3rd gate kit throught Hoover Fence
These gate kits are easy to use and keep everything looking and working good for years. This 3rd kit arrived as described on web site. FYI, this kit is for a new fenced in area (the other two 10 yr old gates from Hoover Fence are still fine). Didn't use to give reviews for companies that do what they're supposed to do - since that is less common these days I wanted to put this in for Hoover Fence.

Didn't like the condition or quality of the posts i received. The end post was much smaller than the line post by an inch at least and the line post was pretty rough looking. Im only pickdy because when i get these for my customers they also must like the product. The shipping was extremly higher than most anywhere ive done business. Maybe thats the catch

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review about our Western Red Cedar Posts. We're sorry to hear that you weren't happy with the posts that you received. These are Jumbo grade posts, so they should have much more girth than the standard posts found at big box stores. The line posts will have a rectangular shape, while the end/corner posts will have a more square shape. These posts are split, not milled, which is why every post will have it's own character. We do offer Lap Rail posts if you want a milled finish where each post has a uniform cut. We reviewed your shipping costs and your shipping was already adjusted to the best rate prior to you placing the order. Unfortunately, shipping costs can be on the high-side to ship just two 5.5' posts via UPS. When we ship larger orders via truck, the rates are normally better. All Cedar orders will be shipping from our Ohio store location, so shipping out west is also a factor when determining shipping costs. If you would like a custom quote for any of our fencing, then please reach out to our sales staff and we will make sure that you get the best ship rate. Thank you!
Easy to install and works very well
Easy to install and works very well. My horse had no issues going in and out of her stall. I just left it for her to do on her own, as she has another stall to use without the door. I don’t think it was clear on specs as to how high to place the sill plate, so my curtain is a few inches off the ground as my header was too high. May need to put in another header board and reinstall the sill plate so the curtain goes to the ground.

The latch is fine. The $20 standard shipping fee for an item weighing less than a pound was outrageous.

High Quality gate kit
Adjust a gate kit is the only way to go when you need maximum variance in gate width openings. It can hold the weight when modified with chain link galvanized post brackets. Highly recommend.
