Hygge Pergola Reviews 

We purchased our Hygge pergola July and are really pleased with the product. Well made, built to last.
It has made our Summer House usable again as it keeps it so much cooler.
Lovely to sit outside in this heat and have shade.
It has made such a difference to how we use our garden, love it.
I see some reviews regarding poor communication, i believe the company were a bit under the whip earlier in the Summer with deliveries and volume, but once we contacted them, I could not fault them. Very happy with our purchase. Thank you.

Absolutely shocking company to deal with, placed order beginning of june after numerous phone calls to ensure they had pergola instock and I was assured they did, I had no communication from them after placing order so i got intouch I was told it will be delivered end of july, end of july I heard nothing then after I contacted again I was told SKG distribution have my items ready for delivery and will be contacted by them, they also didnt contact so I got hold of them, they had nothing there, I was then emailed by hygge and told my item out of stock, do not deal with these people they are liars, deceitful and take your money under false pretenses, stay away from them.

Poor communication, very slow responses. The LED lighting system failed after 2 years. Power supply module issue which is not accessible after assembly without dismantling completely. It is generally not compliant under UK wiring regulations (BS 7671) to hide a mains-powered control, switch, or electrical connection inside a sealed, non-accessible structural cross-member of a pergola. No meaningful response from Hygge only a paragraph on how to reset an inaccessible controller, and no offer to replace an item which is supposedly under warranty. Keep well clear of their substandard LED lighting system.

The pergola was delivered on time. Is well made and was assembled by my husband and sons. We did need to contact hygge as we had a quiet and this was dealt with efficiently. We are absolutely delighted with the pergola which looks stunning in our new garden.
I would 100% recommend Hygge.

Pergola was exactly as pictured and described. High quality product which can’t be faulted. Delivery was fast and product easy to assemble and install. Highly recommend the product and company.

Good product, exceptionally poor service

I recently purchased a 3m x 4m Hygge pergola, including a deal for LED lights and a heater, with a 4m blind added to the original order.

Unfortunately, the ordering and delivery experience was extremely disappointing. The order took an inordinate number of weeks to arrive and had to be chased repeatedly by email and phone. At one point, confidence that we would actually receive the product was becoming very low.

Eventually, we were told that although a deposit had been paid, the final balance had not been received. However, at no point had we received an email or notification requesting the outstanding payment. Once the full amount was paid, it still took numerous phone calls — often involving very long waits to get through — before we finally received a definitive delivery date.

Even then, the delivery was incomplete, with the 4m blind missing because we were subsequently told it was out of stock. From placing the original order in March, the pergola was not fully received until July, with the blind arriving several weeks later.

Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. We subsequently decided we needed an additional 3m blind and placed the order directly through their website. We received an order reference and confirmation that the money had been deducted from our account. However, there was no confirmation of when the blind would be delivered.

Despite numerous calls and emails asking for an update, we were eventually told that they hadn’t received the order — despite us having an order confirmation and payment being taken.

It is now August and we are still waiting for the 3m blind.

To be fair, the actual product is very good quality and relatively easy to install. That is the only reason I would give Hygge any credit.

If you want a quality product, then Hygge may be worth considering. However, if you expect good customer service, communication and after-sales support, I would look elsewhere.

In over 40 years of ordering products online and dealing with suppliers, I have never experienced such a poor level of service.

Two stars — and those two stars are entirely for the quality of the product. From a customer service and after-sales perspective, it would be zero.

Shockingly bad service. Placed an online order which did not go through their end despite taking my deposit. Still waiting for a refund 4 weeks later and the company have gone completely radio silent

Following a year of use. We are absolutely delighted with our Hygge Pergola. From the quality of the product to the support and communication from Hygge, everything has been excellent.
There was a delay between placing our order and receiving the pergola, but it was definitely worth the wait. The quality is fantastic, and we would have no hesitation in giving it five stars and recommending Hygge to anyone looking for a high-quality pergola.
The built-in LED lighting is good, although an option for brighter, full lighting would be a welcome addition, as the current LEDs are quite dim.
The infrared heater is more than adequate. We have only needed to use it on level 2, as the pergola becomes very warm with all the sides closed.
Our setup includes glass doors at the front and retractable blinds on all the other sides, which works brilliantly and has created a fantastic outdoor living space that we can enjoy in different weather conditions.
We also opted to have the pergola installed, and the fitting team did a great job – professional and efficient.
Overall, it is well worth the money. We are extremely pleased with our Hygge Pergola and would happily recommend both the product and the company.

Great product, all arrived on time and well packaged. Our workmen had no issue erecting the pergola and were impressed with the quality of the materials and instructions.
It’s now been up 9 months and as sturdy as the day it went up. Love the blinds which are mainly closed through winter and when the weather turns. While not waterproof they keep the majority of the weather out and haven’t faded.
While not cheap, the price is much cheaper than others we looked at and reflects the quality of the pergola.
Only gripe is the pergola is situated under a pine tree and cleaning the needles out of the roof guttering is a pain.

I've had my wall mounted Hygge pergola for a while now and it's been the best addition to my garden after I had it landscaped.

I wanted something to act as a light and heat break on the back of the house on very hot days and a waterproof area we could use on rainy days. It's done the job perfectly for both.

The quality is great. Very robust build. The louvred roof is solid and waterproof, it has to be severe torrential rain to let anything through (you're not going to be sitting under it in that kind of weather). The crank handle mechanism is also very well made.

I was concerned a little by some of the bad reviews but these mainly seem to concern delivery times and some with installation. My experience has been very positive overall.

I understood at the time of ordering that deliveries were taking longer than expected and I was fine with that.
Communication about this was clear and I planned accordingly. You can message for updates and you'll get a quick response from the team. I also got my pergola privately installed as this was the cheaper option anyway.

Overall, if you don't mind waiting a little longer and you are happy to plan ahead for installation etc. then these pergolas are much better value for money than other options out there.

We purchased the pergola last year and installed it ourselves. It was not an easy undertaking but the finished product is super. The customer service was excellent. We needed some items replaced as we thought we had the wrong ones and they arrived within two days. Now 6 months later we needed to replace the louvre opening mechanism and again it was replaced at no extra cost in a very short time. We love the quality of the pergola and I can’t fault the customer service.

The pergola that I ordered was far superior than most of other manufacturers within the same price range, the general quality of the pergola is exceptional, the lighting & heating complimented with the blinds make all the difference.

At the time of purchase I made some huge savings which meant that I got more for my money which is always good in the current climate. The service was friendly, professional at all times.

Due to delays in creating my space for the pergola it meant I had to delay the delivery of my item, Hygge were more than accommodating as I had to cancel delivery on 3 separate occasions. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a quality pergola.

What a great Pergola. Absolutely delighted with the product, support and communication with Hygge. No hesitation in a five star review and recommendation to anyone looking for a quality product. LED lights and infra red heater bring it up a level. Pizza oven and BBQ in comfort, not having to rely on a dry forecast. Hope to add a wind break or decorative side in the future.

Pregolla that I purchased is everyting that I expected. It was fairly easy assembly as long as you read and follow instructions (if you're not familiar with use of tools then get someone that is). LEDs perfect, nice and warm when using heater especially if you get yourself drop down shades on all sides.

Overall I'm pleased with everything, just one advice: Try to have either stronger threads on screws or on frame from drop down shade as it's become lose now( I did fix it by getting selftaping screw for alloy)

The pergola was delivered as ordered and is the best addition to the garden I could have had, especially with the current weather.
I had mesh side blinds added also which make a huge difference. These block out the wind and sun if needed.
Solid structure , had it put up by an external company and it is great! No issues at all and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one from this company in the future.

Despite some delays in receiving our order, a year on we could not be happier with our pergola.
I would advise asking a friend to help if you are erecting this yourself, but we were all blown away by the quality and sturdiness of the pergola. You will not be disappointed!
We ordered ours with blinds which again a year on are extremely smooth and with no issues. We feel for the price we have an extension which we can use all weathers.
Would definitely recommend but be patient…good things and all that!
