Worst business ever

Booked flights for 6 people with ifly.net.au (wish I could of seen their terrible review before I booked!)
Had to cancel Emirates flights due to the pandemic and was charged $380. Rebooked some time later with a totally different itinerary and another airline (Qatar). Had to cancel again due to borders being closed and when I went to rebook was advised that the fares had been put into a historical database and could not be honoured. On querying ifly.net.au (who became Select World Travel) and advising that our flights should not have been put in the historical database as it had been less than 2 years from the original booking (as per Qatar's T&C). However Select advised they took the timing from our original booking with Emirates even though our new itinerary with Qatar was a different airline, different PNR and different itinerary and had to pay more!!
Tried multiple times for a refund ($9800) but Select World Travel did not want to know and could not care less.
I finally received a refund from Qatar after many hours of calling them over a period of 8 weeks. With overseas phone charges totalling $620.
When I went to rebook fares have increased by over 40% so lost out further.
I went to Consumer & Business Services but they had a 10week wait and by the time I was recontacted by them I had received the refund but they agreed that Select World Travel is THE WORST BUSINESS AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE IN AUSTRALIA.

Misleading and Deceptive

On 4 Nov 22, I purchased flights from Sydney to Japan with iFly (also referred to as Select World Travel) on the Skyscanner platform.

I paid $2,245 upfront.

The next day, Ifly sent an email, with a link asking for immediate additional payment. If no payment was received, they would void my ticket.

Their initial pricing to lure me into the purchase is misleading and deceptive. You can't ask for additional payment after the fact.

Under Australian Consumer Law Section 18:
It is illegal for a business to engage in conduct that misleads or deceives or is likely to mislead or deceive consumers or other businesses. This law applies even if you did not intend to mislead or deceive anyone or no one has suffered any loss or damage as a result of your conduct.

Forced a cancellation and charged me for it

12 weeks to do a partial refund, despite these thieves promising a full refund after THEY FORCED A CANCELLATION. Thanks for sitting on my money profiting off of the minor interest, while I had to go spend another 2.5k elsewhere to rebook after you screwed us. Thanks for stealing $35 from me for the benefit of using your criminal service.

Overcharging

Booked some tickets before covid to go to Brazil, Couldn't get full refund they said they will deduct a lot of money, so I decided to get the credits for future flights. Now when try to use them they are ripping me with fees. The excuse was that my credit belongs to Qantas and I have to pay fee for Ifly and Qantas, contacted Qantas and I have no credit pending there, they are charging me $2000 extra for each ticket on top of the $3000 that I had in credit, as on the website a new ticket is $1900 I will never ever will buy tickets online again with this company.

Booked some tickets before covid to go…

Booked some tickets before covid to go to USA, Could not get full refund Ifly said they will deduct $700+ as cancellation fees for each ticket. Then received credit for both tickets. Now when try to use them for domestic flights they rip you off with fees. I will never ever will buy tickets online again with this mob. Very disappointed.

Helpful and quick service

The staff were helpful resolving my refund due to Covid. Right now I understand how hectic things are in the travel industry so the fact that they were always available via phone and email was extremely helpful.

Charge for re-booking of a cancelled flight

Bought a ticket on 23rd of July. Flight got cancelled.
Was notified about that by iFly, but no other options were proposed.
Found another flight myself on 2nd of August. Told them about it. Flight on 02/08 is 170$ cheaper than the one I already paid for.
They said, yeah, we can book that. Pay us 45$ for it.
So I lost 9 days, 170$ and they want to charge me another 45$ to book the flight replacement.

Did not get my refund

Did not get my refund, This Feb 28, 2020, I cancelled my fly for COVID-19. Until now I did not get the refund. Every time I email them they just say they did not receive the refund from Qantas. But I already called Qantas and have been told the refund is done.

$45 Processing Fee!!

I had recently booked a flight through ifly for my sister to come visit me in the states. I received an email stating that Qantas has cancelled the flight and they are charging me a $45/pp processing fee. I can see this has happened to other people and this is insane. If they want to charge fees like this they need to state it in the Terms and Conditions and should not be allowed to just make up a number. I would like proof as to where this number comes from and what they actually have to do to process the refund. Why should they charge a fee but the airline doesn't.

Above and Beyond

Had been hesitant to book with iFly, having read the reviews here, but saving $250 pp thought we would try.
I messed up entering my payment details, first attempt did not go through, and so I had to redo it. Both bookings went through to the airline, who then cancelled my ticket, assuming it was a duplicate (I have friends who have done this on airline sites, its not a fault if iFly).

Sean called me around 2 hours after the booking was made, and not only explained the error, but had already rectified it (ensuring I had seats booked), and had also found a flight with a better connection for the same price. eTicket came through a couple Couldn't ask for a more positive experience or better communication.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. Incompetent staff that doesn't know their job. They let you stranded at the airport because of their mistake while they keep lying you over the phone.

Moved me onto another flight without notifying me, did not re-book my connection

I arrived at the airport at 8am for an 11am flight to be told by Virgin Australia that the 11am flight had been cancelled 2 weeks ago and I had been put on a 6pm flight. However that would have meant I missed my connection in LAX, which had not been changed. IFly.net.au had done nothing to fix the problem even with 2 weeks notice, and of course their office was shut when I called. Virgin Australia were great and re-booked me a connecting flight with another airline, and gave me a small amount of compensation. This is the first and last time I will ever book through a 3rd party travel agent. DO NOT USE iFly!!! But Virgin Australia are great. I will book direct next time.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Please AVOID to save yourself time and money! ifly.net.au didn't take all the required information at the time of booking (e.g. meal preferences, middle name, seat preference). I contacted the airline carrier directly in order to reserve a seat and paid a fee for this. They told me I needed to add more information to my booking. iFly was not available by phone. I emailed and when they finally replied they wanted to charge me $40 for changes. Then they said my booking payment had not gone through because my credit card company had detected ifly.net.au as being a fraud risk. I then had to rebook and lost the money I already paid for my seat with the carrier. Terrible customer service, rude staff and a waste of money. Don't take the risk!
