No toilet paper in restrooms. No napkins to dry yourself from washing hands. No soap. Attendant said he didn't have any. Poor customer service.

Spam/scam.

Literally just spam emails that I never signed up for. Tried to unsubscribe, that just doubled the amount of mail I got about random junk products.

spammy emails

I keep getting spammy emails from HOPIN. Didn't even know who they are or what they do is why I'm on this site. From what I'm seeing people are getting ripped off to the tune of thousands. Thanks but no thanks.

They changed their plans after we…

They changed their plans after we signed up for on year and then put us on a monthly plan which didn't even exist when we signed up, and now refuse to give a refund despite us never consenting or wanting to continue. It's theft. Don't deal with hopin.

Hopin is the worst events platform in the industry

Hopin is the worst events platform in the industry. We have used Hopin on few times. We hosted an big event that was full of problems. It was a S*** show. No way to contact anyone for help. They do not pick up the phones. Sell the subscription, take the money and walk away.

I am telling everyone in the Event Industry. Stay away. I never recommend this platform.

All Hopin 5-star reviews are fake. They give $20 Amazon gift cards and take fake reviews. After that, they mislead customers. They are Scammers.

This is the second time I post my 100% genuine exercise. They removed my first review.

Stay away

Stay away. We used Hopin on many occassions since June 2020. We considered ourselves experts. But after paying upfront for a full year subscription, we hosted an event that was full of problems...attendees could not access the event. Sound issues and more. It was a $%^# show. Based on this we decided to cancel our subscription and Hopin would not respond to us and or address the issues. STAY AWAY!!!! Thieves...would not refund our money for the remaining unused portion of the year. The amount was over $15,000.

Complete scam

This is a huge scam. I have received over 20 emails from them even though I've unsubsidized twice. I have never even heard of this place until i started getting these emails. I'm real tempted to dig even deeper and get a lawyer involved and sue for harassment

Lots of improvements needed

I love all the solutions we currently use except Hopin;
- need to register to events in advance and can't jump on calls last minute
- you can't listen to events on your phone if you screen is locked - and many more issues on phone
- sometimes I register and I still have to reregister due to some issues
+ some other glitches
I would just stay with googlemeet/zoom/teams

Useless

Useless, was excited about the platform... But it's nearly unusable... Not easy to understand, and couldn't message who I wanted. It simply didn't work well... Needlessly... Its a simple messaging software essentially... Its been done before... Just copy the interfaces that actually work. Terrible waste of time.

Don’t get this if you want to retain customers.

Don’t get this if you want to retain customers. As an paid attendee at a programming event two years in a row, Hopin is a waste of time and money. Last year and this year, the hosts ended up having to send new tickets as links work then do not work. There is agenda planning BUT, you can not set up your agenda until the first speaker starts speaking. So as a company owner, I have 3 days of my calendar on hold waiting for the event to start. At promised start time… the button for Agenda does nothing. So the hosts keep reposting… go to the third button on the left and scroll down past all the vendors and the agenda should be there. Should be. Sometimes it is. Sometimes it is not. And never log out, even if they suddenly start sound and you need to take a call. Log out, log in with same link. No longer have any status. Note, whatever status you have is not displayed on screen, making troubleshooting more of a mess. People in the chat (software programmers and IT professionals) are lost and baffled by the interface and messaging. Finally, I am in. I set up my agenda for 3 days. I click each item one at a time to add each to my calendar. Great. I have another meeting and while in the meeting sound and video start in the session, so I log out. When it is time for first event I want to attend... Click on calendar link. Not allowed in. Click on original invite... no longer have my purchased status. 30 minutes after that 50 minute session started, I get a new ticket and now I have 2 more days of broken links on my calendar and an agenda in a not working login. Hopin is as bad as any software can get. The market has an opening. Sorry to be blunt but you wasted so much of my time two years in a row. I do not appreciate it. DAY 2: Presenters are confused by the app. There is a weird 1:1 dating app (my words) called networking but it is awkward. No filters. I wanted to network with people offering specific products and services. Schedule button on Agenda still does not work. The vendor emailed me about how to find stuff... exactly. I have attended online conferences and run online conferences. Vendor pointed out host could of allowed agenda earlier. Sounds like a great default. There is a trade show but the filtering is a mess and the descriptions are short. One had a person just in front of a cam on a computer. I am not sure she realized she was. I wanted to search for specific needs but no luck. I can tell from reviews that some make money from this app and some figure it out. But the outcomes are the result of the tool and training and if it is so hard to use that software developers can not use it... Still not more than one star from me.

Hi Mark, We're sorry to hear you had a less than stellar experience with Hopin. We would love to dig in to understand exactly what happened as the issues you've outlined are a bit unusual and we would love the opportunity to make it right. Please send a note to customermarketing@hopin.com.

Your schedule is located in the reception area and typically on the registration page as well. You can add the whole event to your personal calendar or add only the segments you're interested in to the “My agenda” feature. Organizers must enable “Early Access” for events for attendees to see more info and use “My agenda” before the start date. It sounds like the event you attended didn't have this feature enabled. In any case, we do hope you give us a second chance to prove the value of our platform. - Veronica Covdy, Sr. Customer Advocacy Manager

100+ virtual & hybrid events organised within 18 months

We've been working with the hopin platform since March 2020. Initially, we began our relationship as an events organizer that needed to (scramble) pivot a 2500 physical event to a virtual variant, in 8 days...

Soon after, Hopin and Wolves Summit embarked on a new collaboration, through which we supported Hopin customers with A/V and production requirements. This allowed Wolves Summit to morph from being not only a hopin customer, but also a production agency for hopin (providing a vital new revenue stream to us during COVID).

Since then, we have organized external events for organizations such as Panasonic, United Nations, UNIDO, Vienna Energy Forum, MIT Enterprise Forum, British Embassy, Department for International Trade, European Innovation Council, Vienna Business Agency, PwC, GTR Ventures, amongst others.

What is paramount to us as events organizers in our own right, as well as technical production providers is reliability.

Throughout the 100+ events that we've organized over the last 18 months, I can honestly count on one hand the number of times we've encountered any technical issues whilst using the hopin platform (of which some would have been attributable to cloud service interruption) - this is why we choose to work exclusively with hopin.

Hopin Limitations

We were not given all of the information around the limitations of the Hopin platform. Here are some:
1.) limited guests can be on screen at one time
2.) the main stage is awkward for speaker and admin
3.) there are no breakout rooms available
4.) Screen share is clunky and unintuitive
