Refund in Process — A Lesson Learned

Update – November 7, 2025:

After a long and frustrating process, Hotmart has finally approved my refund request, which is now being processed. I appreciate this step and hope it’s completed smoothly within the next few days.

As a journalist and marketing strategist, I also want to highlight how valuable Trustpilot’s platform has been in mediating this issue. Their transparency allows customers to be heard and companies to improve, which is exactly what happened here.

Hotmart has always been a solid and respected brand in the online education market. I myself have purchased 13 courses there in the past. That’s why I truly hope this situation serves as a turning point for the company to restore the credibility it once had with professionalism and care for customers.

Case still in progress — but moving in the right direction.

UPDATE
In my case, I paid for the course in full for Hotmart Brazil on September 14, 2025, but the course it was only activated on October 20, 2025 — over a month later — and ironically, they claimed the refund period had already expired, even though the delay was entirely their fault.

Technically, the refund window had not expired, because the course wasn’t even active when I made the payment. I eventually gave up on the course altogether, as the creators ignored all my messages.

A complete lack of respect for the customer. I will never buy from Hotmart USA or Brazil again. I do not recommend this platform — it has become a complete scam. They refuse to refund me besides their own mistakes.

I purchased the course “Monetização Máxima” on September 14, 2025, paying R$297 in full via PIX (Caixa) through Hotmart Brazil. I have proof of payment and screenshots showing that the payment was made in Hotmart’s name.

Since then, I have never been able to access the course. It appears in my account but always shows an error (“offline,” “not accessible,” “error”).

I received four emails from Hotmart itself asking for payment again, even though the course was already paid for. I believe this system error prevented access to the content. That means I even didn’t receive a proof of service order to complain. When I tried to asking for refund they asked the number (I didn’t receive one).

I have tried to resolve this through their Customer Service, which is extremely inefficient. They keep closing tickets claiming the issue has been resolved — which is not true. No solution has ever been provided.

They only wrote to confirm the payment of the course. That just admits their mistake — but did they refund my money? No!

The producers Rafael Silva and Vinicius Santos never replied to my messages.

I have three accounts linked to Hotmart and 13 courses, 12 of which are active on the platform — except for this “Monetização Máxima.” I have always been a loyal customer and never had problems before, but this time the company has proven to be unprofessional and disorganized.

Given such neglect, I no longer want the course — I only want an immediate refund of R$297, since the error clearly came from Hotmart and the product was never delivered.
Hotmart needs to respect its customers and handle its internal errors responsibly.

BIG SCAMMERS “DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY”

So I followed the email that Hotmart sent and now it says I’m too late to get a refund.

Ad you can see that this was purchased 10 DAYS AGO AND THEY WONT REFUND.
Again. Stay away from this company.
They misrepresent their add and they are liars.
The little video they used to suck you in with, is totally absent of the real truth.

Just got back my refund last week. Thanks for following up with my return

These are a bunch of crooks

These are a bunch of crooks - and should be shut down immediately. Tried to contact them on a few occasions - but of course NO REPLY.
Did give them the option to reply - with a time scale - THEY CHOSE NOT TO.
So will go though procedures to Shut down their apps - locate them and take back what was stollen.

I saw an ad on Facebook for paid amazon product reviewer under Hotmart. I was charged $23.00 to register claiming first payment will be after the first 15 days that I reviewed aamazon products. Well, I am on the 14th day and the link was no longer accessible to me. When I click on it, I get the message below.

I want my money refunded..both transactions you hit me with

I want my money refunded! First off I was okay being charged the 29$ start fee then 15 seconds later I had another charge come thru of 47$ which I did NOT approve.. so it would be in y’all’s best interests to just give me back both those amounts I was charged!!. There was no where on anything g how to get my money returned within 10mins as ur spokesman said! Lies lies lies.. I’m super sour rt now.. so make this right!!

Do not attempt or purchase from this site. They have taken funds from my account on numerous occasions and refused to refund for service I have never used.

I had to contact my own bank to stop payments. They also will not speak or email. Evade like a plague unless you want to part with your hard earned cash.

Dwayne Johnson said they were legit.

I am in the industry and was invited by Dwayne Johnson.
We did a project in the past. He was saying youtube hired him and invited for those like in this area for a gig. We would work to help youtube better with ads etc on channels. He stated promised it wasn't a scam and he stated that access etc... in part paid for the platform service for such and stated it would be refunded after did the gig for them and also get the amount already given from youtube sending videos for me to review. in part hotmart was the processor and the service to give access and private member area to start this gig. but instead it wasn't that. I am owed as an influencer$231.91 plus $32 for the processing access. UPDATE : They did process the refund.

Additional charges, product not as presented

An initial payment of US$ 27.00 was done by paypall, followed by 2 extra (non-autorized) payments of US$ 67.00 and US$ 19.90
Digital product received had nothing to do with the add on Facebook. Tried to get refunds via their website with no results. Through paypall at at least got the US$ 67.00 back, rest is under presently under review. This is a 100% fraud and scam, don´t do business with them!!!

DONT DO IT

Got scammed 33.00 Bazo s hisself on video promising big money 1 hour day said I was rare choice to get paid to answer servey make 2-4 hundred a day. It’s been rough I hoped darn it! Boo hoo to the snakes take our money. Jeff for letting them. I believed it darn it! I need to go to trust pilot first not after. Don’t fall for the video.

I noticed that they replied, but everything that they tell you to do you can’t do you can’t email them you can’t respond to them. They are a POS company that rob you of your money thank God we have banks that dispute and get our money back it’s just a pain in the butt. So them writing a reply did not fix anything.

THE WORST SCAM YET!!

I clicked on a TikTok video that told me that if I was seeing that particular video, that I was 1 of the few people who were chosen to join a new "get paid to review product videos on TikTok" program, told me that in 10 minutes after answering 10 review ?s, paying a $27 fee to "make sure I was serious about being an ACTIVE/participating reviewer",.. that I would be paid (& able to withdraw) $318 PLUS refunded my $27 "investment fee"...
I willing paid the $27 fee to join the platform, the webpage went blank/white instead of taking me to any platform then they CHARGED MY CC TWO MORE UNAUTHORIZED FEES of $37 and $47 W/OUT NOTICE! When I called my bank to see if I could CANCEL the 2 UNAUTHORIZED charges, they told me that only whoever initiated the charges could do that, have me an 800 help # to ask for them to cancel the charges but NO SURPRISE, the # isn't in service anymore.
I NEED MY MONEY BACK RIGHT NOW, HOTMART!!

Hotmart are the biggest con artist, got an email from amazon saying as a valued customer they would like to offer me a mystery box i just had to pay postage of £6, did that and little did i know it wasn't from amazon it was from the low life scum Hotmart they then sent me a load of junk and because they had my login details the bank was reluctant to do anything so beware of these low life people from the Netherlands

TRICKS

Oct 4 2025 saw a post on Facebook claiming to be able to provide info on phone numbers i.e location, messages etc. I decided to get the information concerning a phone number which at first, they said was free, Then I had to pay for it. While paying, all sorts of other unrelated things came up requesting you to sign up for a small fee. Turns out to be Hotmart services. Don't know what level of trickery is this.

These people are scammers

These people are scammers! Last week i saw someone on Facebook advertising a company called Hotmart, encouraging people to join for a small fee of £32, watch videos and for everyone watched one will be paid. Also, the £32 would be refunded the next day.Decided to sign up, as it seemed all legal from my point of view. Paid the £32 and completed all the tasks set and received nothing. Contacted the company to find out what was going on, informed that this was basically nothing to do with them!!!

Sent numerous emails about delivery updates and tracking , they never replied, still waiting for my order after three weeks, have bought online before never had this problem, very poor customer service feeling frustrated 😞

Beware

Beware, this was an awful experience.
I consented to ONE purchase and immediately 3 more purchases appeared on my account which I dod NOT approve. No satisfaction from Hotmart.
Paypal also very disappointing..said orders were consistent with my order history, I am a 70 yr old Irish retired man, and suddenly i have an interest in"releasing my inner power" in French and Portuguese!!
Stay away from hotmart.

Buyers Beware

Like others, I received this ad on Instagram "Dwayne Johnson AI generated likeness". I went to "Trust Pilot" for legitimacy and Scam Detector as well. Satisfied it wasn't a scam, I paid the $29 fee with PayPal, reviewed the videos that indicated I would receive $213.17. From the finish of the videos watched "How to repair a iPhone, then scams on Google, I never recovered any money, the emails sent were in Spanish and the translation wasn't helpful. The "help Bot" was not helpful trying to ask for a refund, kept sending me to the website and responded with an email stating "If you want to contact our Customer Service team, simply access the Hotmart Help Center through the link: help.hotmart.com
The team will be at your disposal for whatever you need. could not access a real person ,only AI Bots. Did not know if I were categorized as a buyer, creator or affiliate Finally, I gave up to avoid going too deep, costing money or experiencing another recent stroke. So a $29.00 refund is not worth the aggravation. Keep it if needed that bad. I'll find another side hustle.
