking the money and I'll be honest, I thought that iGulu was going to be one of them, especially with all the media coverage.
SURPRISINGLY though, iGulu actually came through with their promise (after 8 years of the initial Kickstarter campaign) and delivered on the unit! It arrived on my doorstep as a complete unexpected, but welcomed surprise. I wasn't ever expecting to see it.
The company has been very responsive to emails and messages and has been pretty conscious about the 8 year journey. Kudos to them.
I'm working on my first brew and working out some kinks while educating myself on how the brew process works. The unit is solid so I'm excited to have backed this journey.
In a weird way, it's like having an unexpected child show up at your doorstep all grown up like, Hey DAD! I'm the son you backed on Kickstarter 8 years ago! :)
