One year ago i booked a room in Barcelona for primavera sound. today without any notice booking was canceled unilaterally (the card I used to book was an old one, but payment was due next week at the beginning of my stay). Nobody alerted me of anything, or asked for an alternative guarantee. Thanks to this, I am now without an accomodation in Barcelona, and the hotel "offers" me to re-book the room paying 3 times more for the room. Hotels.com "offers" me to book anything i like. Thank you, this is the worst service I've ever had from a hotel in my life. You have one job to do, bookings. And making sure they are booked and tourists are not left on the streets. One job.

complete fraud! they put very low pricing on their website. but once you enter your credit card details they charge the double of the amount that what you have booked for! I will report to the police!
After 10 days of booking a 3-days stay through Hotel.com, the hotel customer service called me to inform that their hotel is fully booked and they have no idea how the website could sell the room. In order to clear the issue I tried to call the Hotels.com customer service if such a thing really exists. Hours of trying and zero result. The only service they provide after the booking is a chat-bot which brings all the unnecessary common topics just to check your ego-strength under pressure.

Customer service got some kind of psychotic, enjoyment out of watching me suffer. I have no idea why. I have never seen customer service hang up on me 3 times. Laughing because I lost hundreds of dollars, it is beyond unprofessionalism: They are psychotically happy about seeing someone lose money.
