I was having trouble with getting my sever running. But it was fixed fast as all hell lol.
I was having trouble with getting my server up. I tried looking everywhere for what I should do, until I came upon a form that told me to check with the server host. So I did and within, 2 minutes of making my ticket on discord I was talking with someone that could help me.
It took the guy no time to figure out the issue (My RCON password had invalid characters) and he asked if he could change it. After I said yes, he fixed it, sat there with me while we started the server, and explained a few things to me that I didn't know.
I've never touched rust severs before but I'm already starting to feel comfortable with them, just from the information I was given by the staff at discord. Not to mention their self help resources. They have made them super easy to follow along with, they have a partnered youtuber that explains a bunch about running rust severs, and they have that support group on discord. Seriously I don't think you can go wrong with these guys.
Also they are cheap for a great set of back-end equipment, also, also they have a great UI for the front end.
A little tip, if you are gonna pay monthly you can go and check out that youtuber I was talking about "SRTBULL" on youtube and he has a promo code for 30% off the first 2 months Im running a great server at like 18$ a month rn :).
I kinda forgot about this. So I'm adding it here lol, The "guy" that helped me was actually 3 people. Meaning they had 3 people on at 8am all jumping in to help with my ticket in about 2 to 5 minutes of me making it. The first guy at 2 minutes, the last at 5.

Found you guys through a guy on YouTube and so far my experience has been great. I moved host to you guys from another place and I like you guys a lot. Easy to navigate through the panels and edit/add anything I need. Kinda expensive though and not sure about future upgrades for my server at this time but other than that fantastic service.

i liked it, it was nice to get more than my other server. the fact that i now can not see my server on the steam server list upsets me quite alot and until thats fixed i will not be recommending your services to anyone. its not steam thats doing it because my old server is still showing up and it was used much more less than this one has been. i wanted to set up a server to help noobs like me but now my own son and friends cant find the server anymore which i absolutly hate...

Firstly let me apologize that you are not satisfied with your service here at IcedHost, we truly do try our best to ensure you get the highest quality experience possible.
The issue you are describing is by no means in our control... let me explain:
Due to the recent upsurge in popularity of Rust, the amount of servers drastically increased. There are currently 30,000+ Rust servers that are online.
The way the rust server browser works in-game , is it searches the closest 5,000 servers to you based on GEO IP location. So when "search" for servers in the server browser and your server is not one of the 5,000 closest servers to you, you will be unable to find it. By sheer math, you're not going to see more than 80% of the servers.
This however does not mean that your server isn't listed. If you view battlemetrics or the steam server browser itself, you will in-fact see that it does exist in their server database. If you are closer to the physical server according to the GEO IP database, you have a higher chance of searching it in the server browser.
If that still is not convincing enough, you can do a quick test yourself. Activate a VPN and navigate to different areas around the US. You will notice that in some locations your server will appear in the Rust server browser and in others it will not. Again, this isn't at the fault of IcedHost, it is simply how the Steam server browser works.

Without going into the technicality this has resulted in many servers not displaying for users and causing a lot of frustration for server owners. We're currently working on and exploring solutions so please bear with us.
Anticheat also has fell victim to the spike In popularity. We're continuing to work with EAC and reviewing our efforts. During January we surpassed half a million banned accounts in total. We issued six hotfixes to tackle several cheat related exploits, today's patch will contain further anticheat measures."

I really recommend IcedHost and I would 100% consider going to this provider if you are looking for a Rust server to host. I switched providers to IcedHost and its been a great switch. Support is amazing, quick and friendly and the server seems to be running great. Compared to the hosting I used to use, the panel is so much nicer and easy to navigate around, I can get to where I want to be 10x quicker than I have with other providers. The file manager is really clean and the text editor compliments it nicely. I also like the fact your plan doesn't limit the player cap on your server. Overall I really recommend IcedHost and there a really good provider. Defiantly worth the money.

I think IcedHost.com is an amazing site, with nice moderators and admins. I believe that it is a fairly good website for hosting rust servers, as they are cheap and easy to configure. I gave them a four star because I think theres room for slight improvement, but other than that its great!
