Do not deserve to be allowed to trade in the UK

Should be banned entirely from being to trade in the UK.

I'm no fan of Trump, but he was right. Huawei are a risk to our way of life. They do steal your data and ignore your preferences for any Huawei device that you may own.

Opted out of updates? Huawei will ignore your selection and force down updates without notification, updates which then break your device. To fix this, Huawei will charge you to fix the update they've just applied to your device. Its an open monopoly.

They've even taken to closing down their UK support phone lines (not that they ever picked them up in the 2 months I was calling them).

Completely unprofessional company and should be banned from the UK. Any retailers, e.g. Amazon, Tesco, Vodaphone, Car Phone Warehouse, Three etc, who sell Huawei devices should think about cancelling those contracts and distancing themselves from these thieves.

I now have a £700 phone which is completely unusable due to Huaweis actions. They refused to provide any transparency to their service, even to the point where they seemingly don't know who their UK Service Manager is or the contact details for any of their legal dept. I also had the phone checked by a professional whose made it clear the issue is with Huawei and they'll continue to push their updates. That report cost me some money and Huawei have demanded it for free. Hmmm.

Oh and there are hundreds of handset users across the globe complaining about this update. First released in June 2022 but despite all the complaints raised Huawei made no effort to revise the update before it was deployed THREE MONTHS EARLY in the UK. Zero transparency and they'll blame you for the update not working.

OFCOM wake up and stop this monopoly.

Huawei, if you have a problem with this review; lets talk. Give me a phone number

I also wrote to Huaweis CEO through LinkedIn. Zero response which reflects how they care about their customer.

DO NOT BUY HUAWEI

Huawei false advertising and think it’s acceptable. Never buying again

Writing this review to protect everybody’s money and not to fall for false advertising .this review is for their customer service and resolutions and also for the last product I purchased from them - Huawei Watch GT3 Pro .
I have had watches with sapphire glass all my life going back tens of years , and last one before huawei were withings scanwatch and Bering one of their normal watches . Both sapphire glass . I’ve previously had been working offshore and these watches got abused and never had a mark on glass ! Never , even after banking these to bare metal !
So knowing how good this sapphire glass is and always wanted a smart watch , noticed Huawei a new gt3 pro watch which states clearly on website it is scratch proof as it is sapphire glass !
I thought wow , good battery life and sapphire glass , I’ll swap my hybrid for it !
3 months later , bear in mind I’m working not offshore without extreme conditions , just 3 months in and I have my first scratch , which I can feel with fingernail !! Though my watch has been produced with wrong glass or god knows what mistake been done and this is not sapphire . So decided to raise a complaint with Huawei , quoting also consumers act and my right for repair or replacement etc.
guess what , complaints team got back telling me of miuse of watch and it’s not scratch proof but resistant ! So basically just convincing me it’s my fault and this glass is resistant not scratch proof !
I’ve sent them new message and been ignored ever since . I am upset but at the minute can’t change watch so have to wear this one with a scratch ffs .
That is just nonsense , Huawei big company lie to you even on advert and gets away with it !
I think that’s not acceptable. But as I’ve just had massive dispute over other company I just don’t want the hassle for this small watch , just not worth it and I’m going to leave it there . But please , who ever is eager to read this til end , do not believe this company and Al their advertising practices and opt for something else . As you can read other reviews , this price tag won’t hold any support in it , so essentially their products should be much cheaper .
They also allow themselves to false advertise and consider it to be alright !

Save the money and nerves as much their advert is just beautiful lie .

Just can’t believe I fell for it before reading any reviews , it should be scratch proof as YouTube reviews , but it’s not , from normal daily use got a scratch somehow god ..

UPDATE: After multiple contacts with complaints team ,I have been ignored after second letter I received . So I would say ,you can't count on that company if you face issues with their products. Never had issues like that with Samsung nor Apple.

Abysmal

Abysmal. Bought a gt3 pro smart watch for £680 direct from them. I then moved to Australia and after a month noted an intermittent speaker fault and battery drainage issue making it unusable. Despite Huawei operating repair centres out here they made me post it back to the UK to be repaired under warranty, at my expense. I then paid to have the watch posted back after "repair" at my expense to find it suffering the exact same faults and hence remains unusable. Despite still being in the warranty period they have basically told me to shove it, ignoring emails and no UK support via the telephone. Avoid anything Huawei like the plague.

I would definitely give 0 if it were…

I would definitely give 0 if it were possible. the customer service line doesn't connect, it cuts you off after few minutes. Can't contact them to return their useless product and their useless free gift that does not work at all. I bought a laptop and received free gifts that does not work. I would avoid them.

Impossible to contact customer service

Impossible to contact customer service. The phone system does not have a queue -- they just say all agents are busy and hang up (but it takes a few minutes to get through the menus to get to that point, because there's a lot of pointless music). The "AI" web chat is dumb as a brick and all it can say in response to "agent" is that they're all busy and I should email instead. Their automated response to email claims agents are available 9am to 9pm, but that is clearly not the case. As of Jan 2023, Huawei have just closed their only remaining service centre in the UK (in Wembley, London). Their website still listed it as open, so I wasted time and petrol travelling there, only to find the poor guys who will be out of a job in a few days packing stuff up. At least now the "AI" chatbot, if you manage to phrase the question just right, can tell you that Huawei have no service centres in the UK.

I have bought the battery repair service and I have no way to book the actual repair. Even if they eventually respond to my emails and send me instructions on how to post my phone to them, do I really want to send my phone to a company with which I have no way to engage in any sort of reasonable communication and who have just finished closing all their service centres?

Very slow customer service

Have sent a phone for a replacement battery. Customer service at Huawei is slow to respond as was the repair. Nonetheless, phone came back fixed, just longer than quoted. I guess since Google dropped them, the UK presence is scaled back, which is a shame as they make very good phones.

Shocked - Poor Customer Service

I ordered and paid for a laptop and a mouse. When it came the box was damaged. It had been ripped open so I took pictures, then checked the box and the mouse was missing. Long story short, after lots of phone calls to Huawei customer services in November and December, they have closed the case and won't refund or send me a replacement. They have my money and I don't have a product. They need to brush up on their consumer rights because without a doubt they should have put this right. Thankfully it hasn't cost a lot of money because its just a mouse but I have also paid out for 3 years warranty with my laptop which I'm regretting because I imagine it will be a nightmare to sort if something goes wrong. Avoid Huawei directly, if you must buy one of their products, go through a company like Curry's or Argos, you'll get a more honorable service.
Some things I found very frustrating were when you phone them, the staff claim they can't put calls through to management, can't provide you with any alternative numbers, can't give you a postal address to send a complaint letter to, can't pass a message on to get someone to call back, can't provide you with an email address etc. They make it very difficult for you to get anywhere with your case. Finally, they wash their hands of you leaving you confused and wondering what just happened.
Worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

Useless After Sales Huawei Matestation X

Ordered a Huawei Matestation X, it arrived in a few days. It's not a cheap computer. I opened it up to find the keyboard is a French or Belgium AZERTY keyboard. I am an author and I can't write with this, the buttons are in French and keys are in a different order. I contacted Huawei UK for a replacement QWERTY keyboard. After 2 weeks nothing. Contacted them again to be told they cannot supply one. I was never told at the purchase that it was not an English keyboard. Offered me a £30 voucher to buy a Huawei product from their site. Sadly they do not have any keyboards or anything for sale at £30. I had to purchase a generic keyboard from Amazon for £30. After-sales are unhelpful, and won't refund the cost of another keyboard. I have a French AZERTY keyboard for sale if anyone wants one.

Arranged a battery replacement with…

Arranged a battery replacement with Huawei after seeing their special offer - as my faithful P20 battery was not lasting as long as it did. I sent phone off with label they provided. I was told approx 5 working days turnaround . A week had gone by with no contact so I rang Huawei and after an eternity was told the phone was with their 3rd party repair centre. I called them and after queuing for nearly 30 mins I was informed that Huawei had listed my repair incorrectly and nothing had been done ! Not only that I am told a P20 Pro cannot just have a battery , it has to have a screen unit also ?? and they can do that for £220 . TO SAY I AM SPEECHLESS IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.

Certainly 0 star

Certainly 0 star. I have been loyal with Huawei until I witnessed the real way of treating its loyal customer. As an ex apple customer I thought this big corporate does care about customer but on the contrary it is just reaping profits. Want to exchange ear buds got as a gift as 14 days got past. It's unopened pristine in box as delivered. Asked manager to come and talk no one bothered to save a loyal customer. A rep has dreadful attitude. I will certainly not buy anything from Huawei ever again.
They should be ashamed for treating its customers badly.

Dreadful customer service - Would give 0 if possible

Would give 0 if possible. I ordered a pricey phone and They sent an empty package.

I have been waiting over 3 weeks from an answer for Huawei’s supposed ‘customer service’ and I have been ignored.

I even contacted their chief exec…again ignored.

Looks like I’m going back to Apple.

Cheap, nasty, and not to be trusted.

I bought a Huawei router off of Amazon less than six months ago, and it has completely died already. And even when it was working, the signal seemed not only to come and go at random, but sometimes my internet speed was measured in single kilobytes per second. Computers and the web were faster than that in the 80's!
.
While i paid around £75 for it, they are now going for £110, so the fact that it has been outlasted and out performed by an internet dongle (from ZTE) that only cost me £30 is outrageous.
.
But the very worst thing is this, someone over on Reddit noticed something up with his router (a different, but very similar model) and decided to do some digging. He found out that it was reporting his tech usage (what devices he has, what websites he visits, etc) back to a known data harvesting company in the far east. I know this sounds like a conspiracy theory, but since then this has been confirmed, though they have tried to pass it off as ''a glitch'' in some hardware.
.
Believe that last part at your own risk.

I have a Huawei solar installation but…

I have a Huawei solar installation but after spending some £20,000 for the installation in Spain discover it only works properly when their inverters (2) can communicate with one another properly, so it apparently needs a Dongle that is not advised by the approved Huawei installer prior to purchase. Any high usage or issue means the system stops altogether as it trips the main fuse box. After battling with the installer , I find it needs a Dongle (Smart Dongle -WLAN-FE). These Dongles cost about £200 but are just not available to any installer or anywhere all this year. Huawei do not even bother to respond to several requests for help on email over the past few months. I have ordered this particular Dongle direct from China, but doubt it will get posted as it was supposed to arrive this week and hasn't even left China yet, that's if it ever leaves. Huawei sell expensive product that even their installers don't know it requires a Dongle when 2 inverters are fitted, then fail to advise or respond when one seeks such a Dongle. Sent some 20 emails in all to no avail. You are left simply on your own.

Still angry with them, they don't care

I love my Huawei phone so after reading some good reviews I bought a Huawei laptop from a retail store here in the UK. After 6 months something has gone wrong - probably the mainboard. I followed the process online for a warranty repair and was told I could take it to a local store, then was told all appointments were full. I rang the store directly who told me that they don't do laptop repairs any more as Huawei now sub-contract this to another company (who get TERRIBLE reviews). I rang back and asked them why they lied, they said nothing but two scripted options - I send it back with my own packing materials, or wait for a courier to turn up (no date or time). I told them I was really disappointed with this because I had to waste my own time and money with packaging and risk posting my laptop full of personal data, they couldn't care less. I am now looking forward to them breaking or losing my laptop (robotic support agent who only knew who to read from scripts even told me to take "before" photos as evidence so this must happen a lot)... this is going to be a saga. I have complained but they couldn't care less... Save yourself the pain and AVOID.
