I booked Over hotelwhales.
A minute I realised a miszakr in the booking and wanted to correct it.
Called the Hotel they Said IT was No Problem. Hotelwhales declined my Change requests, even though the Hotel was flexible. Really unserious company. Dont book, BE cautious!

Scam company. Stay away

A legit business, not a scam, but not great either. Booked weeks in advance, but they didn't forward the funds to the hotel, although the hotel did have our reservation so that was good. In the end they couldn't fix the problem in a timely manner. Called and was hung up on a few times. They called back and had us send the receipt from where we payed out of pocket a second time for the room. Waiting to see if we get a refund from them, or the hotel. Overall, not great. Wouldn't use them again.

if you are booking a reservation for work and will need reimbursement afterwards, DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. getting these people to send you a receipt for your purchase is like pulling teeth! all they will send you is a booking number and the total amount, you will have to make several calls and emails to their customer service department just to get proof you paid for your reimbursement. i am still trying to get a real receipt showing my purchase with my credit card and its like they cant do it. i will make sure never to use this service, for work or personal reasons ever again.

Peoples been putting out a lot of bad words about hotelswheals I tell you I used them and everything went smooth thank Hotelwheals for my great deal I got I will be using you again soon Barb

we inquired about changing a reservation, and without our permission they cancelled our non-refundable room! They stole $1200 from us

This company is not recognised by the hotels. They do not even forward your email address so that the hotel can confirm your reservation. I had to phone the hotel to see if the booking had even been made. I contacted Hotelwhales and got a response saying that the hotel would send me confirmation in spite of not having my email address?? The correspondence was in extremely poor English. Book through someone else.

OTA without contracted rates, they undercut the official OTAs such Booking.com, Agoda.com and Expedia.com
They should respect hotel owner, and not dictating lower rates as much as they want.
Please take out rate disparity from Thailand, in here, we respect each other establishment. This is ethical business culture!

The price of the website is cheaper than Agoda or booking.In the first ,I was worried about that whether I could confirm my reservation. I received the reservation notice from hotelwhales.
However ,the system of the website doesn’t have the function to send the message to the hotel. I write the email to the hotel by myself to confirm my reservation.Successfully,The hotel told me that my reservation has been confirmed.
I already received the Confirmation Number Update before 7 days.
I am looking forward to having the nice trip.

The reason I'm holding the last star is because I haven't completed the whole experience yet, don't know will I get scammed at the end. So I found this website on Google Travel platform and it s providing the lowest price tag amongst the other platform, so I just gave it a try. The page does looked sketchy on dekstop, and design was like something that built in a hurry and featureless filter. Booked my hotel on April 9th for 4 night (June 4th- June 8th) staying in Mitsui Garden Hotel Nagoya Premier. Like many others, I'm worry being scammed by this platform since I cannot find more detail on this company, so I called to their customer service (around mid night Pacific) after booking to get my hotel reservation # which didn't included inside my booking email. After selecting few options via dialtone my call was redirected to a customer support in Asia region, the person spoke Mandarine directly which I didn't got prompt for the option. I emailed to the hotel directly after got my hotel reservation # from the customer support and received my response 3 hours later from the hotel receptionist. Now let's see will HotelWhales cancel my booking the last minute and leave me stranded when the time comes if is a scam.

At first, I was a little worried about whether I could successfully check-in, but when I arrived at the hotel, I told the hotel staff my name and email address, they can find my order in their system, so all my concerns were dispelled.

I really recommend this site to book a hotel.

Seeing last review from 27 March "A fake site. No confirmation or contact after booking and payment" I was afraid of my booking made in Abu Dhabi on May 20th which made on HotelWhales the same day, especially that it was cheapest available rate. As the booking confirmation HotelWhales sent me included the company confirmation only I sent e-mail to their customer service on 28th of March at 15.25 with request to send me the hotel booking number and received their response with the hotel reservation number the same day at 16:21. Seeing risk anyway today I asked the hotel directly and received following answer:
Dear Sir,
Good day!
The below confirmation number you have provided in your email is correct and confirmed.

So in my case everything was good and my review score can not be other then 5/5
