Hotmart is 100% a scam

Hotmart is 100% a scam. Signed on to purchase a $37 course and was immediately billed an additional $97. It took an hour to find out how to request a refund but don't have high hopes. I think they make their money because people just give up trying to get a refund. These bums need to be brought to heel.

Suckered out of my money

Well there is no other way to say this other than the truth! This is a brilliant scam created by some punks with money to make money for absolutely nothing. I was absolutely mislead into spending 39.00 something that was ridiculous and I tried to get my money back and I was told I could not by hotmart and by chime when I disputed the charge because it's junk no real value whatsoever! I hope other people don't get suckered into spending their hard earned money on this crap!

Scammers

Actually, one star is too high a rating. This is a total shell game! Difficult to understand and even more difficult to use. Don't waste your time or money. It's been next to impossible to get arefund.

I have been charged $12.36/month for…

I have been charged $12.36/month for something I have absolutely no idea that I have purchased. Hotmart will not respond to my contacts. I have no account associated with any of my email addresses, but the charge says I have an account number. I cannot access anything to make it stop. **This is in response to direct contact with Hotmart customer service. They deny that a credit card statement is proof of ill-gotten gains. Have filed a fraud report with NL government and have an online meeting with lawfirm in Amsterdam specializing in fraud.

Hotmart show the Apple Pay logo

Hotmart show the Apple Pay logo, however it is not an option to purchase the product that I’m interested in. I will not give the long number on my card to make any purchases. So what the need to do is remove the Apple Pay logo

Hotmart enables misleading offers and refuses responsibility

I purchased the course “[THE CHANGE] 🎖️ Trading operation” in April 2025 after seeing it advertised on Instagram as a one‑time payment of $47. The offer was clear: pay once, get access.

Instead, I was enrolled in a subscription that was never disclosed in the advertising. When I canceled the subscription, I immediately lost all access to the course, despite having already paid.
I contacted the Producer directly, but received no reply at all. I then contacted Hotmart, expecting support as the platform that processed my payment. Instead, Hotmart repeatedly refused responsibility, claiming that only the Producer is accountable—even though Hotmart profits from hosting and facilitating these sales.This is misleading and unfair. Hotmart’s disclaimers do not absolve them of responsibility when they knowingly enable deceptive offers. Customers are left without access, without refunds, and without support.
I strongly advise others to be cautious: Hotmart does not protect buyers and refuses to own responsibility when Producers mislead customers.

My Hotmart Account Was Blocked Indefinitely – Important Warning for New Users

I’m writing this review so others don’t go through the same situation I experienced.

My Hotmart account was blocked more than 13 months ago, and I have been unable to access my earnings since that day. At the time my account was blocked, Hotmart’s old policy mentioned a maximum 180-day retention period for balance review. However, even after more than a year, nothing has been resolved.

When I contacted support, they told me that the block is now indefinite, and that the support team cannot request a re-evaluation or explain the exact reason for the block. They simply redirected me to read the Terms of Use and said that if any decision changes, I would be notified.

I understand that platforms need security and fraud prevention. But what worries me is:

No clear explanation of the reason for the block

No transparency regarding the balance held

No possibility of re-evaluation or appeal

Support unable to escalate the issue

I’m sharing this experience so new users can be aware of the risk: if your account gets blocked, you may lose access indefinitely, even if you followed the rules and try to resolve the issue.

I hope Hotmart improves transparency and communication with creators who depend on the platform.

These people charge your card multiple times a day for multiple amounts even though you didn't authorize it

I ordered something for under $3.00 and by the next day I began receiving charges from $9.99 to $89.99. I was able to get a partial refund because I showed PayPal how many times I tried to contact them. They sent me an email in English saying that I could apply for a refund and when I tried it wouldn't accept it because the website is in Portuguese. Please I advise everyone to stay away from this site.They use other names also so always read the contact info for a company before you order.

I would give you zero if I could

I would give you zero if I could. On 30th June I made a small purchase for €6. This was never delivered but was charged to my Paypal account along with several completely fictitious amounts for €34.80, €32.40, €18.00 and €16.80. Scammers and crooks! Hotmart have said they are going to refund all the payments. I'm not holding my breath

Unfair Account Block & Lack of Transparency – Very Disappointed

I have been extremely disappointed with my experience with Hotmart.

My account was permanently blocked without any valid explanation or evidence. Hotmart initially accused me of promoting illegal IPTV content, which is completely false. I have never sold or promoted anything illegal. My products were simple educational football training videos — fully legal and compliant with the platform’s policies.

After insisting on a manual review, Hotmart changed their message and claimed that my account was blocked due to “certain factors and behaviors,” but they refused to explain what those “factors” are. This lack of transparency is unacceptable for a platform that manages people’s businesses and earnings.

Every time I tried to contact support, I received repeated automated responses. It took a long time to get a human reply, and even then, they refused to provide evidence or details.

This situation has caused damage to my work, my income, and my trust in the platform.

I hope Hotmart improves its communication, transparency, and fairness toward users. No one deserves to have their account blocked without explanation or proof.

Hotmart is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I am 80yo

On the 01-11-2025 I purchased from Hotmart a set of plans for making trailers - a one off purchase - no complaints. During the purchase process after paying by PayPal Hotmart tried to upsell 2 additional products which I declined. after exiting I then found I had been charged for two products through my PayPal account.
I did not want the products nor did i have the funds available anyway. I sent numerous emails to support explaining with no response. I checked the two products and was able to download files for a GoCart kit, but the other product was not accessible. I sent a copy of the error messageto Hotmart. No response. Today on the 01-12-2025 another two entries appeared on my PayPal account.
I immediately cancelled Hotmart from my PayPal authorisations and checked back on the 2 transactions and found they were set up as monthly subscriptions

I have sent numerous emails but I have not had a single response. Brazil is in the bottom 10 countries for trust so they are living up to their reputation. Their response to Trust pilot today is "they are still looking at it". It is over six weeks since the transactions took place. I am not going to let the matter lie until I get a credit for the items that I did not authorise. Their business ethics stink.

I was miss lead by this company

I was miss lead by this company. I have sent several emails to them no response. Was told could not cancel anything since I didn't activate account. Well yet again thos month they have tried to take out 69 and was not told about thos at all. Cancelled my debit card 2 times now and getting old reported to my bank as fraud. Try calling number they give you and it does not work.

hotmart allows companies to scam customers

I was trying to buy a protocol of Dr. Jaramilla, but in reality was not his protocol. This company charge me 4 times different prices and different documents that I never asked for. I went to the platform hotmart and they put me to talk to a robot, finally I filled out my application of reimbursement. Several days later the company sent me messages to my e mail, telling me they reimbursed the money to my credit car, but they were lying because the money never got to my account. After all that I tried to contact hotmart and they kept me going in circles. Never got help. This guys really sucks......

Scam!!!

Hotmart are scammers. I've encountered the worst experience everr. They've use the fake video of Mr beast claiming to earn money through surveys. Unauthorized money withdrawals were made until nothing was left in my account. I have sent them several emails with no response sadly. I want a complete refund which seems is not going to happen.

They are scammers.

After I paid the $37 ( a payment to show I was genuinely wanting to survey Youtube ads and would be refunded after 2 ads were viewed) I took the courses they required and answered the 20 questions to be approved to survey videos and then spent a week viewing and commenting on the videos.
After I viewed several videos I was able to request payment be released to PayPal. It said payment would be made in 7 days. Two days before my payment was to be put in my PayPal account, they refunded the money I paid to sign up. And THEN they canceled my account so I can't go into it and I NEVER RECEIVED THE MONEY THAT I EARNED VIEWING VIDEOS. That is so wrong. I spent over a week viewing commercials and writing a review. Only to be canceled and not paid. I will be contacting the BBB and reporting fraud. I am disappointed in Instagram for allowing this on their platform. Also they used Dwayne Johnson to advertise this product. Don't know if it was AI but if not, I'm disappointed in him also.

Google needs to take responsibility for this

Here's the thing this is not a one day or one week scam that fell threw the cracks this is a scam that Google has aloud to continue on there owen system . They have had full knowledge of this for months and aloud hotmart to continue ripping people off out of there hard earned money . Without stopping them they have known about it the better business bureau knows about hotmart i have to admit I am one of the thousands that was scammed to this day I have not been able to get refund or seen a dime of the money earned . Now a leader in online companies world wide for years that employees some of the top people in the industry . WHY HAVEN'T GOOGLE TAKEN CARE OF THIS AND better yet when and how many people need to get scammed before they are held responsible ? There is NO WAY TO GIVE ANY COMPANY A GOOD REVIEW WHEN NOT ONE THING THEY ADVISE IS TRUE THEY TAKE TOUR MONEY LET YOU BUILD UP YOUR ACCOU AND NEVER PAY YOU , REFUND YOUR MONEY . Complicated ordering system which can taek more money for courses you did not want

I ordered their qigong course and when I checked my account they has taken payment for 3 other courses and memebership. They advertise course in English then process it in Portuguese so its impossible to know which button to press. This is a very dishonest way to treat their customers. I buy lots on online courses but will never again use hotmark. shame on you

I should have known...if it sounds too…

I should have known...if it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true. I should have researched all of this before I fell for it. I'll be contacting my credit card company and most likely canceling the card. After I paid the $37 (to survey YouTube ads), I'm taken to some "courses" where every video is 6 seconds with a message that it can't be played and to contact the creator. On another page I get a message that there was a previous purchase within the last 24 hours using this email address and to contact customer service. (This is my first encounter with this fraudulent company so how could they claim this and what does it even have to do with me supposedly having to complete 20 questions in order to get "approved" to do the surveys. They say that after completing 2 surveys, I'd also get my initial $37 back. What a waste of my time and inconvenience to now have to cancel my card and get the $37 back (invoice states it's for "INFINITE ACCESS" whatever that is. In addition, immediately after, they charged another $67 without my authorization or knowledge for something called "The Community" and a bunch of other crap. NONE of this has to do with completing surveys for YouTube ads. Stay clear of this scam and fraud charges. And shame on Instagram for allowing this ad drawing in people to a scam, which by the way seems to be endorsed by The Rock (unless they used an AI image of him). I'll be reporting them to the BBB and Attorney General if necessary. Calling credit card company now and then will take further action. No wonder they have a rating of one star. They are taking advantage of innocent people. How can they continually get away with it? There should be NEGATIVE stars or a ZERO rating.
