I had high hopes for this product but unfortunately I was very disappointed. The boxes take ages to get going, and often go out completely. I’ve resorted to putting another firelighter next to the box but this obviously defeats the object. Frustrating!

Ease of use, didn’t need kindling, really clean and my fire was hotter than ever.

Tried this in my wood fired pizza oven today! Been using them for a while in my wood burner but it was the first time in the garden for a while! Added a few logs stacked around Hot Box and full in fire in 5 minutes. Superb and simple fire starting tool.

I'd give Hot Box ten stars if I could. I was rather concerned about having a wood burner installed as the job was complicated. I need not have worried, the 'boys' were absolutely brilliant! They took so much care not to damage the existing stone surround and they then reinstalled it more perfectly than it was originally, which was a few cms out. They also were very careful to lay down plastic sheeting, to keep dust at a minimum, then they cleaned up thoroughly when they’d finished. I am really delighted with the way this was carried out… no one could have done it more professionally, in my opinion. I'd recommend them without any hesitation whatsoever.

Deeply unimpressed with a sample I purchased. If this was a firework I’d call it a dud. It did eventually get going, but took far too long, and was never as good as a couple of firelighters and some kindling. The latter would have been quicker too.

Fantastic way to light my woodburner, I usually use kindling and wool firelighters and sometimes paper but this is much easier and quicker.

I particularly like the fact you can add your logs at the start and just light it. These will be in my cupboard and ready to use for sure.
