Best course I've ever attended!

I attended the GFM course in October last year. I found the content of the course brilliant and the course leader, Alan Heckman inspirational and professional. The venue is brand new, very comfortable with great views from the upper terrace. I would wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone who needs to get the best from teams in any sector.

Feminist Facilitation - using ORID

I participated in a great 1 hour free session on Feminist Facilitation using the Focused Conversation Method. Engaging and stimulating questions, interesting groupwork discussions and really great range of participants. It had everything that you can hope for in a 1 hour session... although I'm looking forward to a longer version!

A great experience beginning to end

A great experience beginning to end: The staff thoroughly answered my questions about the Strategic Planning course before I purchased the course, all communications were timely and through, and the actual course itself was taught by a very experienced facilitator. We covered everything needed (both for in-person and online facilitation), got hands on training, lots of advice, and also had a great group of people attend.

I have experienced facilitation as an exploratory process.

I have experienced facilitation as a participant and have facilitated on few occasions myself. The Group Facilitation Methods (GFM) that I attended with ICA was a beautifully delivered course. As a participant I enjoyed thoroughly the content that provided a framework and an easy to use structure. The practice sessions through out course were real experiences of facilitation and not just role plays.
I feel more confident in using the methods in not just work situations but also in personal life. A must do for every facilitator, Coach, or any other helping professional.

Highly recommend ICA UK's facilitation training & networking/support

ICA UK run a number of engaging and valuable training programmes in participatory methods of facilitating groups and organisations. I have taken their Group Facilitation course and their Participatory Strategic Planning course also. Both of them were great and I would highly recommend them. You learn by doing and the methodologies are very engaging and easy to learn, plus you gain a new network of like-minded people working in similar fields around the world. I have been using the methodologies I learned in my work since I took the courses in 2021 and early 2022, and they have been really useful and valuable to my offerings as a self employed facilitator, coach and consultant.

In addition to their courses, I recently attended a 'ToP Tuesdays' meeting which was a great way of reconnecting with ToP trainers and past participants. We discussed our experiences of using the facilitation methods we learned in the courses and were able to share ideas, tips and ask questions of an ICA UK rep/trainer about the methodologies or other challenges which was great. I will be attending more of these networking/learning meetings which are held quarterly and I hope to take another ICA UK course again before too long to add to my continuing professional development and added value as a self-employed facilitator/consultant.

ICA:UK teaches to interact in a meaningful way

ICA:UK teaches you how to interact with various people and cooperate as a group in a meaningful way. I have used the group facilitation methods that I learned with ICA:UK in my HR team and the team members commented that the way we facilitated our meeting was "new", "refreshing", "interesting", "bonding". I would recommend people who work with other people (many of us, really) and/or groups to learn facilitation methods this organisation provides. Thank you for the training!

The Group Facilitation Methods training…

The Group Facilitation Methods training was incredibly practical and insightful. I took away some really clear methods with ideas for how to use them in my own facilitation work. Would recommend to anyone facilitating participatory group processes.

The Group Facilitation Methods workshop…

The Group Facilitation Methods workshop that I took with ICA exceeded my expectations. The ICA team is very professional and experienced. The workshop was very focused and with plenty of in-built practical exercises. At the end of the workshop, I acquired practical skills and confidence of trying these methods in real life.

Excellent course

Highly practical and useful course from the ICA. Thanks to trainers Alan and Bhav, who gave us brilliant, clear and down-to-earth teaching, combined with the opportunity to put the learning into practice during the course in a safe environment. Thoroughly enjoyed - highly recommended.

Facilitating Virtual Events

Taking part in the Facilitating Virtual Events course has been transformative for the Stephen Spender Trust. We were able to put what we learnt into practice immediately, and our virtual training sessions and events have been much more effective and enjoyable as a result. The course was well planned, with plenty of material and time for practice.

Great Program

Great Program, I was introduced to some really useful online collaboration tools and ways to utilise them for engagement. A workshop methodology that I have gone on to explore in greater death, already utilising learning in my workshops :)
