I am happy with my mortgage experience and I was always getting response on time. I was also getting response and advise on how to proceed and what are the preparation needed in advance.

Right from mortgage assessment to approval, the process was smooth and seamless. We received appropriate information of the documents to be submitted. Speaking with Bas from day 1 was enlightening as he shared necessary information that we had to be aware of.
However, we might look back with disappointment for the interest rate (though small) we lost to our first selected bank due to the misunderstanding of eligibility criteria.

I had great support from Stephanie, who has good knowledge of the housing and financial market in the Netherlands, besides her good English, kindness and readiness to clarify questions and explain documents that come in Dutch. She explained to me all the steps and contracts, made contact with involved stakeholders (bank, notary, makellars, ets..) and kept me well updated about the developments.
What could improve: the contact mostly via email, sometimes is not efficient. Would be better to have some texting platform for quick questions and more frequent calls when longer explanations are needed. The emails can be used for making official the decisions previously discussed. Documents shared by email sometimes get lost in between many other email sources, so better to have an online platform where they can be uplaoded for sharing.

Bas from Hypotheekrente was our mortgage advisor for buying our second home.
