Hopegoo makes me want to never fly again

I bought round trip flights for me and my partner for Dec 2025. The airline, Jetblue, canceled the flight the day before due to a storm. It happens...though Jetblue and Hopegoo were both impossible to reach with multi-hour hold times on the phone, and we didn't have time to spare. We eventually just booked a new one-way ticket out, and hoped Hopegoo/Jetblue would give us a partial refund later.

Because we kept our return flight they refuse to give any refund. They did not allow us to do a partial cancelation of the itinerary, and if we had to book new return flights they would have been at 4x the cost last minute. Additionally my partner and I were not seated together on our flight home.

My first time went well.

Not sure why this site has so many bad reviews. I tried it for the first time and booked a Spirit flight for $50 less than the official price. The ticket was issued within 24 hours with no issues. I’ll definitely use it again.

Booked a flight through them, the airlines cancelled the flight due to weather and offered a full refund along with an apology. However, since I booked through these scammers, I had to go contact them for refunds and they decided to keep the entire amount for themselves.

This web site is the worst,go elsewhere you will lose your money,I mistakenly booked a flight for wrong date becuase I kept coming back to the site because the payment didn't go thru so Google reset the dates and I didn't notice till finally I paid twice @!!then inside the 24 hours tried to get a refund and cancell ,cannot do it!!they are in china!!no good numbers to call and the reps don't care they say this is not refundable ,this is our policy sorry,and they charged me twice++GO ELSEWHERE,THIS ARE MASKED CROOKS!!+

Scam. Flight. No real booking.

Paid for a flight.
We got an itinerary, but our flight was never booked with the airline.
We paid for seat reservations. Never got to reserve our seats or do check-in before flights.
3 hours before flight, receive an email that claim that something went wrong with out reservation.
We had to scramble to find a replacement flight.
1 hour before flight, got another email claiming that flight was delayed by 7 hours, trying to blame the airline.
This was not true. The orginal flight left on time.
HopeGoo refused to refund despite failing to deliver on the flight we paid for.

Booked a flight through Hoprgoo.com…

Booked a flight through Hoprgoo.com (Calgary - Prince George) in Canada, only to get to the airport and I was told at the check in kiosk that I DON'T have a valid ticket. I Even showed the agent my payment and issued itinerary from Hopegoo.com but it was not successful as the details was not on their system. I had to make another payment. Their refund was $0 as the processes is automatic. U cant imput anything. My advice is DONT USE HOPEGOO.COM, they are scammer. You can't even contact Hopefoo.com customer service.

Worked as expected - saved a LOT

Not sure how or why, but our flight with Westjet from Canada to Honduras was HALF the price of any other aggregator and the Westjet site itself. Booking on an unknown site can be risky, but I considered a few things. 1. Google Flights had them as a link in their search. 2. They are Singapore-based (says the internet). Generally a rule-abiding, commerce-first market. 3. I booked using a credit card with good refund policies. Worst case, charge back would ensue. Overall, the site worked, I got my flight code within 24 hours and I paid exactly what was indicated and I can see my trip on Westjet.com so its issued. No complaints. Be cautious, take precautions, but if you are going to save $2000 - I say worth the risk!!

NEVER BOOK A HOTEL ROOM

We book a hotel in Hongkong knowing this hopegoo.com is based in China and regrated it.

The amount is HKD2,965.58 was debited from by credit card for a 4 night stay during PEAK December 2025. However, they send us an email about 17 days before our stay saying "your booking is rejected and we are trying to sort it out, please wait".... This started a waiting game and we just kept ourself WORRIED and check with them every day (via email and webchat) as the whole family may end up no where to sleep as long as they continue to "sort it out". Days pass and eventually we gave up 12 days before our stay and have to pay extra for a room in another website.

Hopegoo.com, you are inhumane and show no thoughts for your customer. Our request for refund has not been refunded and we shall publish this bad experience to all unaware customer from patronizing your site. Never patronize them as they are only interested to debit your money without checking whether there is a room or not!!

They do not think I am going to Hongkong and doing this to earn credit/cheap compensation.They also demand to see the guest staying, proof of hotel check in/out etc. i guess it is to discourage us from pursuing further claim from them.
-Third Reply 12.12.25. Hopegoo sent numerous email asking for tedious but no compensation to date. They wish to make a payment less than what is promised and keep dragging the process with bad intention.
-No reply from them although I enquire with a few emails asking for an answer. They just push you to different virtually 'created department and ask you to wait for their department to answer you back. It seems like they are closing the subject and try to run away from their misdeed. It is pure bad business practice.

Misleading website, doing fraud

i tried to book a flight. at the time of payment the website gave message that payment was not authorised by the bank and booking is not confirmed. I booked the ticket with another website. An hour later i noticed that money had been debited form my account and Hopegoo issued the ticket. This is wrong informaiton given by them and is a fraud. The customer services are slow to respond. their telephone number is in China only. It is two days and there is no confirmation that they are refunding my money.
I have been in touch with their customer services via email but it is now ten days. They have refused to accept their mistake and refused to refund.

Buyers be aware

Buyers be aware. I lost $1700 because I bought non refundable fare. No flexibility whatsoever. Very poor communication, half is Chinese. During chats most of conversation didn't make sense. No point in asking for supervisor or anything like that. Oh and by the way, they work on Bejing timezone so you better get some sleep before you contact them.

Update: when you checkout on the website, they offer as they put it "100% refund guarantee", but its not a 100% refund in case of cancellation, because they are limiting refund to $71 so you might be paying thousands for flight and getting SCAMMED into thinking you are getting a refund.

Replying to hopegoo: airline did return $340 and you guys kept $1400. So the ticket cost $340 and hopegoo fee is $1400, how does it make any sense

Total scam

Found out at airport that my flight was canceled 24hours prior but i hadn't been informed because hopegoo didnt give the airline my contact details.

Then when i went to contact travelgoo, the cuatomer service chat system wouldnt work and they have no phone number for support.

My Experience with This Company

My experience with this company has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I’ve spent far too much time going back and forth with customer service, only to receive the same repeated responses with no real help or resolution.

When I tried to make a change to my booking, I followed all the necessary steps, but the company failed to provide clear guidance or any flexibility. Instead of offering real support or accountability, they simply referred me to policies and avoided taking responsibility.

I do not recommend this company due to their poor communication, lack of understanding, and unwillingness to assist customers in a fair or timely manner. I will not be using their services again and will be leaving an honest review to warn others about my experience.
