I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through Home Vested to think twice.

As a tenant, my experience was extremely disappointing and, at times, intimidating. The agency charges the tenant an agency fee instead of the landlord, which already sets the tone for how they operate. Communication throughout the tenancy felt disrespectful and dismissive.

There were occasions where they entered the property without proper notice and brought people into the apartment uninvited. Before even asking whether I wanted to renew, they were already notifying me of viewings for my room. My request to renew was denied, despite this not being communicated clearly from the start. Maintenance issues often took a long time to be addressed, with little sense of urgency or responsibility.

The deposit process is also unclear and concerning. The deposit is not held in a secure third-party protection scheme but kept with the owner. The agency made it clear they would not get involved in any deposit issues, yet I had no direct contact with the owner. There is no transparent process and very little accountability.

After my tenancy ended, I asked if I could leave a few belongings temporarily with a friend who is still living in the property. Although she initially suggested it would be fine, she was later threatened with potential problems by the agency for allowing this. The approach again felt unnecessarily aggressive and disproportionate.

As someone who rents out my own property in my home country, I was genuinely shocked by the way tenants are treated. Renting a home should come with basic respect and professionalism. Instead, the experience felt transactional and unsupportive, with little regard for the fact that this is someone’s home.

If you are considering renting through this company, make sure you fully understand the terms, your rights, and exactly how your deposit will be handled before signing anything.

I worked with both a mortgage broker and a lawyer. While the mortgage broker was adequate, I had a negative experience with the lawyer, Anna Atanassova. She was consistently late, made decisions about my case without my knowledge or consent, and offered no advice regarding my options or the realistic outcome. Furthermore, she never proactively provided updates, I consistently had to chase her for information. She embodied the worst expectations one might have of a lawyer.

Cassandra is a truly exceptional professional and individual. I sought her assistance with securing a mortgage in Spain, and every interaction was incredibly positive. I found her to be completely trustworthy and felt immense confidence in her expertise. Cassandra significantly enhanced my experience of buying a home in Spain, making it far more productive and joyful.

Ioana provided with an excellent service finding a mortgage to buy a house in Spain. She was very responsive and efficient and guided us through the whole process so we never felt lost. We are very thankful with her and will 100% recomend homevest

My mortgage application wasn't a standard one. I switched form another mortgage broker because I was unhappy with what they tried as in getting me good mortgage offer. From day 1 Samuel provided excellent service. From convincing banks my profile was actually very safe and fighting (with his chef) for my right to choose another insurance company when the one the bank offered didn't fit my needs. Samuel went all the way, helped me with getting everything organised at the notary and with the banks. I am sure that I myself or the average mortgage broker couldn't have gotten me this deal. So very happy with this service, can recommend 100%

I did not go all the way with my loan but Homevest seem to be a very useful partner in applying for a loan that I will use next time if needed.

My request was perfectly addressed and in a timely manner. Very friendly helpful and well informed staff who acted immediately and informed me in very clear intelligible manner.

Homevest did an outstanding job! Within a few weeks we had our real estate financing in place. First serviced by Nicholas who did a really great job on our behalf and then by Erik who absolutely matched him. We say thank you and would recommend Homevest anytime.

I unfortunately didn't find these noble souls immediately and used another broker which was pushy and got us a bad quote. Terrible experience.

Fortunately, we then found Erik from homevest on reddit when they provided us with important info with no expectations, free of charge.

They then spent time answering all our questions before we were their customers. They have truly gone above and beyond...and then beyond some more!! I was floored by their customer service. Possibly the best I have received in my entire life.

Ontop of that they are free! They get paid in the backend by the banks, whereas others would charge us from $2000 to $3300 upfront, plus possibly another 5k in mortgage opening fees (Yikes!).

Trust me, i'm not even doing them justice here. I am a demanding customer and I expect good customer service as a minimum. But I'll be god-danged if I don't shower businesses who deserve it with praise.

And homevest.io deserve all the praise in the world. I will be singing their praises until I die, and direct anyone who wants to buy in Spain, Portugal, Greece or Romania towards them. I am in their debt as they have probably saved me tens of thousands of dollars in interest.
