Idrese has been an EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE…

Idrese has been an EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed creating my one of a kind custom shoes for myself. It was but a few short weeks and they arrived even more beautiful and Impressive then I imagined. They fit perfectly and I realize there is a break in period for any shoe but my Idrese shoes feel great and could have worn then all evening. I will be ordering my next pair very soon. I even sent a text to the number on the web site and got a response back the next day. I sent it on a weekend. They were kind, thoughtful and gracious in offering fixes to my issue, which was one of the flat shoe laces broke. Not a big deal to me but they made it right and went over the top to make sure I was happy which I am. The customer service for me was on point and very appreciated. I would highly recommend Idrese shoes to anyone. To me it's the next level shoe experience.

Nearly no updates given on my order, still haven’t received

Update on my initial review:
Idrese reached out to me after my initial review to apologize for the delay, and promised a premium shoe tree as a gesture of forgiveness.

I didn't receive the shoe tree with my shoes. Per the review from Tomaz, where he stated "Advice about sizing: if you are 10,5 UK (11,5 US), order half size up, 11 UK (12 US).", I ordered a size 12. This was bad advice. My custom shoes arrived, and were so big that my feet were slipping out of them. I had originally forgotten about reading that review and thought the vendor had made a mistake, but it was my mistake for listening to that review. Unfortunately they do not accept returns on custom shoes, so I ate the cost of that pair of shoes.

I decided to order another pair, as I really wanted the shoe.

Complaints:
1) once placing your order, Idrese will not send you a confirmation of what you ordered. You have no way to confirm that your order was placed correctly, only that you have placed an order.

2) They provide next to no update about your order, even when it's past the time your shoes should be delivered. I order custom things often. Even drawerdepot.com gives email updates at every step of the process letting you know about your order.

3) My second order did not ship on time, just like the first pair.

Setting all of this aside, I do love my new shoes. They are unique, and comfortable, as I was able to order them in a "wide" size. I will likely order again, with low expectations of service, but with hopes that the craftsmanship will continue to make up for it.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Nearly no updates given on my order unless I reach out to them, and then just excuses for it taking longer than promised. Asking me for a review before I even receive the product, 6+ weeks after my order was placed.

1 star for how responsive thier customer service is. The shoe I order wasn't the right material. It showed a patent leather but It wasn't when I received it. The leather is too hard to break in and the shape is off too.

Regarding the material; you chose florantic military. This is a painted calf option that has a burnishing on it, but we do have patent leather available in the section next to it.

Complete In-Depth Review of Micah Boots

Product Appearance: Product appeared exactly as depicted on their site in both color and design. Interior is sleek looking with its plain almost beige interior. IDRESE is labeled on the footpad. You can smell the leather as soon as you open the box too. That was my favorite part.

Sizing: Site recommends buying true to size or using the size you buy most often which was accurate. Shoe is comfortable. Leather is soft, but still needs some breaking in through wearing. This is expected though.

Delivery: There is no specific timeline for how long it takes to receive your ordered product but it took approximately 6-7 weeks to receive product. This is on par with what I expected since I ordered a product that is made to order.

Customer Service: This is why I dock one star. The people in the front office are incredibly nice and personable. Loved dealing with the company. The reason for the point deduction is there was intermittent responsiveness to request for order update. There was a period of off time granted to workers which I was informed complicated responses. Also, the DHL delivery service that is used to deliver products did not inform me of my product being shipped. I only figured found out because I reached out to management for an order update.

Overall: Would definitely buy from IDRESE again. Already planning to buy the Magellan boots in black. I would not hold the star deduction against the company as they are otherwise extremely nice and helpful. I do give 100% honest reviews though in hopes of helping people choose good products and helping companies either improve or maintain their greatness. Thanks again IDRESE. Happy customer here.

Idrese is fantastic

Idrese is fantastic. There is a bit of a wait since they make each pair of shoes to order, but that gives them the flexibility to work with you on your order and make sure it's exactly right. Short of a bespoke pair of shoes for 10x the price, I haven't found better.

Materials and craftsmanship are premium quality. I cannot recommend them enough.

Customer support takes days to get back…

customer support takes days to get back to you. I buy $300 shoes and get absolutely no updates. I have to send constant emails just to get a response back. The whole experience has been awful and now they are saying the shoes are delayed even more after already being delayed. will not be buying from here again

Excellent, Exceeded Expectations

I am a shoe collector, brands such as Crockett and Jones, George Cleverly, Edward Green, Carmina, Crown Northampton, etc. fill my closet. When I came across Idrese for the first time, I saw something new, interesting fabrics like linen, haven’t seen that before. As a result, I ordered a custom pair. After receiving my shoes I have to say they have exceeded expectations. They are extremely well done. I’m also impressed with the overall experience and customer service. Exceptional. I highly recommend Idrese, they deliver a high quality product. I will purchase more custom pairs of shoes in the future.

Nighmarish customer experience and delivery

It took almost 3 months for my shoes to arrive, I continually had to ask about the delivery status.
Idrese promised a lot (will send me a DHL link within 24 hours, etc.) but did not keep it.
I then moved to another country and due to the way Idrese declared my shoes, had to pay around $50 for import tax.
The shoes then did not fit and instead of answering my questions, Jawad just wants to forward me to one of his newly induced service staff.
At this price point, I expect a different kind of service level. I feel disappointed.

The shoes are ace!

Love, love, love the shoes and can't wait to start wearing them.
They did, however, take a little while to arrive because the team at Idrese spotted a small blemish on the shoes that were to get sent to me before they shipped and decided they didn't meet their quality standards. They told us that and that we would have to wait for another pair to get made. That was a little frustrating. But, it does show a commitment to quality and service. And, good things are always worth waiting for :)

Initial Issues With Customer Service

Update: This afternoon I got my order delivered. The shoes came as designed and look good. I also want to commend Christina who reached out to me this morning and explained to me everything that has been going on with my order. She explained to me that there are geographical limitations since the factory is 7 hours ahead of CST so there would be a delay.

In a nutshell I think a lot of this could have been avoided by initially explaining the issues and communicating reasonable expectations.

Initial Review: So this is my second order from Idrese. In May I ordered a custom pair of whole cut shoes. At the beginning of July I sent an email to customer service to ask the status of my order. They were prompt and informed me there was an issue with one of the shoes so it was being redone and shipping the next week. Okay I respect that and appreciated their honesty.

Well almost three weeks have gone by and I have heard nothing. I email support and inquire the status of the order. I get a response from Jawad saying he will get on the phone with DHL and get back to me. 24 hrs go by and I have heard nothing back so I reply back to the email he sent and I noticed something odd which was that it is going to a personal Gmail account. Anyways I fire off a follow up email and 48 hrs later still no response.

So I decided to text the number that is listed on their site. I send a text explaining what’s going on. 20 minutes later I get a reply saying they will get on this ASAP and then proceed to blame DHL saying they essentially don’t know how to do business but they will get me information by the end of the day. Well it’s been 18 hrs since they texted back and I have heard nothing about the status of the order.

All I want to know is what’s going on with my order and when can I expect it or if it’s shipped what’s the tracking information. It’s also bothering me that the first time I ordered shoes from them the moment the shoes shipped I got an email from DHL notifying me about the package. This time I have not got that DHL email and I have heard nothing from Idrese. I am at my wits end and about to file a dispute with my credit card company.

We were glad to have figured this out with you! We appreciate your patience. Logistics has been iffy. Much of Europe's Covid cases have tripled in the last 6 weeks and this seems to have overwhelmed DHL, our logistics partner.

This has also caused a delay in our raw material shipments.

It will likely stay like this for a few more weeks, but we are always going to do our absolute best.

Great shoes but overpriced

I really like the shoes! They fit my feet perfect, are very high quality, and they look great! I will say the wait time was way too long and the shoes are not worth $350. I would say more like $150. I had to wait over a month and a half for my shoes. I definitely will be keeping my shoes however.
