Hi, i would like to say that Hosting power are very experienced, efficient, & friendly, i am a number of years with them & I can only say good things about them. .

I am very happy with the whole process of getting guests on board. There are always plenty of potential lodgers on the site to make connection with. The 2 girls I have at the moment are just lovely

I have just finished my 1st experience hosting a young couple who were lovely & left the apartment to the same standard as they received it. Excellent response from Hosting Power support who responded to any queries I had promptly. The website is user friendly & easy to navigate. All in all an excellent 1st experience!

EHosting Power are a great company, they do all the background checks, so you feel very safe when you have a guest staying. Somehow they send people who work miles away, so you do need to do a check before you decide and if a person arrives and they are far from the place they need to be, they will have to change and its a nightmare for them and you. Otherwise Hosting Power are valuable. Thank you.

It’s great when you get a booking confirmed , but then when your looking forward to them coming and they then decide not to accept as it may be to much if a distance for them. They have accepted the booking so just wondering should they pay a cancellation fee and who decides how much the price of the room to be ?

Simple. Quick.efficient.

I have had a generally positive experience with Hosting Power in Ireland. The staff I have dealt with have always been professional, courteous, and genuinely caring. Whenever I contacted them, they responded politely and took the time to explain their processes, which I appreciated.
However, there is one aspect of their business model that I strongly disagree with, and I have raised this concern with them in several emails. It relates to how they determine the maximum weekly rent that hosts can charge for a bed let in different areas of Ireland.
In my case, the issue is with Salthill. Hosting Power has capped the weekly rent for a bed let at €230 per week. Based on my knowledge of the local rental market, I believe a fair market rate is closer to €285 per week. This cap limits what hosts can realistically earn, despite the demand for accommodation in the area.
From my perspective, the pricing policy appears to benefit Hosting Power more than the host. My understanding is that Hosting Power's fee is around €600 for securing a tenant. I believe they keep the weekly rent lower because they feel that if the advertised price is too high, the room may take longer to rent or may not be rented at all, which could affect their ability to earn their placement fee. While I understand the commercial reasoning behind this approach, I do not believe it fairly reflects the market value in locations such as Salthill.
I think hosts should have greater flexibility to set their own prices based on local demand and the quality of the accommodation they are offering. A fixed cap may work in some areas, but in stronger rental markets it can leave hosts earning significantly less than they reasonably could.
Overall, I would still say that Hosting Power provides a professional service with staff who genuinely try to help. My criticism is not directed at the employees but at the company's pricing policy, which I believe could be reviewed to better balance the interests of both hosts and the company. Hence the 4 star.
