Really great all round!
Really great! Communication and helpfulness first class. Thanks!
Phenomenal service from James
Phenomenal service from James. First time customer just enquiring about a fairly cheap item (killswitch). Blown away by the amount of time and knowledge shared with me to get the correct one for my guitar, and what to do to check things. His site looks incredible too, I've bookmarked it to return to in the future. 11/10
Solderless Sets for Left and Right Handed Players
James custom builds the sets,so this was my second set that I needed. He helped me navigate the new tariff stuff, and was able to complete my order super quickly.Shipping was fast and secure, with sturdy box packaging. As a left handed guitarist,I choose Home of Tone for their selection, pricing, and quality.
Great place to buy from
Great selection - James will always try and get round to any direct comms pretty quickly too, having emailed a few times in the past as well as purchasing more recently, and I find the pricing competitive.

Good communication
Good communication, well packaged, 50's lp wiring harness plus toggle switch and jack plug and lead.
Great instructions available. Managed to install myself (no previous experience), great
improvement when using volume controls to clean up sound.
Great product, service and craftsmanship.
Arrived quickly and exceptionally well packaged. I’ve yet to use it, but the quality of the work and the components used are outstanding. The packing was also a work of art in itself, Will definitely buy from them again.

Turned my Fender Deluxe HSS in an 80's superstrat
I bought the HSS set for the Stratocaster from James. After conversion it came to €87, but with VAT and customs another €41 was added! The package itself is luxuriously packed: it’s immediately clear you’re getting a premium product. The assembly and soldering are top-notch, with a professional finish. Normally the pots will fit perfectly, but I have a ‘Strat Deluxe’ with an S1 switch and a passing lane push switch for the humbucker. Because of that, you have to bend the ground wire a bit to make it fit. To avoid making the switch redundant, I now use it to split the humbucker into a single coil. Since you’re working with Fender single coils and a Seymour Duncan JB4, you need to reverse the humbucker’s polarity (so red goes to ground). The modification makes a big difference in sound—exactly as it should! Also, the rotation resistance of the volume knob is much better: the S1 knob was far too loose. Thanks James!

Brilliant service
Brilliant service, excellent advice and the harness delivered was immaculately made and has made my guitar so much more versatile compared to the stock wiring. Heartily recommended.
Great products
Great products, super fast delivery, a personal note in every package, and really top-notch craftsmanship on the wiring looms for so many different guitar models.
