TRASH
TRASH. They refuse to give clear customer service instructions and DRAG THEIR FEET over the most simple refund in the world.
The mobile site is deliberately set-up to be hard/impossible to cancel on. DO NOT TRUST HOOTSUITE WITH YOUR TIME AND BUSINESS.
ABYSMAL customer service
I pay $4700 a year for Hootsuite services and have been trying to resolve an issue that is on their end for the past three weeks. 30+ emails back and forth to explain the issues (which would have taken 5 minutes over the phone). Finally got a call scheduled yesterday. When I dialled the number, it went to voice mail. Over and over again! I sent follow-up emails. Nothing! Gobsmacked at the lack of respect for their customers. I have never seen anything like this. I use FREE services that provide far better customer support.

What happened to Hootsuite? Extremely disappointed
I should have read these reviews before signing up for the free trial!
While I was overseas in June, I got a notification that my subscription payment following my free trial had failed. On June 5th, I tried logging in to resolve it, but my login failed and the account verification link didn’t work, so I couldn’t investigate further. I assumed, as with most trials, that a failed payment would suspend the account until I updated the payment details. Unfortunately, I was wrong.
Today, after returning to Australia, I found an unpaid invoice for $437 AUD! I haven’t used any services in the app, other than connecting my work's social accounts. When I logged in, I saw a notification about the failed payment and overdue invoices, but also a button saying 'start my paid subscription'—I'm so confused!
I’m already in debt and can’t pay this invoice, nor will my work cover this cost as I didn't authorise it with my manager (I used my personal debit card).
Hootsuite, please rethink your strategy. Five years ago, you were a pioneer in social media management, and I used your services religiously. It’s disappointing to see the lack of focus on customer experience. Please consider if the poor reviews are really worth that extra $437.

HORRIBLE customer service
HORRIBLE customer service. They charged me over $1k on an account that was for an old client I no longer had access to, and absolutely refused to work with me to get a refund. I worked with my bank on trying to get the charge back even... but now because the bank looked at the transaction they cant help at all?? HATE. Do not recommend at all. Horrible for small businesses.

I have been using Hootsuite for a few…
I have been using Hootsuite for a few months and, on the whole, have been pleased with the product.
However, one major issue is leading me to rethink whether this is of use to me in the future.
On three occasions over the last few days, I have been at the end of developing a social media post and the system has suddenly taken me back to the home page. My draft text and image isn’t to be found anywhere. This is unrelated to anything happening on my laptop and the internet connection is absolutely fine.
The issue I have is a) being kicked out for no apparent reason and b) unlike packages like Canva, the draft does not automatically save causing me a few hours of extra work.

Not worth it, terrible customer service, put you on automatic payments, and won’t refund you.
The company is forever increasing their prices, yet not giving customers anything for their value. I paid for one year and when I got an email saying the price was almost doubling, I didn’t renew and switched to Buffer (which I love); little did I know, they set everyone up for automatic renewal without customer consent. I was charged for two years that I was not using and am now out almost $2000. I contacted support and they said that they set everyone up on automatic renewal and they refuse to give me a refund for either year, despite it never being used.
Absolutely horrible and I would steer clear from this company at all costs.

The worst customer service I’ve…
The worst customer service I’ve experienced. Never addressing my questions, generic fobbing off answers only, changes to the product and functionality without any logical explanations. Avoid using this expensive platform - it’s not worth it. Platforms like Canva are upping their content planning functionality, so goodbye Hootsuite.

Exceptional Customer Support from Adrian at Hootsuite!
I had a fantastic experience with Hootsuite’s help desk, thanks to Adrian, who assisted me on May 14. He was incredibly helpful and resolved my issue quickly, which was such a relief. This experience really demonstrates that Hootsuite values its customers and prioritizes high-quality service. I’m thoroughly impressed with the consideration and efficiency of their support team. Highly recommend Hootsuite for anyone needing reliable and effective partner with strong customer support!

Hootsuite Unexpected Charges
Hootsuite charged my card for an exorbitant rate that I never agreed to. I requested a refund the following day and they refused to refund me.
UPDATE: After some arm twisting, hootsuite customer service refunded me. It shouldn't have been more than one simple step (especially considering their lack of gaining explicit agreement for the price increase) but they did the right thing in the end which is most important.

Extremely Disappointed with Customer Service and Billing Practices
I am incredibly frustrated with Hootsuite's customer service—or the lack thereof. All I wanted was information on upgrading my plan from one to three users, but their system is remarkably inefficient and user-unfriendly. Firstly, there is no direct line to speak with a real person; the only available option is a chatbot that proved utterly useless in addressing my concerns. When I attempted to escalate my issue by submitting a support request email, it went completely unanswered.
Moreover, the billing issues have only compounded my dissatisfaction. Having already paid for a one-user account last month, Hootsuite is now attempting to charge me for a full year's subscription for a three-user account anew. This feels like a blatant disregard for fair billing practices and customer loyalty.
If you're considering Hootsuite for your social media management needs, be wary of their customer support and billing systems.

Several years later they've not fixed the same problems they always have had, let alone attempt to upgrade and integrate new features.
Cannot rely on the service to do the bare minimum

Terrible customer service and underhanded renewal practices
We used Hootsuite enterprise for a couple of years and were increasingly unhappy as the customer service was dismal. No replies for months, no resolutions, shocking all around. They were very aware of our dissatisfaction. We had said in previous feedback that we had no intention of renewing.
We didn't get a proper renewal notice and were shocked that when we cancelled our plan, we were told we were seven days too late and should have given a whopping two months notice. They're forcing us to pay for a year's worth of their services, $22,000 (!), despite the fact we've migrated away and hadn't been using it for several months already at this point. Trying to negotiate or discuss has been like hitting a brick wall.
Edit: There is no way to contact you through this platform and we've not been getting anywhere via email - please share a new address if you have it

Not very reliable sheduling service
I just cannot schedule posts and go about my day without worrying that something will not post in time. For weeks, scheduling to the Threads is constantly failing. I understand that the service is still in beta, but seems like Hootsuite don't know why posting fails every time

Terrible customer service
Buyer beware! Hootsuite won't let you schedule stories or tag users in carousel posts and constantly disconnects from social accounts. They won't issue refunds unless a request made within 30 days. So if you are unhappy with your services 6 months into your year-long plan you're on your own.
