Dispatched on time but arrived late
The item was dispatched in a very reasonable time. I had opted for next day delivery but unfortunately DPD let the team down again. Their tracking claimed they attempted delivery and no one was home. That’s an outright lie and I have the CCTV to show they never even turned up. It was successfully delivered 3 days later (next working day) but at that point I’d missed the birthday it was for :(
Never contacted Howe Tools about it so I can’t complain about them, just blooming DPD.

I’ve just had an e-mail confirmation for a large order with all my details on and a delivery address else where!!!! Guess what, not my order and I’d never use or recommend Howe Tools. Wiz Tools for me all the way!!!

Dear Andrew,
We are sorry that there was a problem with the delivery of your order and that you felt our customer service wasn’t up to scratch.
We can see that our courier attempted delivery at 9.49am on 17th April, the day the delivery was due to arrive. Having reviewed the email correspondence and discussed the matter with Martin who dealt with this, I understand that you either didn’t hear the knock on the door or the courier hadn’t knocked on your front door at all.
During your conversation with Martin, you advised that if the order was not delivered on Friday, you would require a full refund. Following this, our power tool experts did everything they could to try and get your Makita circular saw and battery to you and contacted our courier to request that the driver returned to your property that day – DHL said that they would do all they could to return. We then sent you an email at 14:11 to advise you of the conversation with the courier, so you had this in writing. We appreciate, however, that you would have preferred a phone call.
As deliveries can take place up until 9pm - outside of our office hours - Monday morning was the first opportunity for us to confirm whether the delivery had been completed. Regrettably, the driver couldn’t return to your property on Friday evening however every effort was made by our power tool experts to try and get the tools to you, after the first delivery attempt earlier that morning was missed. In line with your request during the initial call, a full refund was processed at 11:55am on Monday 20th April to ensure you got your refund promptly.
I am sorry that you are so upset by the experience and we will be following up with DHL on the service you received, but we do feel it is unfair to say that customer service is non-existent and that service is shocking based on the above.
