I had a connection: flight -> bus.
The flight was so delayed it did not make sense to buy a ticket for the bus.
I got to my destination 9h+ delayed.
My travel claim was rejected 5 times by Tryg.
Ultimately their reasoning is that I cannot show the bus ticket.
Without any consideration of what happened actually.
Moreover, I travelled with 3 friends and one of them got compensated right away by Tryg.
Finally, everyone at Tryg tells me I should upgrade my travel policy to the newer (more expensive one).
It feels like I am punished by Tryg (by not getting compensated on my claim) for not having the new insurance policy.
Great person to talk to, understood my requirements and had a great knowledge about insurances.
I needed help understanding and registering for the car and accident insurances. Carl Clemmensen was on the phone, and he was very patient and professional.
Had a pleasant conversation with Jesper Nielsen. he was very patient and explained the quotes and befits of the products. We did a basic comparison between IDA insurance vs my current (soon to be replaced with IDA) Tryg insurance and Jesper made it very clear and easy convincing me to switch to IDA.

The advisor reviewed my existing contract with another company and was advising on which parts should be improved, increased/decreased or removed to tailor the contract to the needs.

I just had a phone call from IDA employee Carl and he was very helpful to explain me everything I wanted about insurances plan and also gave me his inputs and suggestions as I am a new subscriber into insurances in Denmark.

I have a degree and work in IT, and in that capacity, I am a member of IDA and currently have IDA insurance. However, I am now considering completely opting out.
I have used IDA insurance and, through them, used Gjensidige Forsikring for change of ownership insurance and Tryg for house insurance.
We bought a house, and I chose to say yes to all the extra packages on both insurances, because then you're covered, right?
Here, a year later, I am involved in legal proceedings against both Tryg and Gjensidige, as it turns out there is a 6 mm crack running 360 degrees around the house, and Gjensidige will not cover it, despite me having several reports from building experts and statements from professionals saying it is not adequate.
For that reason, we are pursuing a case against Gjensidige so that they will cover what we bought insurance to secure, right?
We then intended to use the legal aid insurance in our house insurance policy to cover the case against Gjensidige.
IDA Forsikring/Tryg will then not cover the case because they believe it must go through the appeals board first. However, this is not possible. Firstly, you cannot bring a previous owner before an appeals board. Secondly, the previous owner has passed away, which gave us 8 weeks to initiate the case, otherwise, it would have been too late.
But IDA Forsikring/Tryg doesn't care about that; "it is not a documented exception."
Today, we are pursuing legal action against IDA Forsikring/Tryg, Gjensidige, and the previous owner. At our own expense, as the insurance through Tryg would not help.
I would advise others to consider whether IDA insurance is cheap, perhaps too cheap? Are they there for you when you actually need the insurance? I have certainly begun to wonder if it's worth it.

I am insured by IDA Forsikring for more than 10 years and I have only positive experiences. Even in the case where the roof damage was declined due to a rusted nail (the insurance covers damages from impact like a branch or stones) it was together with a nice explanation. Electronics and travel insurance are the ones that we use the most and had no issues for payment. E.g.: broken phone, dishwasher, cancelled flight, hospital visit or dentist.

Horrible insurance
I was a member of Ida and their insurance for almost 5 years, but I will cancel my membership and insurance by 1st of January. Their insurance is just scandal and you just pay without any money back and for whatever cases that I had they always has excuse, I had insurance on house, car and summerhouse and for all of them it was obvious diasppointment and horrible customer service

I have been through an unlucky period where multiple of my insurances were activated.
Only reason im not giving 5 stars is because the biggest insurance claim for the roof of a house we purchased was handled incorrectly.
We had a roof with a house martin (mår).
My carpenter said a new roof would be cheapest. Tryg insisted on repairing the damage rather than the new roof, suggested by my carpenter. The price Tryg paid, ended up exceeding the price of a new roof.
Long waiting time on phone but resolved by call back service.

Most terrible insurance company, internationals unfriendly, membership officer charlotte can't stop sending the membership bills regardless email records states last day of memebership. since not hope the clients all the best, then better not to pretend being helpful or inclusive. on august 27, i have asked IDA's directors to help to speak to Charlotte stop sending me the bills, prior to that I wrote to the klage dept. several times, i wait for their reply instead of keep sending bills over to me.
i also concern how IDA can save personal data for non-membership?
