Avoid working with them
Almost a year ago, I ordered a few items in silver. Before placing the order, I asked several times whether they complied with Swiss precious metals regulations, and I was assured that they did.
However, just a few days after my order, I received a letter from the Swiss Confederation stating that the items could not pass through customs because they did not meet Swiss legal requirements. UPS then had to handle some administrative procedures to return the order to i.materialise.
After a few weeks, I received a huge bill from UPS for 500 USD. I asked i.materialise to check with UPS, and I also asked UPS to check with i.materialise. I spent hours writing emails, and in the end I thought the matter had been resolved.
But a few months later, UPS sent me another invoice for 200 USD in reminder fees. In total, I had to pay 700 USD for products I never even received.
This was the worst experience ever. I will never order anything again from i.materialise, nor from the new brand that recently merged with them.
