We have been using Hubstaff for 3 months and it has been a game changer. We can analyze the project that consumes more time and which one we are leaving aside.
They bill you even if you disable time and they hide the cancellation options, so you think charges are stopped while they continue charging you. They then refuse to refund when you find out what’s been happening. Don’t trust them, they use dark patterns.

Our development agency began using Hubstaff in 2021, primarily attracted by its integration capabilities with Jira. For the initial two years, the experience was mostly smooth, with occasional hiccups that we managed to navigate without major issues. However, in mid-2023, we encountered a significant problem: one of our projects on Hubstaff began malfunctioning, leading to some team members being unable to view their assigned tickets from Jira.
Despite promptly reaching out to Hubstaff's support team, our issue was met with a concerning lack of urgency. It took an astounding 8 months of persistent follow-ups from our side to elicit a response, only to be told that our project type was suddenly "unsupported" – a project that had been functioning seamlessly for over two years on their platform.
The subsequent months were filled with frustrating email exchanges, where it became increasingly clear that Hubstaff showed little interest in resolving our issue or mitigating our dissatisfaction. They offered no alternatives, assistance in setting up our projects correctly, or any form of compensation for the disruption caused.
In an attempt to seek some acknowledgment of the inconvenience, we requested a nominal refund, without specifying an amount, as a gesture of goodwill. Astonishingly, we were denied on the grounds that we had continued to use the platform for other projects, disregarding the specific and unresolved issues we faced.
This experience has been disheartening, to say the least. It's apparent that Hubstaff's commitment to customer support and service reliability is severely lacking, at least from our prolonged and disappointing ordeal. If you're a development agency reliant on Jira integration or in search of dependable customer service, I strongly advise considering alternatives to Hubstaff.
UPDATE:
If you ever want to read our unbelievable chain of communication (or lack thereof), do not hesitate to contact us, and we'll provide the entire chain of communication. IT TOOK 8 MONTHS to state they don't support a "specific type" of Jira project (a well-known and documented issue, according to them). We kept being asked which user and which project were having issues with. 8 MONTHS and their reply below still shows them taking absolutely 0 ounces of responsibility.
STAY AWAY if you do serious work; this company is a joke!

This has been an incredible experience. From the website to the software testing process, support, and most importantly, this tool is so well-crafted—the dashboard is exceptional and intuitive. I've tested the application on both Windows PCs and Mac computers, and it operates flawlessly. Whenever I reached out to support (and I emphasize that I was a trial user at the time), they responded immediately and assisted me with practical advice, and provided links that lead to explanations of certain functionalities, etc. I am extremely satisfied and would always recommend it to others who wish to manage their teams more efficiently, especially remote teams, as I use it in the IT industry.
